Microtel Seaside in Seaside

Nette & moderne kamers op wandelafstand van Seaside centrum (al valt er in Cannon Beach veel meer te beleven). Ontbijt kon evenwel niet snel genoeg opgeruimd worden - reeds 10 minuten voor sluiten begon men eraan. Toch wat jammer.

Could hear our neighbors making noise for a bit. Weather was cool and rainy so we turned on the heater, but it was so loud we had to turn it off. Otherwise, guest receptionist was friendly, room was clean and quite comfortable, and Seaside is so small that hotel wasn't far to restaurants, etc. in town.

The location was very convenient for us and the staff was terrific. The only drawback was that the room was very small - but maybe that's why they call it "Microtel."

The hotel was nice and clean and customer service was awesome. The only thing I can complain is the bed which was a little warped in the middle. The pricing was fantatic...the price for the room dropped when we arrived. For the hotel in a tourist town this was well worth the money.

We found food in the fridge that had been left by the last guest which obviously put into question the overall cleanliness of the room. We will pick another property the next time we stay in Seaside.

If you're looking for a cheaper hotel that is close to all this is the one. Everyone was very nice and helpful.

Nice rooms, great price and a short drive to downtown.

Clean rooms, courteous staff. Nice location right on Hwy 101. Quick jaunt to downtown, <5 minutes in the car.

Surprisingly comfortable beds and wonderful breakfast buffet at an amazing price. Room layout is odd and it could do with fluorescent lights that are warmer in color but those are minor gripes. We booked 2 adjoining rooms and were pleasantly surprised since all we were expecting was a place to crash for the night. Bigfoot's Steakhouse is next door. […] Didn't try it but it looked promising. Nice place, especially for the price. The rooms have fluorescent lighting that makes it feel less cozy and I think the mirror walls behind the bed are a little odd for a hotel, but these are little complaints, really. Nothing big to mention.

was by far the best deal for the money at the time. We stayed in the off season and were very pleased witht the value we received. Also, if you stay here you get free passes to the Seaside community indoor pools. They had a 'warm pool' which my wife was able to swim in with our 9 MO baby and a big one that our 11 YO loved with water slide and swinging […] rope. Hot tub for the adults. Lees meer

One of the staff at the front desk was kind of abrupt. when we checked in. The rest of them were fine and quite helpful. Misunderstanding about the do not disturb sign. I closed the room and thought I would flip the sign to " make up the room" but then noticed that both sides said "do not disturb". So I put the door hanger on the floor. Came back to […] a room that was not cleaned. Front desk told me that it was because they didn't know which way I wanted it and the maid service was gone for the day. Small, small room. Lees meer

This tiny one queen bed room suited us fine for a one night stay in this oceanside tourist town. Though nowhere near the beach it was on the main drive through town and easy to find. The staff was friendly and the simple breakfast choices were satisfactory. The only complaint is a minor one..the room could have used a new TV. I would stay there again […] if I passing through but am not sure it is a place to put up a family on vacation. The name Microtel is the proper description for these accommadations. Lees meer

The sheets were too crunchy, and the bed put my arms to sleep.

Enjoyed our stay. The room was small but didn't mind because we didn't spend much time in it anyway. Too much to see and do in Seaside, and were visiting family in the area. Nice breakfast too!

The room was small compared to other hotels in America but it was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. For a great pizza Angelina's just down the road is great. There is also a good steakhouse next door to the hotel.

We read other reviews of this hotel warning that the rooms were small, so we were expecting to be a bit cramped. But, to our surprise, the room was very comfortable and the use of the space was well thought out. There was adequate storage and an unexpected raised-up window seat ended up being a cool space that the kids loved! Great night's sleep in […] a very comfortable bed. Only complaints were that there was no coffeemaker in the room and the tv was kind of outdated. Other than that, it was a great stay and great value! Lees meer

The previous two nights we had stayed at a hotel in Lincoln City that far outshone this hotel with a room three times the size, a view, a balcony and a fireplace. This room was so small, you had to go into the hall to change your mind. There was no fridge or mircrowave and the traffic noise was unbearable as it is right on the main highway. The one […] positive thing I can say is that it is the only place in a week of traveling and hotel rooms that had a grab bar next to the tub...a very definite plus. Staff was pretty awesome, even housekeeping asked us if there was anything we needed as we would pass them in the hallway. I really liked the friendliness there and our room was very nice and clean.

