Prima hotel voor uitstapjes naar Keulen. Het Hotel heeft alles in huis, tot Welness toe. Kamers zijn zeer rustig (zolang je het raam dicht laat). Met de tram (direct voor de deur) ben je in 10 minuten in het centrum. Een prima hotel om even tot rust te komen.

Prima hotel. Tijdens ontbijt hadden wij het idee dat het vor het personeel niet meer te overzien was. Veel was op zoals glazen theepotten broodjes onafgehaalde tafels.

Bedden zijn goed en kamerfaciliteiten. Alleen een beetje jammer dat ontbijt niet inclusief was. Dit kost 25 euro! per persoon. Ook de drankjes in de bar zijn duur. Een colaatje is 3,60 euro! De spa/wellness faciliteiten zijn SUPER heerlijk zwembad en bubbelbad, grote stoomsauna en finse sauna. We chose this hotel as we were not sure whether the inner city would be accessible by car during the carnival (it wasn't). helpful staff, quick and efficient service (except in clearing the breakfast tables), breakfast selection great and very tasty - plenty of variety. Spa and sauna facilities very relaxing. Gym needs a bit of an upgrade - old equipment is a bit clunky but all in all, very nicely kept and another great stay. Guess that's why I keep going back :-)

Have stayed now twice at this location. Both times in conjunction with seeing a concert at Laxness. Everything was perfect. Breakfast and parking might be considered a bit high for U. S. standards, cost wise.

The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, great coffee. The food in the restaurant was lovely. All I would ask for is some english breakfast tea in the room and milk to go with it ;) Perfect location for Koelmesse exhibition centre

Unbeatable location for business and conferences. Only drawback is the restrictive WiFi policy (pay per device and day), and somewhat uninspired food choices. The room is great with wonderful amenities. Clean and very modern. In the two-story suite rooms (strange config but charming) there are even full kitchenettes that can be unlocked (you may have […] to ask the staff to unlock what looks like a closet to access it though). Some of the staff unfortunately could use a charm-school lesson, particular the angry skinny pale bartender and waiter. The check-in staff however, was lovely, efficient and a joy to deal with. They limit the air conditioning to 18 C on the low end. I am now at another hotel and it goes down to 16, but even at 17 it feels 5 degrees cooler than the Dorint. If you don't mind having a hard time going to sleepmand waking up all sweaty ever morning then this is the place for you. The staff themselves were very friendly otherwise and I feel bad […] to give a bad review. The food in the restaurant was Ok, but not great and I would recommend taking a short walk to the otherside of train bridge where there are a lot of nice restaurants of many kinds. I guess to end a good note. The hotel is DIrectly in front of the convention center so going to GDC and Gamescom was as easy as crossing the street. Wonderful hotel. Clean, modern, GREAT location, transport links are really good. The spa area is excellent- really spacious jacuzzi area and relax room. Staff all spoke good English and were incredibly polite and helpful. Breakfast buffet was good quality and had a good range of choices. The service here was great too. We really enjoyed our stay.

The maisonette suite was spacious, yet rather bland. A couple of small maintenance issues, including a faulty shower hose, and a light bulb not working in the coffee making cabinet. Nothing worth bothering with during stay but reported at check out. Lovely bathroom, comfortable bed, really quiet and staff really pleasant.

The hotel is not worth the high price they charge during the exhibition. I expect a business hotel of this level at least to have a business center, and preferably with free internet as well as free internet in the lobby, but I got disappointed. I stayed here for 4 days for a mixture of work and pleasure. As a former resident of Cologne I know the hotel was not in the heart of the city, but that the location would still be very convenient. It is a 5-10 minute walk from the Koeln-Messe railway station - from here you can take the high-speed ICE trains to many parts of the country, or the local […] trains to the airport. The tram stop right outside the hotel will take you to Neumarkt, which is at the end of Schilder Gasse, the busiest shopping street in Europe. Stay on the tram a little longer to Friesenplatz and walk south along the Ring for a feel of the modern, bustling, metropolitan Cologne, or maybe walk back east through some of the tighter streets and boutique shops. The Cathedral / Dom is about a 25 minute walk but this takes in a rather magnificent view of the city as you cross the Rhine river - and check out all the padlocks on the bridge too. If you're in town for an event at the Trade Fair / Messe then the location is great - the east entrance is directly over the street from the hotel. The hotel itself is very modern, with all the amenities you would expect. My room was spotless and comfortable. There is an excellent breakfast buffet, although this was a little expensive at 25EUR. The staff were friendly and efficient. I selected this hotel because it: 1) was a little away from the bustle of the centre of the city 2) it looked clean and modern and 3) it was in a convenient location to get around the city And the hotel passed these three criteria with flying colours. I was most disappointed with this hotel for 2 reasons, firstly my booking was for a Queen Bed, non-smoking, in reality I was in a room with a single bed which was only seperated from the neighbouring room by way of a temporary wall partition (I assume it is used as a fmaily room on occasions). The hotel was full so I could not move. The adjoining room […] was not occupied on the first 2 nights of my stay but on the third morning I awoke to a very strong smell of smoke from my neighbour which was coming under the partition and could clearly hear every movement in that room. The second issue is regarding the process this hotel has introduced for charging for breakfsat. On booking I selected not to take breakfsat (preferring to take it in the exhibition hall). On arrival I was again asked if I wanted breakfast and I declined. I was then given 3 small slips of paper that said `Hotel Dorint Breakfast Voucher' on them (with no further explanation) with my room key. I disposed of these in my room as I still did not wish to take breakfast at the hotel. On checking out they tried to charge me for 3 breakfasts (at about £25/day I beleive), I explained that I had not taken breakfast, they checked the records and agreed, but then proceeded to tell me that without returning the slips of paper I was still liable to pay for the 3 breakfasts. It took some persuading on my part that I would not be paying and he did remove the charge from my bill - albeit begrudgingly. Lees meer

