Leuk hotel overal dichtbij alles op loopafstand zelfs met 2 kids van 10 en 13! Parkeer gelegenheid is minder al hadden wij geluk en hadden een mooi gratis plekje. Super 3 dagen gehad.

Dit hotel bevindt zich op de ideale plek in Berlijn. Je stapt de deur uit en je bent in DE winkelstraat van Berlijn, restaurants zijn er volop in de buurt en je kunt heerlijk (en goedkoop) ontbijten of een broodje halen bij back WERK. We hebben in het hotel daarom niet ontbeten, en ook verder niet gegeten, en dat geldt volgens mij voor veel gasten. Binnen 15 minuten ben je te voet bij de Brandenburger Tor, en de rivier de Spree is dichtbij. Ook de U- of S-Bahn is bij het hotel. Handig!! Dit hotel is anders dan andere hotels, je kijkt namelijk direct vanuit je hotelkamer in de lobby. Kamers zijn stil, je hoort wel de airco. Jammer was dat er maar een paar zenders waren op de televisie. Doordat het hotel Spaans is, zijn er veel Spanjaarden in het hotel, en bijvoorbeeld weinig Nederlanders. Het hotelpersoneel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ik (en mijn dochter van 8 jaar) zouden er een volgende keer zo weer naar toe gaan.

Wij kregen een suite, erg ruim, de kinderen (17 en 16) lagen wel op een opklapbed in de huiskamer, maar het was wel veel gezelliger dan dat we 2 kamers hadden gekregen, en erg ruim. Alles schoon, ze waren erg vriendelijk, makkelijk dat je aan de balie gewoon een welcome card voor het openbaar vervoer kan kopen, de skybar is prachtig, Je bent snel in de stad met de tram, neem niet m8 dan kom je niet op centrale plaats uit, de Norma aan de overkant is makkelijk voor boodschappen. Het ontbijtbuffet is heel uitgebreid en erg lekker, werd steeds aangevuld, op zondag tot 13.00u! Wij konden er tot 's avonds op teren!
Ligging.
Swissotel Berlin ligt in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf in Berlijn, dicht bij Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, Dierentuin van Berlijn en Siegessäule. In de buurt bevinden zich ook Tiergarten en KaDeWe.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Swissotel Berlin heeft een sauna en een fitnesscentrum. In openbare ruimtes is draadloos internet of internet via een hogesnelheidskabel (tegen betaling) beschikbaar.Dit hotel met met 5 sterren beschikt over zakelijke voorzieningen waaronder een businesscentrum met 24/7 toegang, een vergader-/conferentieruimte en een technische helpdesk. Dit hotel in luxe stijl heeft een restaurant. Het personeel kan op verzoek een conciërgeservice, hulp bij excursies/tickets en een huwelijksservice regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een dakterras, meertalig personeel en een wasserij. Parkeerruimte is tegen betaling beschikbaar, maar beperkt. Dit is een rookvrije accommodatie.

Swissotel Berlin heeft 316 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een cd-speler en kluisjes in de kamer (ook geschikt voor laptops). Elke kamer heeft lcd-televisie met premiumkanalen via kabel/satelliet. Elke accommodatie beschikt over een bureau, een kluisje op de kamer en een telefoon met meerdere lijnen met voicemail. Bij betaling van een toeslag kan een snelle internetverbinding (draadloos of via kabel) worden aangeboden. Elke kamer is voorzien van een koelkast met een minibar. Elke badkamer heeft een afzonderlijk bad en een afzonderlijke douche met een handdouche, kamerjassen, designer toiletartikelen en make-up-/scheerspiegels. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een gratis krant en een waterkoker/koffiezetapparaat. Daarnaast zijn op verzoek voorzieningen beschikbaar zoals een turndownservice, massagebehandelingen op de kamer en hypo-allergeen beddengoed. Een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar. In Swissotel Berlin mag niet op de kamers worden gerookt.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag in rekening worden gebracht.

's Avonds kun je hier ook genieten van pianomuziek.
Palermo Bar- Leren bankjes omringen de eilandvormige Palermo bar, op de belangrijkste verdieping van het hotel.'s Avonds geopend. Aan de bar worden kleine hapjes geserveerd.

Wilmersdorf is een van de meest aantrekkelijke en lommerrijke woonwijken van Berlijn met zijn indrukwekkende flatgebouwen, talrijke hotels en grote park. Aan de noordkant van de wijk bevindt zich de winkelboulevard Kurfürstendamm, met zijn vele cafépleinen. In de Fasanenstrasse zijn verscheidene galerieën en exclusieve boetieks gevestigd en bevindt zich ook het Literaturhaus en het Käthe Kollwitz Museum. De straat ligt op vijf kilometer afstand van de meren en het bos van Grünewald.

