Hilton Rome Airport in Fiumicino

Het eten zeer slecht. Helaas in het hotel geen monitor met de vertrektijden van de vluchten. Mijn vliegtuig had 6 uur vertraging dus had liever nog in het hotel gebleven.

Zeer gunstige ligging op loopafstand van de terminals en met gratis pendelbus naar het centrum van de stad (ongeveer 30 minuten). Hotel met alle voorzieningen die te verwachten zijn van 4 sterren hotel. Hotel is echter wel extreem duur en heeft ook zeker wat nadelen: - De looptunnel naar het hotel is wat vies en er lagen zwervers in het trappenhuis […] van de tunnel te overnachten. - Check-in tijd was meer dan 30 minuten en medewerkers gaven niet de indruk dat het ze interesseerde. - Kamers ok, maar wat aan de oudere kant - evenals de badkamer. The Hilton at the Rome airport is accessible by foot, down several skybridge corridors but still better than having to take a shuttle. The hotel is nice and business-appropriate. We especially enjoyed the restaurant and my room service pasta was excellent. Wear is evident on the hallway carpets, and I was disappointed in the laminate flooring in the […] hotel rooms. But the hotel served my purpose well, in needing a comfortable place to rest overnight while I awaited a flight the next day. The hotel has good points: close to airport, free shuttle into Rome, close to train station. Bad points: 22E for internet access (on top of a huge bill to stay there). Great hotel, food in restaurant was very poor (al a carte) and should be improved, it was lacking taste, not well prepared.

Excellent! Hotel needs to get free WiFi. Prices are a bit high for an airport hotel. Need to build another hotel next door. As prices in Italy need to start coming down.

It was a typical Hilton room, with full size tub/shower. The only benefit of this hotel is its convenient access to the airport via a connected walkway. But, the price is still just too high to make it worthwhile. I spent 12 days traveling, mostly in Italy before I stayed here. This place was twice the cost of any other hotel but did not include free […] wi-fi (22 EUR surcharge) or breakfast (8 EUR for a 'to go' box for our early flight). Room service prices were steep too. I splurged because of a 6am departure flight. Next time I'd stay on in the affordable hotel option in the city and just take an early morning taxi. Lees meer

This Hilton was a huge disappointment. The only thing going for it was the proximity to the airport. The TV did not work and the price for WiFi was ridiculously high along with the price of food in the restaurants which was not even mediocre.

Of all the hotels I stayed at in Italy, this was by far the worst. The breakfast buffet was very expensive..when all of the other hotels included it for free. Also, internet service was expensive...the other hotels provided one half hour for free. The only positive aspect is the convenience to the airport.

Rome Airport Hilton. Great if you need to be at the Airport.

It's a typical airport hotel. Clean, expensive, with all that coldness from the staff you would expect from a place like this. It's not a place of choice, it's circumstantial, you'll stay there only if you have an early flight the next morning.

I stayed at this hotel because of rotating transit strikes in Rome in December 2011, not wanting to miss my early morning departure. The property has only proximity to the airport to recommend it. Staff are unhelpful; for ex, the concierge took about 30 hours to respond to an email requesting info about the central Rome shuttle bus pickup for guests, […] by which point I'd had to find other transportation. The bathtub area was full of mold. Noise from airport runways and nearby traffic could be clearly heard in a "quiet" room. TV screen in my room was tiny. Wireless internet access cost about 14 euros an hour on top of the hefty per night room charge. Lees meer

It was an amazing location for heading out from the FCO airport. It also has all the comforts of hotels from North America. Really nice place! Food was a bit expensive, so we ate in the airport.

We flew in from Naples at 8:15pm at night and had a flight at 9:45am the next morning back to the US. The hotel itself is quite modern and didn't feeling welcoming. Though the lobby/restaurant area was well maintained, the hallways to the rooms looked worn... and ours was dark red... floors, walls... The room was clean and well maintained. It is labelled […] as a 4-star, but I found it overpriced, pretentious and though modern contemporary, it lacked the clean lines and taste of most modern design. The 4-star I stayed at in Sorrento blew this hotel away. Getting to the hotel... we decided to stay here since we wouldn't need to get a cab or shuttle. There is an above ground tunnel system, accessed by taking the elevator to the 2nd level and following the signs. You have to walk quite a ways, but were helped along with moving sidewalks that brought you to parking lots and finally to the hotel. This would have been fine, except it smelled of urine and there was a homeless couple sleeping there. Also, I was not notified they were going to place a pre-auth on my credit card on file. I have sent an email to verify that no incidentals were placed on my room, but I have yet to receive a response. Lees meer