Great hotel if you are attending the Koeln Messe. It really is only steps across the street to the east entrance. The tram also stops there so you are just minutes away from the alt stadt if you want to visit the Dom church. Good breakfast included with room. Parking is secure below hotel. Easy access to autobahn. Will definately stay again.

The rooms are very clean and comfortable, large and comfortable beds. The swimming pool and all the SPA facilities are just excellent, clean and very enjoying. The hotel location is just across that trade fair and only few minutes by train to the city center. Breakfast was excellent. Excellent and very friendly hotel. Fifteen metres from a tram stop and ten minutes walk from Deutz station make it incredibly easy to use this hotel as a base for travelling around Cologne. Alstadt and Heumarkt are a five minutes tram journey and Neumarkt ahnd the central shopping area ten minutes away. The local shops in Deutzer Freiheit are a ten […] minutes walk away and allow you to visit local butchers, bakeries and local bars. Note that I mentioned the local bars, The food here was exceptional and better value than eating in the Alstadt. You also get to meet and converse with locals. Very disappointed with hotel arrived early evening couldnt get anything to eat in bar area, they didnt try to accomodate us., had room service in the end but they were very busy. - booked romantic meal for 2 by e mail with confirmation got to L'Adresse very expensive restaurant at booking time. Restaurant was full. Oh sorry we have a problem so was […] ushered to next door restaurant that didnt have a table same as previous night.. complained at reception was ushered to breakfast room given cheaper menu with no atmosphere totally ruined romantic weekend. Room not cleaned when we returned on two occasions was done later. should be stripped of two stars. Beds very uncomfortable, hard gave us back ache couldnt sleep. Had to change our own shampoo bottle taken from trolley in the corrider. Dont expect to pay for a 4* Hotel and get 2nd rate service. Felt uncomfortable in Spa didnt like they way the only person in swimsuit in spa. couldnt go into sauna clothed. Went for Christmas Markets didnt matter what time of day you went Too busy, wont do this again. Lees meer

The Dorint was a very nice hotel and the staff is helpful in everyway possible. Internet is a little expensive compared to what I've been used to but the room was comfortable and big. The only thing I would consider a downside would be it location. It is not close to any sites, restaurants, etc. The Koln Messe trainstation is close, about a 10 minute […] walk, but the majority of action in Koln (at least what I was exposed to) is around the Koln HBF trainstation, which is on the other side of the Rhine river. I was so pleased with my stay here, I'm looking forward to coming back. The Beds and pillows were so comfortable and the details were excellent. le dorint est idéalement situé si vous devez aller au koln messe le standing y est assez élevé, les services nombreux et payant, par exemple pas de wifi gratuite... le petit dejeuner en buffet est correct mais sans plus et le prix de ce dernier est excessif ! c'est un bel hotel mais il y a des amélioration a apporter au vu du rapport qualité/prix

Wir hatten eine Maisonett-Suite reserviert. Die Raumaufteilung hätte ich mir anders vorgestellt (mit Gallerie), aber war dann schon ganz OK mit Wohnzimmer unten und Badezimmer, kleiner Garderobe und Schlafzimmer oben. Sofas im Wohnbereich waren etwas hart/unbequem. Die Heizung im Bad ging in unserem Zimmer nicht. Restaurant war ganz nett und es gab […] gutes Essen. Eingangsbereich und Lobby ist ansprechend. Der Wellnessbereich ist ganz ordentlich mit Pool, Sauna, Dampfbad, Whirlpool - es war aber bis spät Abends überfüllt.
