Het Casa de la Condesa is in vele opzichten een prima hotel. Vooruitgeboekt heeft het een goede prijs/kwaliteit, de kamers (vooral de aan de voorzijde gelegen mastersuites met balkon) zijn ruim en comfortabel, het personeel is zeer aardig en behulpzaam en de locatie is aan het 'groene' plein - zeker 's ochtends - uitstekend met z'n terassen voor koffie en Mexicaans ontbijt. Er zijn echter ook wat minpunten en zaken te verbeteren. Wat betreft de fysieke toegankelijkheid voor mindervaliden (met rolstoel; iets waarop wij het hotel hadden geselecteerd) kan ik simpel zeggen: dikke onvoldoende! Entree van het hotel vanaf het trottoir bestaat uit 3 treden en een onbruikbare hellingbaan (te steil, te smal en geblokkeerd door plantenbak). De lift is te klein voor een normale rolstoel, dus beensteunen moeten er elke keer af. Het restaurant is niet bereikbaar in rolstoel want gangetje is te smal en er is een flinke opstap. De badkamer is niet toegankelijk met rolstoel (iets wat was voorzien) maar is tevens zeer krap. Het personeel maakt hierbij veel goed: ze waren ondersteunend bij het in en uit de rolstoel moeten en brachten het ontbijt op de kamer - zonder kosten. Het ontbijt was overigens zeer eenvoudig voor Mexicaanse begrippen (jus, toast/jam en vers fruit). Grootste ongenoegen zou kunnen zijn dat in de kamers aan de achterzijde (wij hadden daar eerst een kamer maar vanwege een voortdurend verstopt toillet zijn we verhuisd) de geluidsoverlast van de bar beneden behoorlijk is. Maar ja, het is wel Mexico-stad en Roma Norte is een uitgaanswijk. Slotconclusie is dat dit hotel in een stad als Mexico-stad een goede uitvalsbasis biedt met een redelijke tot goede waar voor je geld.

Ik had specifiek een tweepersoonsbed gereserveerd, maar bij aankomst bleek ik een kamer met twee eenpersoonsbedden te krijgen. Ik heb moeten praten als Brugman om te krijgen wat ik wilde. Geen goed begin. Toen het gelukt was alles OK.

Goede service, vriendelijke mensen aan de receptie, nette en goed ingerichte kamers. Min puntje : men hoort, toch al is het miniem, de opstijgende vliegtuigen.

Ligging.
Emporio Reforma bevindt zich in het centrum van Mexico-Stad, dicht bij Monument van Cristobal Colon, Museo Nacional de la Revolucion en Monumento a los Heroes de la Independencia. In de buurt liggen ook Torre Latinoamericana en Plaza de la Constitucion.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Emporio Reforma heeft een healthclub en een fitnesscentrum. Een draadloze internetverbinding is gratis beschikbaar in openbare ruimtes. Dit hotel met 3,5 sterren beschikt over zakelijke voorzieningen zoals een businesscentrum, vergaderruimtes voor kleine groepen en vergaderruimtes. Dit hotel biedt diverse eetgelegenheden, zoals 1 restaurants plus een koffiebar/café en een bar/lounge. Het personeel kan op verzoek een conciërgedienst, een huwelijksservice en een limousine- of autoservice regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een bibliotheek, meertalig personeel en een cadeaushop of kiosk. Parkeren op locatie is gratis.

Emporio Reforma heeft 145 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een minibar en een kluis. Bij betaling kan een snelle internetverbinding (via kabel) worden aangeboden. Elke kamer heeft een lcd-televisie met kabelzenders en een dvd-speler. Elke kamer beschikt over een bureau, ergonomische stoelen en een draadloze telefoon met voicemail. Elke badkamer is voorzien van een bad/douchecombinatie, een weegschaal, badjassen en make-up / scheerspiegels.
Elke kamer is voorzien van een koffiezetapparaat/waterkoker en gratis mineraalwater. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een gratis krant en een föhn. Bovendien kun je op verzoek gebruikmaken van voorzieningen zoals een strijkplank/strijkijzer en een telefonische wekdienst. Een turndownservice wordt elke avond aangeboden en een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag in rekening worden gebracht.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.

