The staff was terrific, the room had a view of the Arch, and a short walk to the old train depot and beautiful Market Street. We arrived hours before check-in and the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and assisted us in getting a check-in as early as humanly possible.

We stayed at the Sheraton just off 14th. It was basically kitty corner from the Scottrade Center, walking distance to the ball field, City Garden and the Arch. We walked to the Arch, dinner at Joe Bucks and had a nice stroll through City Garden. Very cool. The Hotel has a decent roof top deck to enjoy the sun and weather. The pool is located up there […] too and is quite large along with a hot tub area. Very family friendly. There is a decent size fitness area, but didn't have a chance to use any of the equipment. Hotel was a little dated. Big old style televisions and no free wifi. Overall though clean and friendly.

First the positives: The indoor pool was nice and large. It was close to downtown activities. I also liked the added security of having to use your hotel key to use the elevators. The rooms were large. BUT........ The room was in need of a good cleaning. Part of the problem was older furnishing and carpet. I wore my socks the whole time. (while looking […] for bedbugs....there were none!, I found a ton of curly coarse black hair on the edge of the bottom mattress. Needless to say this was a major reason this hotel turned me off. This hotel was nicely located to so many great restaurans. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The exercise room was very nice and clean. Our couch and chair had some interesting stains and our refrigerator was not very cold. Nice parking situatiin and easy traffic to negotiate. All in all a good value for what we received.

Very nice hotel, clean, friendly service, good location. Only negative, slow to respond to service call.

The Sheraton St. Louis City Center was a very disappointing experience. The room was quite run down and my kids had to sleep on an uncomfortable pull our bed with ripped sheets and blankets. There was no wifi in the rooms and the parking garage (at $17 per night) was always full as the hotel rents it out to people going to the hockey game. Wifi...surcharge Business center and lounge....upgrades Parking....surcharge The separate sitting room is not separately all, rooms are spacious but only thing separate was bathroom...which was nice.

I read another review before booking this that stated old hotel...I took that the wrong way...Old in this case means poorly taken care of. The first room we went to, smellled strongly of cigarette smoke even though it was a nonsmoking room plus the furniture had holes in it and pictures were missing from the walls. The 2nd room had a funky smell. We […] never figured it out, but when we moved a chair to pull out the sofa bed, we found dried vomit under the chair on the carpet. Some of our towels had holes in them and the shower had mildew in it. I was very disappointed in the quality and upkeep of this property. I would not recommend a stay here. Lees meer

the hotel really needs to be updated. the sofa and chairs, and carpet were all stained. the furnature and picture frames had quite a bit of dost on them

The staff was outstanding. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, which was much appreciated. However, the room was just dirty. Stains on the carpet, the sofa looked like something from a frat house rather than a hotel, the sheets of the pull-out bed hadn't been changed and were covered with crumbs, the chairs cushions had food in them. The tile floor was so slippery I saw person after person fall flat on their backs, and one little girl had a black eye and stitches following a fall at the pool. Not well thought out. Lees meer

The stay was ok but the double charged me on two occasions during the week I was there. That messed up my spending money for several days.

Stayed overnight after a concert at The Peabody Opera house which is only a one block walk. Great location, clean room, nice accommodations. Need to move up to the 21st century and put flat screen TV's I'm the rooms.

Literally right off the exit from 64. Very convenient. Beautiful pool area and roof top sun deck. Friendly staff. Good advise from concierge.