This is a solid 3-star motel/hotel located just minutes from downtown Seaside and close to both Astoria (20-25 min) to the north and Cannon Beach (13 min to the south). Platform around the TV had not been dusted in years, but housekeeping took care of it quickly. Rooms were for the most part clean and tidy and linens were changed daily. Continental […] Breakfast was above average and there was plenty of seating space in front of the lobby area for eating. PRICE WAS GOOD FOR A HOLIDAY WEEKEND.COMFORTABLE BEDS AND CLOSE TO DOWNTOWN sEASIDE AND THE BEACH.BREAKFAST WAS ADEQUATE BUT CROWDED FOR A FULL HOUSE.

if you are by yourself or with one friend for a vaca, this is perfect place...if you are on a fam vaca and need space this is not the place for you. very small room as far as space...didnt like it. staff not friendly

This was a nice hotel for the money, especially for the area where most of the hotel are high priced. I would stay there again, however, my son was disappointed that there was no pool. The rooms were clean, beds were nice, and everything was in fairly new condition. They even worked it out so I could check-in a little early.

The hotel was clean, well appointed, well located, with a very fair price. The breakfast was below average, with only the basics, and was not regularly cleaned or toped up. Very little place to eat. for seaside good price.

This hotel was wonderful for 2 student travelers. we were close to the beach but also far enough away to not be in the crowed city center. The hotel staff was very nice AND the have free breakfast and WIFI!

After putting up with noisy neighbors for nearly three days through paper thin walls and a housekeeping service that did not meet its job desciption, I spoke with the front desk about my concerns. I was told that they would contact the guests in the adjoinijng room and ask them to quiet down and follow up with housekeeping. I also asked to speak with […] the manager and get the District Manager's e-mail address, neither of these occured. I was told that the manger would not return until after our departure and if we wanted, we could e-mail him. The front desk attendant went on to state that the room was not clean was due to the fact that the "DND" sign was on the door (This was removed when we left the room for the day)and housekeeping had left a note asking if we wanted our room cleaned. Here is the problem with that last statement from the front dest attendant. Housekeeping had came into our room, changed our towels and bed linens, but neglected to vacuum the carpeting. Sound to me that this was a "Canned" response to all housekeeping complaints or the manager had ask the attendant to reply this way hoping to sweep it all under the rug. May I also suggest adding a part time front desk attendant during the continental breakfast period and during peak check-in times in the evening. Security cameras are fine, but having a staff member walking the halls periodically would have caught the noise issue before myself or any guest would have to lodge a complaint with the front desk. I understand cost cutting of labor cost all to well, but you are in the "Hospitality" industry and should staff accordingly. Lees meer

Room was small but clean and modern. Breakfast was quite generous. We would stay here again.

The hotel was great overall for a vacation stop, but walls seemed paper thin with a crying baby in the next room.

All hotels should remove carpet & replace with tile as the carpet can be very dirty with creatures of all kinds in it. Also, the comforters should be replaced with a light cover, so they will be washed after each stay. The pool was dirty. The hot tub was also dirty & had hair floating in it. We were told the breakfast was modist but the second day there […] was only 2 apple juice available, the hot cereal was limited. Very slim pickings. This was a very nice hotel for a reasonable price. The only thing lacking was the customer service. The young man on the evening shift (forgot his name) was really friendly and helpful. The ladies on the other hand could use some customer service training...not very friendly.

The hotel was good for the price. The room was quite a bit smaller than expected, but the overall experience was good. The breakfast was great and the access to the local rec center for swimming was a great bonus!

Hotel location is very convenient,right off major hi-way, with lots of shops in immediate area. Hotel is good value for short stay,considering comfort and good beds. We had a nice time at Microtel. Asked about places to eat and how to find the easiest access to the beach and everyone was nice and gave us great advice. We loved that we could go to the community center for our workout and they provided a nice breakfast in the lobby. Pretty new place. I appreciated the fact that it was on the way into town and not in the middle where we would have to deal with alot of noise, however they didnt have a pool and the beds were too firm. The continental breakfast was very good.
