Hotel location was great for our needs and staff were very helpful. Certainly not the flashest of hotels but clean and comfortable.

Fantastic location for CBD. No frills but everything you need.

Good economy class hotel in excellent location. Clean and well maintained but with some signs of age. In RSL building and guests are able to use RSL bar and cafe. Location was very convenient, one train station just at the corner takes you anywhere. Only problem was that being right downtown means that most stores, business close up early. With early planning and a grocery store just down the street, you can get take out or 'cook' in your room with the microwave and hot water.

Could not have had a better location for C.B.D. for the price offered. Able to walk back from Opera on the Harbour very easily. Next door to Martin Place. Hotel clean but basic. Beds very comfortable - what more can you ask for the price?

+ Good location for sight seeing, the major sights are walkable. Big plus. - Too bad it didn't include breakfast and wifi.

I found the location very handy, to trains (Martin Place), walking into town etc. Although there wasn't much choice for meals afte hours, I did find the resturant at the travelodge to be top shelf, at a buget price, I ate there almost every night. It's ok if you need somewhere to stay on a budget. The location is good, very close to Hyde Park and the train station. While, the facility definitely needs an upgrade. The staff are warm and friendly, receptionist Nikkie was fabulous - very informative and was always willing to help.

The hotel is great for anyone looking to be in a great location to all the major tourist spots in Sydney CBD. Opera House and Darling Harbor are only 15min walk. The hotel itself is a 2-3 stars max. However, it is clean.

Very convenient for short stay to see Opera House, Harbour Bridge & Circular Quay. Very reasonably priced for the close location but old and don't expect luxury. Room and hallways were clean & secure. Fulfilled our needs perfectly for quick 2 night visit to Sydney and Opera House.

This hotel is in an ideal location for Sydney tourist attractions (the Opera House & Bridge & the Rocks, Harbour, etc). We landed in Sydney airport, transferred to the train line ($15AD and got off at St James station for this hotel. It is a short walk from the train line (10mins) even with heavy baggage!! The rates were good. The area was great for me near the state theater and also train station. Delighted to find it was part of club complex. So we were able to enjoy late night drinks. Overall we were very pleased with the staff and the whole ambience.

A nice and tidy hotel in a very central place in Sydney. Only 2 minutes walk from St. James station (Airport train stop), and 5-10 minutes from both Circular Quay and Darling Harbour. Located in a business district away from main traffic streets, so it was a relatively quiet stay. Overall the hotel provided good value for money and is close to public transport. When I asked for a quiet room this was provided. However, I was unable to access the gym. I tried on three occasions then I explained the situation at the desk who suggested it must not be open yet but did not advise what the opening hours were. A stones' throw from St James Station and the airport train, the Travelodge gets top marks for convenience, location and security. A comfortable, well appointed room made for a good night's sleep - I would stay here again for sure.

I only stayed for one night but was really impressed with the quality of the room. Flat screen TV and small kitchenette with sink, fridge, microwave, kettle, plates dishes cups and cutlery and tea, milk & coffee. Room and small bathroom where very clean and room had a desk with 2 chairs which was handy for working on laptop etc. No shower gel provided […] - just shampoo and conditioner in bathroom. The Travel lodge hotel was clean, tidy, great location in the city and close to a lot of attractions. The only minus was that our bed was hard.

Our 2 night stay was very enjoyable. We chose the Travelodge because of it's excellent tariff, location to theatre, shopping and major tourist sites - all within walking distance!

Close to everything - parks, museums, trains, ferries. Glad we found the hotel. Will stay there again on next trip to Sydney. Best value for money from search of hotels. I live out of Sydney now but know the areas well.

We had one night in Sydney to see "Jersey Boys" and the Chinese Warriors exhibition at the Art Gallery. Shopping was a priority too. Thrilled with the location of the hotel. 5 mins walk to everything. The theatre, the art gallery & Pitt St Mall shops. Even a pleasant walk down to Circular Quay.. St James train station to and from the airport.was also […] a 5 min walk. Being two females we felt completely safe walking back at night after the show. Heaps of reasonably priced eateries nearby for lunch and dinner and breakfast at the hotel bistro was all you could want. The room wasn't flash and the view was a brick wall, but the beds were comfortable, it was clean, great shower, so for one or two nights it fitted the bill perfectly and we got two single beds as requested. The football club on the ground floor is accessible to guests if you want to use the bar or have a flutter on the poker machines, and has a very handy bottle shop attached to buy wine for pre and post theatre drinks in the room. No probs providing us with the wine glasses. So it was a perfect choice for our visit. No complaints at all except the TV reception wasn't the best, but watchable. But we weren't there to watch TV.. Had a great weekend and found the hotel fitted the bill perfectly for our purpose. Lees meer

My stay at the Travel Lodge regarding location was much better than what it appeared on Google maps when i was considering the Travel Lodge. Every morning I had to walk from the travel lodge to the Masonic center which is on Golbun st. Google is spot on when they tell you how long it will take to walk there, which was 15mins, but the walk it self, […] felt like it was only 5 mins and was a breeze, I was so comfortable with walk I started taking different routs to get to the masonic center without getting lost! I was really happy with this hotel (note: there are at least 3 Travelodges in Sydney, this is the one on Phillip St.) And I found it to be an excellent value. The breakfast place was a bit strange and expensive, but there are lots of coffee shop alternatives in the area.

Fine hotel in a central location. Service is limited, do not expect to get a converter if you are from Europe, you'll have to buy one yourself. Another word of advice: the internet is offered per 24 hrs. Do keep in mind that this is not intended as "per day", so you can use those 24 hrs in the course of a week.

The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the train station. the Opera House, Botanical Gardens, Circular Quay are all a short walk away. There is a supernarket 2 blocks away. All in all it's a great location. The room was modern and clean. Would stay here again.

Hotel location and price was great. We stayed 9 nights and the beds were a little soft and only a matress on a board. This made it a little uncomfortable for long stays. Service at the front desk was great. If your interested in Darling Harbour, Circular Quay or Paddy Market they are all within walking distance or a $7.00 cab ride.

This hotel is in a great location. The train station is half a block from the from door. Take the Macquarie Street exit from the station and turn left at the top of the stairs and there is Phillip St. The bus stops are on Elizabeth St and Castlereagh St. Circular Quay is a short easy walk. My only complaints are that we got 1 washcloth every day for […] a room with 2 people and no hand towels. This would not stop me from staying here again. The area felt very safe. This hotel was great. It's right in the city and very convenient; I could easily walk to all the important sights like the Royal Botanic Garden, Circular Quay and The Rocks, as well as places to eat and shop. The room was excellent for the price, especially with the large, open bathroom, and it was nice having a microwave in the room.

Bien situé à proximité (10 min) de Circular quay et tout proche de Pitt Street (artère commerçante). Nous étions trois (1 enfant) et le lit convertible n'était pas confortable. Ett prisvärt hotell med bra läge. Promenadavstånd till många sevärdheter och shopping.

Hotellet ligger centralt i forhold til centrum, havn, seværdigheder. Værelserne er udstyret med køleskab, mikrobølgeovn, elkogekande samt lidt porcelæn. Der er sofa samt spisebord på værelset. Hotellets restaurant er lidt cafeteriaagtig.

Et godt hotel med en fantastisk central og nem beliggenhed. Både bus og tog indenfor få min. gåafstand. Pænt stort værelse og rigtig pæn rengøring. Vi nød at kunne lave lidt morgenmad i det lille thekøkken med køleskab.

Clean and big room with very practical small kitchen corner. The breakfast is not joyfull, but it was not included in the price and there are plenty palces to have good breakfast right outside.
