"Hotel not to far from the track"
This place was great! Staff was friendly and helpful. Great breakfast options. We have already booked a room for the October race!
"Saturday night stay"
Room/hallways/elevator/public areas all very clean and comfortable, front desk staff very friendly and efficient. Good & plentiful breakfast. "It's OK."
The room was OK, except for the mostly non-functional AC unit (fortunately the window opened a little and the fan cooled it "enough" we didn't feel motivated to pack up our stuff and a 3 year old to relocate). The beds were OK. The breakfast was OK. The pool was OK. The spa was not, considering the timer was broken. The staff was friendly. The privacy […] door-hanger was missing, so housekeeping came in on us (I don't personally like housekeeping to come in my room until I check out). It was close to a nice shopping/restaurant area and the airport. Overall, I think it was worth something like $20-$30 less than I paid... "Airport Inn: New Management, Under Construction"
Right now there is a simple problem: new ownership has undertaken renaming/remodeling the hotel. That means paint smell, construction debris, and a general unfinished look throughout. Staff is helpful and pleasant, but management hasn't got it together yet. Example: there are no media regarding Kansas City at all. If you are just passing thru and curious […] about where to eat or what you might visit. Also, the breakfast buffet was either late or incomplete, easily the least inviting of any on my trip. "Great for Overnight Stay Prior to Flight"
Living two hours drive from the airport we wanted a comfortable, affordable stay the night before flying. Our first room was incredibly hot as the thermostat on the window unit wasn't functioning. We called the desk and within minutes the manager brought us new keys to a room just down the hall. In addition to bringing us the keys to a new room, the […] desk staff was very helpful in finding us some plastic spoons late in the evening. Excellent customer service. The room was spacious, with a sitting area in addition to a king-sized bed. We appreciated the openable window as it was quite cool the night of our stay; we really enjoyed the fresh night air. Even though the motel is located next to I-29, and the airport, the sound from the highway was minimal, and we weren't aware of plane traffic at all. The shower head in the bathroom was very nice. The sheets were incredibly soft and the mattress nicely firm. Best of all they did away with the useless, stiff bedspread. Instead there was a nicely soft blanket. The pillow cases were embroidered "firm" or "soft" so you could choose, although we only had firms in our room. The only two complaints we have were the "flavor" of the provided liquid soap. Cinnamon is not a good choice. And the freezer section of the refrigerator badly needed defrosting. The included breakfast was good (no waffle machine) with a selection of hot and cold cereals, juice, milk, and pastries. Best of all it was just 5 minutes from the long term parking lot at the Kansas City airport. Lees meer
"Good Hotel"
This hotel is what you'd expect from a Holiday Inn. Can't say much else as I was only there for 5 hours before a flight.
"Rain"
It rained in our room. When it rained outside it rained on our TV. The strange part was that we were only on the 2nd floor. I took pics of the wet ceiling. The management did give us a new room and refreshments to boot.
"Better soundproofing needed"
Our room was on the first floor and you could hear the room above us every time they walked, took a shower and flushed the toilet. Other than that, it was a great hotel. Very clean and comfortable.
