The service was good and the restaurant food was excellent. Our room had a beautiful view of Lake Coeur d'Alene from the 15th Floor. We also enjoyed the Spa, pools and gym.

Everything worked out great, except for one thing. Our room was next to the staff freight elevator, which was quite noisy. For the money we paid, I was disappointed in that. I wish hotels would provide that information in the booking, charge slightly less for the room, and allow people to make their own choice on that.

Love this hotel, very beautiful. They gave us a free upgrade and our room was very spacious. The lounges "Whispers" and "Beverlies" are top notch with excellent views. The pool is very large and there are two hot tubs. Dockside restaurant is tasty and has good service. 1. "Mountain view" consisted of barely visible distant hills. Roof and parking lot were dominant. 2. "Luxury bedding" consisted of a comfortable mattress and feather pillows. Beautiful setting, the hotel was immaculate, comfortable, and romantic. Very fairly priced as well. The one negative is that the reception told me both my credit cards were declined when there was nothing wrong with either one of them. I have to say this is the worst place I have ever stayed at. The first thing I should mention is that you are charged for EVERYTHING including parking and local calls, this was somewhat expected at a resort so I was somewhat ok with this at the beginning. I was more upset when the person who ran the parkade informed me it’s 20.00 per day to stay but […] if you get the valet parking it’s free. Yea…like that makes sense. For the record it’s 23.00 if you want someone to drive your car 20 feet. The big issues with my stay were the amount I paid and the poor quality of the room. first off the toilet didn’t function properly and every time we flushed we had to remove the back portion to fix it, I called the front desk and nobody bothered to show up. The next issue was the shower, there was an issue with the temperature as it kept changing and because the tub was so small I had to physically leave the shower to prevent being burned. The last big issue with the room was the temperature. It didn’t really matter what you did with the thermostat the room temperature remained the same. Lastly, The room I purchased was also completely different looking then the picture, the bed was a full instead of a queen. With the combination of the quality of the room and the amount I paid to stay and park I give this hotel 1 out of 5. I will never be returning and will make sure to let all of my friends know of my experience if anybody decides to take a trip to Coeur d’Alene. Lees meer

The only complaint we have is that the TV satellite service was down for 1 1/2 days (half of our stay time). This was on a weekend when we wanted to watch NFL football, so we were very disappointed. Other than that, our stay was great. And our golfing experience was awesome - We golfed twice while we were there.

Our room was "limited view". Our view was limited to a view of the elevator. Do not let them book you in to room 204! The room is just opposite the elevator and you have to keep the blinds closed at all times for any privacy. There was no other window and it was like being in a closet the whole time. It was the worst hotel room we have ever stayed in. […] We tried to change but they told they were all booked. We even offered to pay more. I do not believe that the hotel was totally booked. We were most disappointed with our stay there. If we had not prepaid for the reservation we probably would have left early. One day we had to ask them to make up our room 3 times when no one had touched the room by 4:00 PM. It is a lovely location that was spoiled by our stay at this hotel. Lees meer

The hotel itself is beautiful and the grounds are immaculate however, the service level provided by staff at check in was very poor. We were shocked when they couldn't answer basic questions about parking, re-booking, and room rates; the man on duty tried to laugh it off saying he usually worked nights. We expected much more considering how much we […] paid to stay there. We were also dissapointed in the service level at the Cedar's Restaurant which is affiliated with the resort and recommended by the concierge. That aside we did take advantage of the spa, which was amazing, the golf course, also amazing, and the lake side pool. The staff at each of these facilities were great and we were very happy with the experience. We stayed at the resort on the first night of our holiday before carrying on and again on the last night as we made our way home. We found our room for the last night on Expedia and were dissapointed by the disparity between levels of room. The partial lake front room that we stayed in on our first night was beautiful and very modern, however the room we stayed in on the last night was obviously one of the first areas opened at the hotel and was small, smelled musty, and the front door didn't close properly. Not worth what we paid. If you stay, make sure you ask what room you are staying in. Lees meer

The hotel in of itself was very nice. Great views from the dining rooms. I booked a room that was described as having a balcony, but it did not. It was the worst room I have ever stayed in. It was on the second floor and the outside wall/window was adjacent to the indoor pool. The room reeked of chlorine and the noise from the indoor pool echoed from […] 8am to 9pm. Because the hotel was sold out for the weekend, they were not able to move me to another room. My advice is to not stay on the second floor! Lees meer

We had a standard room with a King bed on the 6th floor. It faced east and only had shutters so you were up with the sun. Our room was very small ... about 11'x20' (half the size of our motor coach). You also paid for parking and it was not convenient. It took 45 min for our luggage to be brought to our room. Having to open the refrigerator with a key […] every time does not make you feel at home. Basically, you can get a lot more amenities and comfort for your money at another hotel unless you spring for a $400 room with a view of the lake. Lees meer

The hotel's new look was very nice and the room was very nice. We ate at the restaurant (not Whispers) and enjoyed the 18 ft salad bar. The view from the restaurant and the room was very nice. We walked around town which was very close to the hotel. There were two things that could be better: 1) the check in lady who was not very friendly nor was she […] willing to be helpful and 2) guests needed to take a "shuttle" to the outdoor pool located near the golf courses. This was our 45th anniversary, so I bought the suite and breakfast combo. When we arrived the valet service was charged $29.00 (it was suppose to be included) and the breakfast turned out to be a $20.00 credit. The room was clean but it overlooked a pool and roof that were under construsion, not at all what I expected. The Hotel is excellent. The Hotel's house keeping were exceptionally good. The room was clean and when I needed some special items they took care of me. The room was small, the furniture was well used and the room had an outside entrance. The room was only fair. The resort is a bit dated but is in the perfect location in the heart of downtown and right on the water,beautiful views from our room. They just opened a new pool resort which you get taken to by boat, you are on a private beach with infiniti pool and the service there was great. sippin pinacoladas by the pool, not a bad way to spend a day. When we checked in we were across the hall, but needed a room with 2 beds. We were upgraded to the room across the hall which gave us a king bed and a pull out queen sofa bed. The room was wonderful and overlooked the lake. We were able to open large sliding glass windows to let the fresh air in. The bed was very comfortable and the staff was extremely […] friendly. We were so happy with the room that we requested to stay an extra night, unfortunately, our room was not available and we'd have to be moved to a non-opening window to the outdoors on the first floor (which felt like a basement). Those lower-level rooms (with 2 beds), I could not move into - so we did not stay another night. I understand why some would feel that this hotel does not offer what it should for the price per night, but for room 550 - it was well worth every penny. We couldn't have been more pleased. We stayed at the resort for Ironman 2011. The staff was wonderful. They were very gracious to all the athletes. The room was comfortable and in excellent condition. We ordered room service twice and the hotel was kind enough to grant my special post-race meal request of macaroni and cheese (a non-standard menu item). The view of the lake is beautiful […] and my only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Our family plans to return to Coeur d'Alene in the future and will definetly stay at the resort! Lees meer

Overall I did like the resort but there are plenty of rooms just as nice for much less. If your looking to splurge its fun but otherwise I'll be stay at other places the next time I visit.

This was our wedding night and thanks to the Hotel staff it was a memorable stay. The room was clean, and more than I had expected. We are looking forward to staying here again.
