Plesantly surprised. Room was big and very clean. Front desk was professional and welcoming. Breakfast was sufficient and breakfast attendant was extremely nice and helpful. Pool and fitness center were clean and full of light.

I frequently stay at this Country Inn. The staff is friendly, the rooms are comfortable, the pool big enough to actually swim in, and the breakfast is served on real plates - not styrofoam.

Although I had booked 2 rooms for 4 nights, I had one of the same rooms for 4 nights, and one changed from 2 queens to a King with pullout, argh! Then on the 3rd day housekeeping didnt clean one room because the do not disturb sign was on it at 10 in the morning. Sometimes the hot tub would get hot, sometimes just warm. On a positive note, until the […] weekend the hotel was quiet, and it's in an excellent location for nearby events in Des Moines, Clive, West DM. Although the hot breakfast was sometimes not the tastiest, the dining room staff was very accommodating. Overall I say a 3, would have been higher without the room and housekeeping mix ups. My family stayed here on the way to Minnesota and I'm glad we did. The location was great, right off the freeway and near lots of restaurants. The staff was very friendly and made sure we had all we needed. They even offered a free crib for our 1 year old. The pool area was very clean and had lots of towels available. This is a beautiful hotel, very nice, helpful people working there. The pool area is very inviting. Rooms are big, comfy furniture, wonderful beds, excellent wake up calls on time, breakfast buffet awesome-the waffles are a plus! Close to I35 and to shopping. Will definitely stay there again.

It was my first stay in a Country Inn. It exceeded my expectations. Super clean, friendly, good beds, good breakfast, good hot tub and convenient. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Very satisfied. Hotel, was clean, updated and the staff was very friendly. My only comment would be they should add scrammbled eggs to the breakfast. They only had hard boiled eggs which did not look very appetizing.

The hotel was very nice. Our room was very clean and a decent size for two adults and two small children. It is in an area with several other hotels and restaurants within walking distance.

This is probably one of the better options for around $100/night in the DSM area. Excellent, comfortable rooms with straightforward beds and furniture. Room located right by the stairs and side entrance was a little noisy but not even that bad. The cookies and coffee in the lobby are amazing! Very nice hotel. There was a children's party going on so the only complaint that I did have was due to the kids running up and down the hallway (but that's hardly the hotel's fault). a good experience overall, was there for Iowa AAU State Wrestling Tournament. Staff was kind and courteous. Did have a night of very inconsiderate patrons that were loud up and down our hallway well past 1am, and someone pulled the fire alarm around 2am- staff sent out letter of apology and refunded that nights' lodging. We checked in late and left early, so did not spend much time in the hotel. But the staff that we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Hallways were noisy late at night, probably due to people in town for high school wrestling tournament.

This was the 2nd time we stayed there and it is a great value. The rooms are nice, the lobby is inviting and the front desk people were very friendly. We have not had the breakfast yet because both of our stays were Saturday nights and we went to Granite City just up the street for their fantastic Sunday morning brunch buffet. We stay here before Christmas each year to meet with two of our daughters and families who live in Kansas and we live in the Minneapolis area. The staff is always helpful in getting us adjoining rooms, even when we've included more families and needed more rooms. They also let us schedule the breakfast room during the day or evening for special events […] we celebrate, such as near Christmas birthdays and early Christmas. The breakfast room is large and the breakfast is very good with a variety of choices. There is a very large indoor swimming pool. The rooms include a microwave, refrigerator and new TV. The rates are good for the money. West Des Moines has two large shopping malls that are close by as well as numerous restaurants in the area, including Cracker Barrel and El Rodeo next door. Staff was helpful, efficient, and very friendly. Hallways and room were clean and well maintained. The beds and especially the pillows were very comfortable. Location was close to restaurants, shopping, and easily accessed the Wells Fargo Arena. We will definitely stay here again.

Hotel was very nice and clean. I would stay there again, however the beds were very soft. The hotel was quite busy with many activities going on in the area. Breakfast was really tasty! Over all was an wonderful experience.

Normally we prefer to stay in the downtown area but this time we decided to do it differently and it was absolutely the right thing to do. We liked the price, it was with free internet access, free parking, complimentary breakfast. Overall a great experience.

I stayed in this hotel with my two school aged daughters. It was very clean and in a good proximity to the interstate, restaurants, and shopping. The girls loved the pool and hot tub. The staff was friendly and helpful.

This hotel is clean clean clean and the beds are comfy and with lots of pillows. I like the West Des Moines location as it is close to the interstate and University Ave, so you can get places easily. There is also a really good Mexican food right across the parking lot. Definitely my goto lodging when I am going to Des Moines.
