Have stayed at other Vagabond & felt like bugs crawling all over me, but my ftiend said to give this place a try. I was pleasantly surprised how clean & comfortable it was.

I stayed four days at the hotel and the service was poor. While booking, I've seen that breakfast is included but actually there was none. The power outlet for charging my cell phone should have been next to the bed but it was not even close. You need to re-activate your key everyday. Generally, it is not a good place to stay on.

I was traveling from the east coast on SW Airlines heading to West Sonoma and needed to layover in Santa Rosa. Other hotels were $100+. This was $52 plus tax. They required a $50 incidental charge bit I'msure I'll get that back. Good restaurant 100 feet from motel front door.

Exactly what we needed! it was a very affordable option and the room was clean. Some patrons smoked on the first floor which was a bit bothersome but we couldn't smell it in our room. unfortunately the pool was closed. i would recommend this hotel to a friend

Being a 2-star hotel, there is nothing fancy about this place. That said, my room was clean and the price was low, so the experience was just fine.

My stay is extraordinarily great! I am a temporary live in situation, and when it was my birthday, and a little low on cash, they honored a hotel deal from the day before!! Awesome. I have felt a little piece of home here!

Despite the many harsh reviews I saw on Yelp, this hotel was very comfortable, clean, and enjoyable. Our room was huge, looked out on the pool, right next to the back stairs (convienient to our car), bathroom also large and looked like it was just all remodeled, location in Santa Rosa is very convenient, and in most ways exceeded our expectations. Only […] thing is, the pool was closed for unexplained reason. Also, breakfast was minimal, but I didn't expect much for under forty bucks a night! This was an inexpensive hotel that I thought for one night it would be OK. Hotel is externally clean with very helpful and pleasant staff. The room was not big, but was adequate. The problem we had was the sewage smell in the room. There wasn't any place leaking or smell in the bathroom. I think at one point there was an issue and the carpet got wet. […] We slept with the window open to keep the smell down. This is my 3rd stay here and I still give them a 4 rating for a top end 2 star hotel. It has not changed much. It does have new owners as of this week. They authorize a $50 deposit for incidentals. This stay was actually quit loud around 10:30 pm, people were in and out of there rooms for an hour straight.

Wi-fi sucked. The pool was a murky green colour. The hallways were in desperate need of a vacuuming - or better yet re-carpeting. Road noise from the freeway was really loud and I am generally a sound sleeper. Basically, this place was just unpleasant.

Worse stay I have ever experienced at a motel. I had asked for a quiet room and the room was extremely noisey. We were woke up several times during the night Carpet had a huge hump that ran the length of the room ,causing us to trip repeatedly. Continental breakfast consisted of english muffins and coffee. this was 2nd time in about 3 weeks we stayed here. Liked the 1st room better because had a refrig and microwave and coffee pot, but not in 2nd room's stay. Breakfast had a few more things to eat. the Shower had some mold on the floor (anyway looked black like mold). Staff very pleasant. The only problem was that there's no wifi on the Third floor..Otherwise everything else was wonderful for a short stay.

room was very clean, had a refrigerator. comfortable. good places to eat nearby and a mall where I could get organic foods very close. only one thing was the breakfast, was only cereal and milk or a bagel. otherwise will stay again.

I have stayed here several times for several reasons. The first being it proximisty to the freeway, close to eating establishments (coddingtown mall) and to those in downtown Santa Rosa. BTW eat at Sam's located out front for breakfast. The staff is very helpful but it does not makeup for several things. The first being the noise from the freeway or […] noisy neighbors. The lack of channels available on the t.v., when they are not having problems. Okay so this sounds like an awful review but giving the price, this is a good place to spend the night and freshen up. I stayed for a family event. The room was clean, the bathroom also clean. I had no complaints. The best thing for me was the excellent diner in front of the hotel so we didn't have to drive around to find somewhere to eat.

Everthing about this Hotel was great considering the price compared to other hotels in the area. We will definitely stay here next trip to visit our family. We would recommend this hotel to everyone!!

Night gal at check-in could have been friendlier. I marked the hotel down because of the carpet in the hallway. Room was fine. For those of us booking while we're on the road without computers, gps, etc PLEASE provide help in finding our hotels!!!