This is a fabulous hotel; great staff, very safe place, excellent location, and (if you are lucky enough to stay over on saturday) an excellent Sunday all-you-can-eat brunch, complete with live music! The 'standard' room was not massive, but still very comfortable and clean. I would use this hotel again, definitely. Highly recommended.

"The Suits and Lady Gaga"
This is the ideal business hotel. There is great wireless access everywhere, you can sit with your laptop in the cafe for hours, and the restaurant is good for meetings. I think I was the only female guest, so it was me and The Suits (this is THE hotel for Mexican businessmen), although apparently Lady Gaga had been there the week before. Don’t let […] this make your think the place is plush--an average room like mine was small, modest, and affordable (booked over the Internet). The room was clean, although the curtains, desk, and chair were a bit grimy. The windows opened for fresh air and the staff was very attentive. I’ll stay here again provided I get a good rate. "The Emporio Reforma"
was a comfortable hotel in the middle of the city and close all attractions. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The in house restaurant offered great meals at an affordable price and service was again friendly and very helpfull, also had staff who spoke english which helped out immensely. Room was small but comforable and clean and modern.

We were very pleased with the hotel itself. It was clean, the service was very good, and the location is outstanding. We were close to the museums, palacio nacional, and the neighborhood was safe. There are restaurants all around, and the restaurant and cafe in the hotel were good. When we go back to Mexico City - we plan to stay in the same hotel. "Located in a good area"
The rooms were very very small and they only had 1 full size bed in the room. The air conditioning did a poor job of cooling the room. Everything else was fine.

From the initial check in (which was very late at night) to the moment we left I was extremely pleased. I scored an amazing rate on the room, which was small, but clean, very comfortable and nicely appointed. The rooms all have flatscreens and dvd players in them, and a very unique paneling and lighting set up in the room. The small size really wasn't […] an issue, and the jacuzzi tubs made up for everything at the end of a day of exploring the city. Despite a very central location (maybe a 10 min walk from the Angel) I wasn't bothered at all by the noise. Although I was with a city native and language wasn't an issue, I didn't see a single staff member that didn't speak at least a little english, and everyone was extremely helpful. "tiny rooms"
stayed in a standard room and it was small, becomes tight with two people sharing space. they also have a petite room, can't imagine a room much smaller than the standard I had. Bathroom is great, bed was very very comfortable. restaurant is very limited, only two wines available. "Best Value business hotel"
I have stayed several times at this hotel and the rates are excellent, the rooms are modern, almost "design hotel" quality. Cheaper rooms are small but well done. Location is not the best, depending on where your meetings are. There are not a lot of high quality restaurants within walking distance, though walking in DF is not always recommended.

So quite rooms that you can not hear street traffic on reform. The location was great but encounterd a bit of traffice due to insurgentes crossing reforma because both streets are major streets. location was perfect and the hotel has class. old but done well.

I was really happy with making the choice to stay at this hotel. I stayed at a lot of hotels in my travels, and I think this is the best one for the price that I have stayed at. The condition of the hotel and room was great. The location is perfect. I would really recommend this hotel for your stay in Mexico City.

Though the staff was friendly and attending. The one thing we did not care for was being questioned every other day if I was a guest there ? or in what room number we were staying in. The front desk seemed to be forgetful as to who was staying there. Also, the breakfast buffet that was purchased with this package was not discounted at checkout-time, […] causing confusion when trying to settle your account in turn causing a fiasco when paying the final bill due. Hotel tres propres et tres calmes, chambres tres bien equipées avec ecran plan, station ipod, immense salle de bain. Le personnel est a l'écoute mais ne parle que espagnol et un tout petit peu anglais, mais sont tres serviables. L'hotel est en centre ville, non loin de la place des mariachis (que je vous conseille)
