my stay was great, the room was very clean, nice tv, no smells, bathroom clean, the only thing i was missing was an iron, and i'm sure it was at the front desk. the staff was great, the hotel was right across from the beach great location.. we enjoyed our stay and we will stay again!!!!!

We stayed here for 5 nights, room was clean, housekeeping was great, front desk staff was great. The beds were to hard for us, but you can't please everyone with the beds. Continental Breakfast but that was ok with us, we are not big breakfast eaters. Right across the road from the beach and within walking distance from several places to eat. All I was looking for was a clean place to shower and sleep after a long day at the beach surfing. Clean room clean sheets but the bathroom door was broken.

Have stayed at this hotel in the past (only live near Jax - but go to concerts at the Amphitheater and prefer to stay overnight). The hotel was in very good condition, clean carpets, rooms had zero odor (like some other hotels), the fridge was already on (a lot of the time I have to turn on after i get there and wait for it to cool down), the only issue […] we had was we were right near an ice machine, and since its not the scoop type it dispenses like in a convenience store, people were getting ice all through the night and not having any respect for the rooms near it, so it was a bit noisy, no choice but to stay in the room as the hotel was booked. they could have had a few more pillows as we had a King suite and only 3 very flat standard size pillows. other than that, i was very pleased with the hotel itself. and will return again for my next concert... I stayed here 2 months ago and since everything was perfect on that trip, I stayed here again (even got the same room). The hotel is close to my friends' home and many good restaurants. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I will certainly stay here the next time I am in St. Augustine.

The walls are thin and you can hear everyone talking. The rates for the hotel were very good tho. The room was clean. Didn't have a USA paper on the premises.

only stayed one night but enjoyed the close proximity to the beach and the room was clean. Set back from the main A1A strip so it was actually much quieter than I expected. friendly staff and great overall experience.

Bed was very firm, room was clean but very busy bedspread. Had to walk across the street to get to beach but then everybody did since I didn't really see any hotel on the beach side except maybe one.

I travel all around Florida for work and stay in different hotels constantly. I have been to St Aug many times and never stayed here. Glad I did. The room was very clean, the updates they had done were nice. The furniture in the room was a bit cheap looking, the shower head was not great in the shower, but other than that you can't beat it. Nice sized room ,great location .Located walking distance from beach and pier.Only critiques were outside pool would be better than the indoor one.Breakfast area needs to be cleaner and better supplied.

Room was nice and big for amount spent. Newly remodeled with hanging flat screen TV and fresh paint. Smoke free room :) Bed was a little hard, but if you like your bed hard than this place is definitely worth the money! "Continental" breakfast was disappointing - cereal, danishs, bread, muffins, and fruit. No hot food. Great location if your destination […] is the amphitheatre - less than 2 miles away and the lovely lady at the front desk even recommended a cab driver that won't rip you off because you're from out of town. Room was OK, clean, linen good. If you stood outside and leaned way out you could see the ocean (All motels in this area were pretty much the same. The indoor pool would have been better as an outside pool so you could sit around it with and adult beverage and enjoy the sea air and sounds. There was a jiffy store and restaraunt within easy walking distance […] and St. Augustine was only about 5 miles away. This would be a good place for spending the night, but not a beach get a way. Second time staying here. You get what you pay for. If you're going to spend most your time outside the room and on the beach or hitting tourist joints, no problem. But, it ain't the Ritz so don't expect it! Great location to walk to beach. It's right across the street. Short drive to St. Augustine tourist traps. Biggest beef--I don't think I have EVER […] used a more uncomfortable towel to dry off after a shower. If you have the slightest bit of sunburn you better use your beach towel to dry off because you'll be in even more pain after using their towels! Roughest towels I've ever used in my life. Also, the shower took 10 minutes to drain after each usage. We could have collected the sand and made our own beach on the bathroom floor after three days of showers. Otherwise, rooms were clean. Maids did a good job of room service while we were gone. For price I'd stay again. Lees meer

hotel location was great very accessible to beach. Pr iced just right only problems I had was bed uncomfor table too hard, they could have invested in better pillows and towels overall I give 3.5 out 5 ratings.

I understand that you sometimes get what you pay for and while i wasn't expecting it to be of 5 star quality i was very disapointed in the fact that the room looked nothing like the pictures,not only did i feel like i had stepped into a 70's time warp with the decor but i had a more comfortable sleep the second night by sleeping on the floor! The towels […] looked dingy and i had to ask for new ones after finding hair in them once they were unfolded,there were burns and smoke stains throughout my nonsmoking room. It is very close to the beach and some great restaurants it's also relatively quite at night though i am lead to believe it may be because there are many better places to stay Lees meer

Just stayed for a little weekend beach trip. Was not the nicest hotel I ever stayed in, but I wasn't expecting it to be too fancy for the price. The accommodations were more than acceptable for the pice paid. The location to the pier/beach/resturaunts and the friendly staff were great. Booked on hotels.com. Price was awesome. It was a spur of the moment getaway, rooms were clean, updated. Beds are firm. Fridge and microwave were clean and worked great. It is just what it's advertised. A renovated motel located in a great spot-beach across A1A. Front desk was helpful. One child was reajrill at 1 am & front desk was e beach accommodating. Breakfast was adequate but not as good as many. Pool is indoors . If you want to take kids to the beach & access St Augustine's sights w/o spending a fortune this […] works. Very pleasantly surprised! The room was clean and comfortable w/fridge, microwave, coffee maker and a nice flat-screen TV. The staff was very friendly and helpful with directions to surrounding attractions. The location was great - right across the street from a lovely pier and beautiful beach. Pleasantly surprised and very happy with the Regency. Our room had been updated, which included new carpet, bathroom tile and very comfortable new beds. Breakfast was minimal, but enough to keep us satisfied until lunchtime. Another nice benefit was an elevator, since our room was on 2nd floor. We booked thru Hotels.com and this place was more affordable than others in the same area. The main draw back was that it was not on the beach with ocean view. There was, however access directly across the street. The room was clean and appeared newly painted and furnished. Bathroom fixtures showed some wear (evidently not updated with furniture) but […] were clean and functional. The curtain in the front window was a little tattered but still provided privacy and darkness. Staff was polite and quick to please. Continental breakfast par. Welcoming was pretty good , great location , room well kept, whirlpool was good and location was great. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are on a tight budget but still want to have a quite respectful service and a comfortable room.

For the price, I did expect a newer hotel room, but it was clean. I always wonder why hotels dont clean up the rusty suitcase stands and rust around fixtures. The hotel room had a strong smell of clorox, almost too strong. But it was clean and comfortable.

I really enjoyed the people who worked at this hotel. They were very nice and helpful. The cleaning lady and the lady at the front desk were two very sweethearted people. They cared about the people who stayed at this hotel.
