Best Western Atrium North in Austin

I liked the hotel until their wifi went down being a business trip Internet service was critical. I needed an address at one point and asked the desk if they could look it up for me. What I needed was a specific lake location that I only knew about via the Internet. After waiting a few minutes, I was handed a phone book... Eventually I was offered the […] use of the lobby computer. It did not work until someone came down to fix it. By the time I was able to use it, I was able to do some of my work but not all I needed. Went to my next day meeting exhausted and had to stop on the way home to sleep for an hour. My room was nice, spacious and clean. Value was good for location. As we were waiting in line to check in, another guest was complaining to the front desk about his key not working. Upon hearing this, my husband decided we should go check out the room before bringing in our bags. Once we were given our card key, we headed up to the room to check it out. Only the card key didn't work. We tried for several minutes before […] heading back down to the desk, only to stand in line and wait for another turn. The woman at the desk called maintenance several times on the walkie talkie. After waiting 5 minutes, she called a man who informed her maintenance had gone home for the day. He came out to check out door. Apparently, you have to jam the card key several times very quickly into the lock to make it work. Then if that still doesn't work, jiggle the handle, wait a few seconds, and jam it quickly again. Location was easy to find and a 10 min drive from downtown. Room was clean and had the basic amenities, such as a microwave and small fridge. Free WiFi, cable, and breakfast was more than your ordinary cereal. Eggs made fresh! Never ran out of hot water or water pressure, and staff was helpful and friendly. Will stay here again!

The overall stay was good, the only issues I had was there was a few nets flying around in my room and the AC was a little loud. Other than that it was a good stay, I would stay again....

I enjoyed the stay. However, I did not need the room and i could not cancel becasue of some stipulation. The customer service rep. said that in the confirmation email ia specified time was given if a cancelation was necessary. I reviewed the email and only a day not a time was given. The tub drain was stopped up, the shower head had little water coming out of it. There was too much noise from guest outside all night long. The person cooking at the continental breakfast was rude when told the orange juice was inop and putting out yellow water. He remarked "don't worry about it, I'll get to it when I can". I was extremely disappointed with the service at this hotel. Our room did not have any towels upon check in and when we called to the front desk the woman working the desk actually made us come down to get the towels instead of them bringing the towels to us. She was extremely rude on numerous occasions and not helpful at all. There is absolutely no […] way I would recommend this hotel to anyone! Lees meer

Hotel was nice, but lobby needed more A/C. Too warm for comfort.

This is not the absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed in, but definitely close. The hotel interior and exterior were very old looking. The part of town was questionable, but not terrible. I had asked the lady at hotels.com for a hotel close to 6th street and non-smoking room. The hotel was 15 minutes from 6th street and the room was smoking. The hotel was a little pricy for room received. Also staff was not the most friendly.

enjoyed my stay would do it again good people

This was like the third or fourth time we've stayed there, and we've never had a complaint. The rooms are clean and reasonably priced and the staff is very helpful. Plus, they allow pets!

We booked this hotel over Labor day weekend, one of the last rooms available "near" downtown. A cab ride downtown about $25 (including tip). The hotel staff was not very friendly. As for the hotel itself, it was older but seemed to be maintained pretty well. The room was decent, but the bathroom floor was dirty. We stayed at this hotel over the weekend. I loved it! We went to see the Longhorns play, wish we would have booked it for an extra day. Really nice! Breakfast on Sunday morning was good, we had a variety of items to choose from. We will stay there again.

Our stay here was one of the best we have ever had. The complementary breakfast cannot be equalled by any hotel we have stayed at this past year.

We did not enjoy our stay here at all. We were only passing through on our way to our final destination, so, we didn't have high expectations in the first place. Normally this would leave us pleasantly surprised. Not so this time. No non-smoking rooms available and the smoking rooms REEKED (but maybe that's normal for a smoking room, I wouldn't know). […] The service was awful. It's as if the employees were bothered by our presence. At breakfast, the cook yelled at us for putting tongs in the wrong place, then he took a break from cooking to sweep under our table while we were still eat, and growl at my kids for spilling cereal. THEN: We'd pulled a chair from another table so we could all sit together... My daughter got up to get more juice and while we were still sitting at the table this guy removed the chair and put it away. Lees meer

The room was nice. Nice and quiet. There was a sport bike rider event less than 1 mile and way from the hotel and even with their partying, and racing, I heard nothing from the room. I got the king room with the Jacuuzi and the low water pressure (save the planet) caused it to take a long time to fill, but in the morning the shower with its low flow […] showerhead, was great. As always, your beds and pillows are great! WHat brings me to Best Western is the consistent great looking Bathrooms and your fresh towels. the bathroom of this facility is in need of a renovation. Staff is nice and friendly. after coming from a long flight, it helps if you are greeted properly as you go in.