Will never stay at this hotel again... no towels in the room at all when we arrived, the shower did not work properly and there were only two very small pillows on the bed.

Debris from outside which includes leaves and trash was littered in the hallways and in my room!! Carpeting for the entire Hotel needs to be changed --- it's old , dirty and filthy.

first off we had asked since check in if we could stay in the room for a little time extra and the check in person said yes. Usually check out is at 11am but they said we could leave at 12:30pm and they said they had made a not of it at 11am we had the office call us almost every 20-30 min. My family and i were getting ready for a cousin of mines wedding […] so that doesn't help me get my daughter ready. I just found it very annoying that if they had agreed with us to check out at 12:30pm and they call every 20-30 min since 11am. The rooms carpet had lots of old stains, we found a couple of hairs (people not pet) in the beds, and they layout was just slightly odd. The tv channel selection was horrible! we only had 4 channels and only 1was in spanish. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone i know. Lees meer

It was my second stay here and I would have to say it was not the same. I was on the first floor this time and it was very loud. there was a couple across the hall that was moving a TV into their room and then they moved it back out. It was a very active night.

the staff Genie I believe that is her name has the worst customer service ever...1st she put us in a hotel that is not ready to use...she needed to see the room herself to see if we are telling the truth..2nd room...doesnt have towel nor shampoo...so , i told her when we left the room to put some towel and shampoo...got to the hotel...still no towel […] and shampoo.....then, we found out no remote control...the pillows are so bad...breakfast came...no food...I mean there is some food but it doesnt seem that they want to feed the people...the two juices are the worst...its only 930 am..and she told me that they are closing the breakfast any minute now...so, i told her that we still have 30 mins to eat before u close..so, they put some little muffin and that is the only time that theyre making another pot of coffee...worst hotel/motel ever...i should tell expedia about this experence... I definitely wish I would have paid a little extra for something better. There was hair on the bed sheets and blankets, the hallway for the non-smoking room reeked like smoke and the pillows on the bed were half the size of standard, normal pillows. I would have been more okay with it if the lady had apologized because I understand that people make mistakes, but she thought it was funny and laughed when we told her about it. Its not called the Vagabond Inn for nothing. I tried to check in at 9:00 at night. ( not a peak hour, and was a little nervous about checking in because the three people ahead of me looked like they lived on the street) , by the time the gal at the desk dealt with the problems of the people ahead of me, and answered three phone calls, she got me checked […] in around 9:35. Then when I got to my room there was no washcloth or hand towels. When I called the desk, the gal said she would bring me some. At 10:15 I went down myself to get them, she told me they had not gotten their shipment of towels, the room "looked"clean enough, but I didn't want to touch anything. The alarm clock was blinking as though the power had been off, so I set it and went to bed. Mattress very uncomfortable. At 5:45 am the power went out. The whole hotel was dark. Didn't come back on until after 6. Would've found another hotel if there was one available. A lot of noise in hallways from people partying late. Lees meer

It was above my expectations based on the location +price +busy time of the year. Room was large enough, clean, quiet. Windows were on the side of hotel entrance. Lady at the reception desk was very pleasant. Room was ready at noon and she checked us in. Breakfast iwas very simple but we didn't expect anything fancy.

I think that the staff needs to learn English, especially in the hotel business. The door would not unlock several times and we had to get new keys 2 times. The room looked like a brawl took place in there at one time, replace the lamp shade. It was not any better than a one star room anywhere else.

The hotel is very close to the freeway, so you hear freeway noise unless you turn on the air conditioner. When we checked in the room did not have all the towels or coffee pot.

We called ahead of time to see if our room would be available before the 3pm stated check in time. We wanted to quickly change into our party clothes for our friends wedding. We arrived at the hotel at 2:50 and the room wasn't ready. Slightly disappointed but no biggie- we changed in the breakfast room bathroom and were on our way. After the wedding […] we finally checked into our room at 3am. The guy who checked us in was less than friendly. Also there were 2 sketchy guys urinating outside the lobby doors when we walked in. Our room had 2 double beds, not the one queen bed I booked. Also, there were no cups (plastic or otherwise) in the room. I guess housekeeping forgot. Overall, the motel served its purpose, but I won't be back. Lesson learned-I should have booked a different hotel earlier since Oct in wine country is busy season! Lees meer