Room was not vacuumed or cleaned daily, garbage was left in rooms, items were not restocked daily, pull out couch was broken and unsafe for my 3 year old to sleep on. Lacated directly across from the Metro Station. Many attractions were within walking distance but after walking one evening to Union Station we did not feel confortable walking passed […] the many people hanging around the Metro. Great location getting on and off expressways. No place to eat dinner in hotel, a restaurant that is opne in the evening would be nice. They did have a bar that served food, but we waited a good 20 minutes for service and no one came to wait on us, so we went elsewhere off property. Front desk, valet, bell hops were very nice. I was a bit disappointed that the hotel was not closer to the Arch. It is within walking distance but about a 25 minute walk. There is a trolley that runs during the week for $2.00 pp, so we used that one day. The hotel was clean, but dated. The couch in our room had a big tear in the fabric at the bottom. We booked a last minute room at the Sheraton for the Life Class Tour...It was extremely close to the Peabody, less than 3 blocks away and an easy walk. Even better access off the highway. Due to other events going on aka NCAA, we had to wait for our room to be ready which wasn't bad, The staff was friendly and the lobby was clean and comfy. The room...i […] would've waited another hour for them to reclean. The carpet looked like a buffett was spilled on it and the bathroom pipes ( shower and toilet) were so loud and shook, it was crazy. The furniture has seen better days We didn't even see fit to put our purses just anywhere. I was hesitant to walk around without shoes on, but the front desk service people, especially Maggie were very nice and friendly. Maybe due to all the events, they were shortstaffed and if they weren't booked to capacity I would've demanded another room and a comp night, but once again the staff were friendly. Also, you can only get wifi in the lobby- that's it. So for all you ipad, iphone users it sucks. They still have an ethernet cable in the room which I didn't know whether to laugh or cry at. Parking was interesting, You can either self park or valet. The parking garage is like an overized loft with these huge columns and random faded parking spaces. I didn't know if I took up two or three spaces, but there was no way in this world I was parking far away from the elevators. The lighting, the setup... is a little uncomfortable. If you need a close room the the Peabody Opera House, Union Station and one of the stadiums and don't have a need to stay long, sure go for it but bring house slippers. This was our first trip to St. Louis and was planned totally on impulse. We needed a hotel that was centrally located to all the tourist attractions. But more importantly, we needed a room that would hold our 3 kids and us comfortably (6 year old b/g twins and an 8 yo girl). Our room was HUGE, with 2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa in a separate area. […] With 2 tv's and separate beds, we and the kids loved our "apartment". Bistro 14, the hotel restaurant had a fabulous breakfast buffet (that was the only meal we ate at the restaurant). The pool was HUGE, the hot tub warm. I would definitely stay here again. The only issue we had was a comfort issue with the sleeper sofa. The mattress was kind of (okay, very) thin, even for a sofa bed. My son slept fine on it, but I tried to lay with him and couldn't. I had tickets to an event at the Peabody Opera House and this was the PERFECT hotel for that event. It was in walking distance of the Peabody and public transportation was across the street from the hotel which made going to The Delmar Loop, The Casinos, and virtually any other attraction in St. Louis very easy to get to. The fitness center was state […] of the art and the pool and jacuzzi were nice. The suite I stayed in was very spacious and the atmosphere of the hotel was very peaceful. The beds and pillows were very comfortable!!! The only problem I had was finding restaurants in the area. I suggest looking those up online before your stay. We recently visited St Louis for our first time. We are a family of 2 adults and an 11 year old. The location was perfect for us. We came and went on the Amtrack and the hotel was right across the street. In addition, local transportation such as the trolley bus, local buses, and the metralink were just a hop skip and a jump across the street. Our family […] loves to walk and honestly the walk to the arch, Edward Jones Dome, City Museum, were so easy to get to. At night, the bus area did have a lot of locals. No one bothered us when we walked. The hotel itself was a little outdated and the cleanliness of the bathroom area I feel could have been slightly better. Hotel across the street from bus station, but only 4-5 blocks from Arch. Parking garage located on first couple floors of building (convenient, but there is a nightly fee that is charged to your room). Room was spacious and clean. Pool on top floor with partial view of Arch. Restaurants on property with room service available.

Nice hotel, but def has its flaws. I'm just so annoyed by how much they nickel and dime you for everything. The hefty parking and Internet fees for one, the price of the food/beverages.. And we even got charged for a local phone call we made to reserve tickets to the arch! Our room was a nice size and clean, but I couldn't get it cool enough to sleep […] comfortably either night we were there. The pool is huge but freezing cold and the hottub burning hot. Just find it strange that the 2 star half the cost hotel we stayed at the previous nights (diff city) we got free Internet, parking, breakfast.. AND I was more comfortable with a great AC. Lees meer

Spacious rooms, great service and hotel but my only complaint was that the surrounding neighborhood (going away from downtown) was not so great. But not that I didn't feel safe driving around there but I was told not to walk around that area. Close to good restaurants and right off highway.

Staff was so friendly and helpful, room was beautiful, bed was a sleep-number bed and oh my goodness I could have lived in that bed. Good rate through hotels.com, clean room, beautiful lobby, great location downtown and easy to get in and out, I highly recommend this hotel and I will stay there my next trip to St. Louis. Very pleased.

Walking distance, ie Drinking distance, to Scottrade Center. Great for concerts or hockey games & seeing the Arch.

Wow great room and great price! Very happy with my everything!

The stay at the hotel was very pleasant. Everyone was very professional and courteous. I'd book a room there again if I need to be in St. Louis at some future time.

Staff was very friendly, location was perfect. We were in walking distant from Amtrak, Scott Trade Center and restaurants. Room was very nice, except ours was kind of musky. I was only there for one night so I didn’t complain.