The hotel's proximity to the airport makes it extremely convenient. This is especially so as it provides a free shuttle service into Rome throughout the day. It is surprisingly quiet - never heard airplanes or the ongoing traffic much less other hotel guests. The only down side is the expensiveness of the menu selections - but given that it is a Hilton […] that is not really surprising. Convenience wins out for us. Lees meer

Corporate hotel with all the amenities but no charm. Perfect place to stay for early flight but you could be anywhere in the world. Nothing would give you a hint that you are in Italy. Extremely convenient for the airport.

Of all the hotels I've stayed in whether in the U.S. or abroad (excluding student type hostels in younger years) this was the most expensive and the worst. One floor lamp didn't work, the king bed had only a heavy comforter with no other choices and no spare blankets, the coffee maker had no socket -- just a round hole -- on the stand though we did […] find one that fit the plug on the floor near the bathroom. The aesthetics were Motel 6 and the food, though not too pricey, was distinctly mediocre. We stayed here for an earlyish flight -- but doing it again I would stay elsewhere and shuttle or taxi in the morning. Lees meer

Stayed at Hotel after reading other reviews about convenient location to airport as it was just a one night stay. The ability to walk to airport from Hotel was outstanding as early flight and did not want to leave anything to chance. The Room was large and clean. Two suggestions: Get a luggage cart from airport the night before and put in room so you […] can just walk out with luggage the next day to airport..also book the room with breakfast included or you will pay the outrageous $25 euro per person buffet! We stayed 1 night at the hilton before we were due to depart italy. We had early flights so the convenience of the hotel is very suitable. The staff were excellent throughout the hotel. The cleaners, waiters, porters and the reception staff. It was a pleasant stay. The restaurant was very good, expensive but the quality was actually good. The rooms […] were clean and comfortable. The location for the airport is perfect. We booked a room for 2 adults and 1 infant. On arrival the staff very quickly built a travel crib for us in the room. This was very good. The only downside were the cost, it is a shame hotels can not be cheaper. But for the convenience factor it was worth it. Also the corridors were not as clean as I would expect. But with hundreds of guests it is hard to keep carpets clean. I will absolutely stay here again when I am next flying from Rome. Lees meer

The hotel is fine for an airport location. We found the hallway carpets to be pretty bad with stuff all over them. The restaurant was okay. The burger was fine but the caesar salad was tasteless. Convenient location but otherwise nothing too exciting.

The only reason to stay here is the proximity to the airport. Otherwise it is a mediocre Hilton at an exorbitant price.

Hotel was extremely comfortable. It is well situated for early air flights, but a good distance from downtown Rome and other areas of interest. However, it has an excellent free shuttle that leaves the hotel on the even hours, and leaves downtown on the odd hours - wonderful service.

Typical Hilton. They are consistently do a good job for us. The only complaint is the signs to get there from the terminal were very hard to find. Walked around for an hour after a 9 hr flight. Head for the car rental and then follow signs from there.

The convience was the prime reason for my reservation. I was pleasantly surprised by the service, comfort and decor of the hotel. I was also very surprised at the low quality of the food in the restaurant. High price, few choices, poor presentation and taste is the norm for many hotel restaurants, but I expected better from Hilton.

Staff is very friendly, professional and helpful. Room is clean above average, comfortable beds, reasonably new carpet and fittings. Breakfast is all you can eat with huge variety of choices, top class I have not seen better in Italy. Conveniently located for catching early flights. Convenient location. Hilton Garden Inn is actually nicer, newer and cheaper a few minutes farther away. Expensive internet rates.

I called receptionfor the the robes that were supposed to be in the room and they were to be sent up immediately. I waited 10 minutes before giving up and deciding to shower, but they never even arrived.

After a long flt to Rome, it was great to be able to roll our luggage to the hotel (follow the Hilton icon signs) and avoid the hassle of finding a cab or shuttle from the airport. In addition, we were able to take the hotel's shuttle into the city of Rome for some evening sightseeing and dinner.
