Green Valley Motel in Pigeon Forge

The motel is a good value if you get the price right. The price booked by Motels.com works out cheaper then by Earl on the Frontdesk. Earl is a nice guy and provide you with lots of information. Cleaning is not a hobby. Vacuum-cleaning is not done in more then 4 days. Cleaning the table and the toilette is depending on the mood of the cleaners.

it was a good place to stay. it was clean and a comfortable bed to sleep on. good location. nice man running the front desk.

Management very helpfull very nice place to stay

My husband and I stayed there for two nights and three days . The customer service was great she was there whenever we needed her. The location was great . For the price and the duration we were there it was worth the money. The room was big . Upon arrival the gentleman at the front desk, the Hotel manager greated us very friendly. He was extremely helpful during our stay. However, our room was not clean. We do have 2 Boston Terriers and therefore requested a pet friendly room. I expected the room to be clean. However, the floor had not been swept. I was in the shower and looked on the walls […] of the shower, only to discover long black hairs all over the sides of the shower. I did discuss it with the Hotel Manager. He had the sheets changed, the shower cleaned, as well as, the floor. However, I checked the shower and the hair was still there. I have short brown hair and my husband has no hair. It was not our hair! The floor was cleaned. I did not push the issue. My husband & I will more than likely not return. I do want to say the Manager was very kind, as well as, helpful. We both feel he did the best that he could do with what he had. The hotel is an older unit. It needs to be updated. We did not like being on 2nd floor with 2 dogs. Getting up in the morings, getting dressed and getting them down to the grass area was an ordeal. I just thought all Pet Friendly rooms would be on ground level. It is the way for most hotels we have stayed in with our Bostons. Doing so would help get the pets out quickly and therefore save the carpet. Lees meer

The traffic to get to the hotel was horrible... an hour to drive 10 miles! I have to believe that's just the area - tourism and so forth. Yes, the area is very congested... so arriving at the hotel and having such wonderful people to welcome my wife and I was nice. The hotel itself is not a Ritz or anything remotely classy - so if you're use to those […] comforts and five star service and such (as I am), you may be dissapointed. There is no restaurant at the motel itself, but there are plenty within walking distance and a short car ride away. The hotel room we stayed in was clean and the housekeepers kept it that way throughout the course of our stay. Of course, we tipped them everyday too... which I'm sure made a difference. The bed wasn't the worse bed I've slept in, but again it's not going to be a Ritz or Hilton bed either. A little hard for my tastes, but trust me when I say I've slept on beds that were harder. If you want to have a good place to sleep, however, that has a helpful and welcoming staff, this is a great place! Truly, the customer service, helpfulness, and friendliness of the staff were amazing and beyond what I'm use to even at such places previously mentioned. The staff were friendly and we felt welcomed, however we chose the room for the fact it was suppose to have a coffee maker in the room. We like the convience of making a cup in the mornings before we leave for the days activities and there was not one in the room as advertised. When I spoke to the manager he promptly placed one in the room while we […] were out but he never gave us any coffee to make with it - that being the entire idea of having one in the room - other than that the rooms were clean the price per night was good and the showers were hot. more towels and shampoo would have been nice - nothing a trip to wal- mart couldnt alieviate but we shouldnt have to do that - all in all I give it a 7 out of 10 for convience - we werent there for the room we were there for the location of the vacation- Lees meer

The motel is older and still uses actual keys instead of cards. The carpet was badly stained and the fridge was lopsided so everything kept sliding out. However, the beds were comfortable enough and no road noise. They only have one ice machine for the entire place though so it makes getting ice a journey unless you're right beside it. Has 3 floors […] and no elevator and I was on the top floor...the stairs were my enemy by the end of the trip lol. On the bright side the older gentleman that runs the front desk is extremely nice and very helpful. Careful though because he will talk your ear off. They also have another motel in Gatlinburg at traffic light 8 and they allow you to park for free and use their indoor pool, hot tub, and spa just for staying at the Green Valley Motel. Overall, not a bad deal. If you are a clean freak and looking for a high class hotel this is not for you. However, if you are looking for someplace cheap with friendly service just to stay at night you can't beat the price. Lees meer

the front desk guy was awsome n was willing to give u all the coupons n advice you could fit in ur ear n hand!!! location is awsome b/c of the heavy traffic n walking around!! the room was clean,but the shower filled up w/ water n didnt drain well,and same with the sink.. the jacuzzi had worn out carpet around it that was coming off n made this awful […] noise while draining... they also let u park at their sister hotel n gatlinburg n use the indoor pool,sauna,n hot tub... overall i was happy w/ the stay n employees!! xoxo Lees meer

Very nice place. People were nice and friendly.

Quite, fridge, microwave, coffee maker (but you have to buy your own coffee) Mostly clean except for the high areas around the windows had a lot of spider webs. Service was good.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Green Valley Motel. The manager was very friendly and informative. Loved the pool area. Only negative was the strong smell of a previous smoker staying in the room I was in. I would recommend this motel as an excellent value to anyone.

If your looking for something affordable yet clean and comfortable this is the place. It's not fancy as a few of the newer hotels but for the price you can't go wrong. i thought the room could have been a little cleaner i don't think they had sweep the carpet in my room and the room had a muskie scent in it if we keep the room real cold the smell wasn't has bad overall i wouldn;t stay there again

Overall stay was ok except bathroom facilities needed some help. Staff was very nice. I would stay there again.

