Wingate by Wyndham - Greensboro in Greensboro

The hotel was immaculate. The room was clean, and the service absolutely outstanding. I will definitely recommend this chain.

Located near a strip mal type shopping ceneter near several other hotels. Good hotel for a short stay...clean, friendly staff.

Upon arriving at our room I discovered one of the drawers was broken off the dresser. I went to the front desk and their concern was whether we had unmade the bed as if the room was still bookable with broken furniture. There was some business that they could not activate a new key while we still held the old one.Fortunately my wife could prop the door […] open while I came up to move to a different room. There was no attempt to help us move. Tired and frustrated I laid down to take a nap. When I woke up I felt some insect bites. I tried not to let my imagination get away with me. When I arrived home the next day I had a serious rash and bite marks. An email to the property elicited no response. Wyndham corporate gave me the address and phone of the franchisee who does not provide an email address. This seems odd from a chain that touts it e-savvy. I don't know what bit me, but I do know the unresponsiveness of this this franchisee would put me off this property and make me wary of the "brand" name in lodging in general since so much is up to owners discretion. We were in town for the NCAA tournament. This hotel is just off I40 and is minutes from the Coliseum. It is an area with other hotels and there are lots of eating options close by. Shopping is also close by. Hotel and rooms were clean. Hotel staff was helpful and friendly. After I checked out and arrived at the Airport I realized that I had left my phone charger in the room. I called the Hotel and spoke to Denise. After telling her what had happened she offered to bring me the charger at the Airport!!!! Not mail it, not we couldn't find it but she would personally go out of her way to bring the charger to me. WAY TO GO […] DENISE!!!! I will be using this example of outstanding guest service to all of my employees. What she did was selfish and the act meant so much more to me than the actual charger. Great hotel! I had to check out SUPER EARLY in the morning and the breakfast bar was already set which really made a huge difference to me! Great service, clean and easy to access!

The hotel room I stayed in featured a king size bed, desk, couch, coffee table and the most helpful lit-mirrored nook over the refridgerator. That space and the layout of the room made it really comfortable for me and my companion.

Hotel was very convient and close to I-40. Great restaurants and mallls close by. Great room for the money. Front desk staff is very friendly.

Nice hotel. Good location. Great complimentary breakfast. Very friendly staff.

This Hotel was very clean and accomodating. Above average continental breakfast that included eggs, breakfast meat, and make your own waffles. We were extremely satisfied with our stay.

Couldn't believe that we got such a great rate for this hotel. Great quality, good hot breakfast, and convenient to everything! We will definitely stay there again!

The hotel was conveniently located in a good location right off the higway and around a bunch of other hotels. The king suite was nice and clean, and the service was good. Would recommend to anyone looking for a room in the area.

Wingate was a lifesaver to me and my family. We are relocating to Greensboro and we tried staying at StudioPlus. It was a nightmare! So we packed our things, went online to hotels.com and booked a room at the Wingate. When we walked in the lobby it was decorated well and the AIR even smelled clean! It was late and I arrived tired and hungry...the person made the check-in as painless and pleasant as I've ever had (even at some of the best hotels on the country). When I asked about food he offered me a bag of snacks and some fruit - very nice touch! The room had lot of plugs (for all my gear) - a nice change from most hotels in this price range. I have stayed at this hotel many times before on trips to Greensboro but this time it was a veryt different exp. The hotel was not in the clean state it normally is in. The hot tub was out of service. The matresses we had for the 2 queen beds were in terrible shape! The worse part was on Sat night when we returned to the hotel we found the maid cleaned […] the room but didnt leave any towels at all. We will not be going back to this hotal again after this exp! I took my family of ten to this hotel and I was so pleased from the good food to the clean, quiet.rooms.

The room was clean and the bed was soooo comfortable! The breakfast was bacon and eggs plus so much more. The staff was very friendly and the location was close to everything. It is a little hard to find because it is behind some business but well worth it.

The shower was handicapped accessible (very good thinking.) However, when I showered the floor flooded ... the drain couldn't keep up, I guess.

My daughter and I stayed overnight while on a college visit. Very clean, upscale, and great front desk service. Breakfast was deluxe continental and served our purpose. Beds were comfortable, rooms and hallways were roomy. It was close to the highway and lots of restaurants and stores. You have to look for it though behind the shopping center and other […] hotels. Visited on a furniture shopping trip. Hotel is in well lit commercial area, amongst many different businesses, Hotel was quiet,clean,well maintained, breakfast with juice meat and eggs,coffee always available. walked to dinner.Friendly associates.

Let's start with the bathroom which was bigger than I have ever had at a hotel. The bathroom had abundant lotions and shampoo. The refrigerator was plenty big alone with a coffee maker area that itself was quite large. Most hotels have uncomfortable beds, this was not. I got plenty of good restful sleep in this bed which helped with what I had to accomplish […] in Greensboro. The only problem I had was with the safe which made a high pitched sound. Called the front desk which came up promptly looked at it and decided it needed a professional. Ten minutes later a technician they had on call came up with a new safe door which he replaced in less than five minutes. The ac/heat unit worked quite well. The free breakfast they offer is bigger and has more selections of food and drink than I have seen elsewhere. Did I mention the free washing machine and dryer, and the choice of either Ethernet or wifi, free and a fast connection. It has pools and an exercise room and if I go on talking there will probably be no end to what good things I can write about this place. Lees meer

There is nothing better for the price. Wingate will be our first choice for all future reservations.

The hotel was very nice and I was really surprised how nice the staff was....but if you want to leave your valuables in the safe, you better write down your combination. The night manager had no security bypass code to get into the safe. I was was mortified, but some how I finally got it open with a random set of numbers..

was in town for the Sade concert, location is great was glad to see the assortment of places to eat, close to highway 40

Hotel was clean upon arrival, check in was quick, staff friendly, breakfast buffet was good, gym a little small, but overall a good experience. Rooms are spacious(end corner room), bed is soft, AC is extra cold!!!

Yes, we got a great rate on Hotels.com; but seriously, the beds in the 2 queens room we stayed in for a college visit were SO comfy. Very conveniently located, a full breakfast with a business center and workout space. Plus the staff was VERY friendly and helpful. I don't know what more you could want. We'll be back!

This is generally an OK hotel, comfortabel andclean. Something in the bed made my body itch all night, not sure what it was. Don't think it was bed bugs.

Staff was very nice and went way beyond what was needed in our stay. The "big Boss" of the hotel was out working at 1am with the restbof her crew. That says a lot when the Boss is also willing to do what she ask her people to do.

Not often you find a room with wireless & wired. staff was friendly and attentive, breakfast in the morning was fantastic and it worked great for my working week.