Met een groep van 4 personen hebben wij in het Swiss Hotel geslapen. Ondanks dat het hotel vol zat hadden ze er rekening mee gehouden dat we twee kamers naast elkaar kregen. De kamers zien er schoon en goed uit. Enig nadeel van de kamer is dat er maar 1 stoel staat in plaats van de twee die je zou verwachten. Voor de rest is de kamer, met inbegrip […] van de badkamer perfect. De service en klantgerichtheid van het personeel is tevens ook perfect. Ze bieden veel services aan zoals diverse soorten hoofdkussens. Met een enkel belletje aan de receptie werd alles geregeld. Binnen 10 seconden kon de portier een taxi regelen, en zo nog veel meer! Vergeleken met andere 5 sterren hotels in deze stad behoort dit hotel tot de top. Mocht u de keuze hebben tussen dit hotel en het aan de overkant gelegen Concorde hotel, dan zou ik toch voor het Concorde hotel gaan daar de kamers er nog comfortabeler en groter zijn. The staff were most welcoming, and for our first trip in Berlin could not have asked for more knowledgeable and friendlier front desk - we got great tips on walking routes and nightlife, and anything we could think of. It's a beautiful hotel at the Ku'damm, and there's enough to see there, great connections to S- and U-bahn. Very friendly staff. The concierge showed us where the cinema and nice cocktail bars were. The restaurant is very good and the cocktails in the Palermo bar are also very nice. The staff at the Swissotel were pleasent, helpful and courteous and did everything possible to ensure our comfort during our stay. The hotel is ideally located just off the Ku'Dam and is only a short walk from Zoo Train Station. Would highly recoemmend this htel.

The Swissotel Berlin is centrally located one block from the main shopping area. The "Zoo" metro and bus hub are three blocks walking distance. Buses #9 and #109 from Tegel Airport arrive within 15-20 minutes and the fare is approximately Euro 2.50! Bus #100 from the "Zoo" station takes one to the major tourist sites in Berlin. THe Concierge and Staff […] were attentive to our needs (we asked numerous questions!). We also enjoyed the delicious apples which were at the reception desk. This hotel was great overall. My only complaint was the bed because it was very hard. I told the hotel and they changed my room immediately. The rooms were big and comfortable. Location amazing.

"Excellent luxury for the price"
I had a great stay at this hotel and was thrilled with the "luxe" details of the room for the price I paid. Great bed, nice pillows, a bathtub and a shower, huge bath sheets, a lovely lighting scheme, and a TERRIFIC espresso coffee maker. The staff was very friendly also. It felt like a "treat" to stay here.

This Swissotel is comparable to ones in which I have stayed in other major cities. One of the biggest pluses is the great service one gets from all hotel employees. Also, the hotel is conveniently located next to a U-Bahn station and major bus stops. Another major station for the S-Bahn and U-Bahn is only a couple of blocks away. Stops for all the sightseeing […] buses are less than a block away. There are enough restaurants and coffee shops nearby to be convenient and a major department store with a basement deli is next door. The only thing I would change about this hotel is to reduce or eliminate the charge for internet access (virtually no other hotels charge for this) and lower the price a few euros for the full breakfast. On the whole, however, the value received for the price of the room is extremely good for a high-end hotel in the center of a major city. I found the reception staff to be excellent. They are responsive and will go the extra mile to get your the information you need. I certainly put them to the test with my requests for information or directions on where to go and where to dine and not to mention helping me determine if I am able to fly on the morning when the volcanic clouds were heading […] towards Berlin. Wake me up at $.45am and let me know the latest news! Room was comfortable proven by my recovery from running nose and raised temperature on my first day but soon put to "rest" within the comfy room and hot free coffee provided! Swissotel is a great choice for a Berlin discovery trip (most sightseeing busses leave within few meters from the hotel vicinity). The rooms are a bit small, but I guess that's normal for a city hotel - I definitely recommend a Ku'damm view room! We had left our passports and cash in the room safe leaving Berlin in a rush until we found out on the train ride to Praha. We called the hotel and asked them to retrieve the items while we made our way back. And they had done exactly so and we found everything intact, safe and sound. They saved our trip!

Very good service. All the employees were nice and pleasant. We were escorted to our room and received an explanation + hotel orientation. All of our requests were taken care of in a speedy manner. The service at this hotel is top notch, from the bar and restaurant staff to the reception staff. Location is perfect; concierge was VERY helpful. Rooms are well appointed - you can even order your prefered type of pillow from the "pillow menu". Bathrooom included seperate bathtub and shower. A very nice hotel - fairly spacious and good quality rooms, excellent customer service, great location for the shopping. Rooms are very comfortable. Beds initially feel a bit hard but are memory foam so they adjust to your body shape - this may not be to everyone's taste. Bathrooms are not large but contain both good sized bath and shower. They don't […] charge for coffee capsules for the coffee machine in the room, as many hotels do. Cleanliness is excellent. We both suffered with very dry skin during our stay (November) - difficult to know if this was the hotel air con or the city. Never ate in the hotel so cannot comment on that. Bar service was exemplary. Hotel rated as luxury, which it probably is, but in a slightly corporate way - minimalist feel to the lobby and to the rooms. As a result it felt a bit impersonal. "Swissotel - Excellent service and Room cleanlines"
The Swissotel lived up to our expectations. Clean, effficient and friendly service. Although located a little out of the centre of Berlin it is a 2 minute walk to the nearest tube station. The hotel feels most suitable for business travellers rather than tourists.

Very Nice, good location, public transportation easy, safe, and clean, good price, great place to stay. If you drive parking all over Europe is very expensive and not included. Check before you go.