I wouldn't even waste your time housekeeping sucks rooms stay dirty pool closes at 1030 sometimes earlier. Our first day there we notice the microwave had melted cheese stuck to the plate and some lettuce that had been there awhile I let it slide the first night thinking they would clean it out the next morning but they didn't so we called the manager […] and he had housekeeping come clean it right then. They never did clean the bath tub either but after the 2nd day housekeeping started unplugging our refrigerator which ruined our food for the week water leaked from the frig all over everything. When we brought this to the managers attention he said there is nothing he can do about what they do. This hotel is very unorganized and the food in the vending machine was outdated. I was very pleased with my stay at the Green Valley motel. The room was very clean and the bathroom was very clean and in good condition. The jacuzzi tub was VERY nice and perfect working condition. The mini fridge was actually so cold our drinks had slush in them the next morning. The pool area was very clean and the pool itself was crystal clear and […] perfect temperature. My aunt owns a time share in Gatlinburg and their pools can't even hold a candle to this little hotels pool! The manager was great and very helpful to us. we had a restful stay with the large jaquzzi to relax in, Getting around was conveniant and it was easy access to the parkway, or to catch the trolley. They didn't have an elevator but did have ramps up the three floors. The conveniance of the coffee pot, microwave, and refrigerator in our room was also very nice. The only thing going for this hotel is the location. Right at the beginning of the Parkway Road close to a gas station and other businesses. Other than that there isn't anything else that would be attractive to stay at this hotel. The 2 days we were there the room phone did not work (in one room it was not even connected). None of the vending machines […] worked. The floor in the bathroom was warped and the wallpaper peeling around the edges. The linen were probably never washed or just have dulled with use. The pillows were not comfortable and the bed (springs?) would make a loud sound whenever you turned in your sleep form one side to the other. Lees meer

Our room was nice for being in the price range it was in. If you want luxury, this is not the motel to choose. If you want a nice clean room for a couple nights, this is the place. It was clean even though there could have been some maintenance done to spruce things up a bit. I booked a king size, jacuzzi suite for me and my husband for Valentine's Day weekend. Granted the hotel is out dated and needs an overhaul (wallpaper, paint, etc.) but it was perfect for us.

We arrived at 1:30 in the morning. The office was closed and no one was available to let us in. We had to find another hotel! Also, please don't say that this hotel is next to the entrance of Dollywood -- we couldn't even see Dollywood from this place, not even in the daytime. EVERY hotel is next to Dollywood in some form or another in Pigeon Forge. […] Also, there were only 2 cars in the parking lot when we arrived, which did not bode well. When we drove back in the morning we learned that this hotel is in what passes for the "shady" section of Pigeon Forge, where hopes and dreams go to die. We thought that since this was a "sponsored" link on hotels dot com, and given the extra $$$ involved with trying to stay here (this place is $20 more than most other places around it) that the facility would be nice. The reality is absolutely the opposite. I wouldn't stay in this place during the daytime, let alone at night. Couple that with the office not being opened AND hotels dot come NOT telling us about the check-in time restrictions and, well, we're certainly not going to stay here every and will probably not use hotels dot com either. For 15 dollars more, we got a suite at the Timber Log Motel -- one of the nicest rooms during our entire trip. I would highly recommend avoiding this hotel and its stretch of Pigeon Forge at all cost. Lees meer

Avoid at all costs! Very nasty!

The desk clerk and office was very nice and clean. When we got up to the room it was dirty and had a water leak in the bathroom. There was a cherrio on the floor when we got there and it was still there when we left. I guess you do get what you pay for.

The price and location were right. The hotel staff was extremely courteous and quick to respond. However, we had no hot water for part of the first evening. It was however fixed very quickly. There was no hair dryer in the room as advertised. There were tears in the carpet. All the above was more tolerable than the completely uncomfortable mattresses […] which really need to be replaced. I wouldn't stay there again, but you get what you pay for and as mentioned, the staff was extremely courteous and accommodating. Lees meer

Overall, a nice place to stay. The only things we found to be wrong was the squeeking matress when yo moved and old coffe grounds left in the coffee maker in the room....not a big problem, since there was no coffee in the room. Still a restful night.

The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Our stay was a pleaseant experience. Would recommend to anyone wanting to visit pigeon Forge.

I only use a hotel room for the evening/sleeping/shower and for the price and location those were all fine.

everything was perfect

it was ok mixed up smoking and non and the office was closed ALL OF THE TIME and wifi signal was Very weak if it worked at all but since i was just there to sleep it was just fine

This is a nice hotel if you are looking for inexpensive. This has all your needs looked after, its not posh. If you prefer to spend your money on attractions and eating, which are pricey, you will want to stay here. Staff is friendly and courteous, and prompt to your needs.

If you are looking for the latest and greatest this is not it..but if you are looking for a clean comfortable room at a great price this is it.The staff are friendly,the swimming pool is clean and nice with plenty of chairs for sunning.....over all its a great stay for a good price

This was a good motel at the price we paid and they had a wonderful staff. They were very curtious and made us feel at home. We stayed 5 nights, and went to Dollywood everyday of the stay. This motel was convenently located on the strip, right below Dixie Stampede and Dollywood Lane. I would recommend this motel to everyone for the low price and wonderful […] stay.
