We stayed for a sleepover to go shopping the next day. Kind of a dump.

I was apprehensive, due to several bad reviews, when I booked this hotel. The building is old, the corridor carpets are worn, but the rooms are fine. The 2 BR condo was roomy, with ample space to hang and store clothes. It was clean and in good condition. It was within ok walking distance from slopes, even for fairly small kids. The hot tubs got a bit crowded at evening time when everybody wanted in at the same time, there probably should have been another couple of hot tubs added to the property […] to satisfy the demand. The condo at D11-Valley Side (aka Crown Point) where we stayed is bigger and nicer than the photos indicate. It's very comfortable for daytime, with big comfy couches, two tables and a desk, plenty of storage room, and the fireplace is dreamy. This hotel is badly worn and poorly maintained. The stairways and hallway carpets were filthy and ragged. Virtually every hotel door was marred and scaped. This property is badly in need of a facelift.

The hotel was old and rundown.It was not near any place to eat.

We stayed at the Stratton resort for just a day and it was a very comfortable stay. The room had everything in it, cosy beds, heated well, full kitchen and a fireplace. I would go back to this resort again !

Beautiful complex...Older but maintained. Rooms need updated. One day did not get housekeeping service.

we had a beautiful condo the resort is and village are all encompassing so no need to leave and go off mountain unless you want to hit the outlet stores. THE MAIN HOTEL UNIT IS OLDER AND NOT NEARLY AS NICE AS THE CONDO UNITS. Would definitely stay again.

Need to check on road closings due to Tropical Storm Irene. GPS was useless. Locals know which roads are actually "closed" and which are passable. Resort was well worth the extra mileage to get there. Clean with restraurants and shops located right outside yur door.

The location of the resort is beautiful, but the condo we were provided was quite lacking in amenities. We had to carry luggage down a flight of steps to the front door and then up a flight to the condo. It was clean, but the beds were terrible. Each had a plastic mattress cover with a flat sheet on the bottom that slipped out into a wad when you made […] a move. The kitchen didn't even have salt and pepper and the four of us were provided with a coffee pot, but only enough coffee for two cups total. The trip to a store was 4 miles down the road. We stayed in a Vantage Point condo, which was great -- huge, clean, and quiet. The only drawback was the distance from the main hotel, where we checked in and ate dinner. The fog was so thick we could barely find our way around after dark. Otherwise, no complaints. I would recommend the condo, even for one night -- we felt like we were staying at a […] friend's house. We have stayed at a lot of hotels. The lobby and main areas were well kept up and inviting. The breakfast was very good, plentiful and appetizing however our room was tired. The bathroon paper was peeling, the toilet seat was worn and stained. Not what you would expect from a 3 star hotel. Because of the room quality I would not recommend this hotel […] to friends. Great little place. The rooms were well furnished with nice ammentities (washer, dryer, dishwasher). Would love to go during the winter for a ski vacation.

Yes, you read that right. For the price we thought we were staying at a great hotel at the foot of the mountain. Instead it looked like we were in a Howard Johnsons with a fireplace in the lobby. yes, freshly painted but not worth the price. Also, lots of families!

Overall, the experience was acceptable for the price. The inn definitely needs update. You can hear everything that goes on in the adjacent room. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Should have heeded the advice of the reviews I read before booking a room...room was out dated, and eerie....took remote to front desk because it didn't work, they were to send someone to reprogram it...we had dinner...hung out at the INN at Stratton because we didn't want to go back to the room...until 10pm when we ventured back...to no remote in the […] room...called it a night with the TV on so that we would have some light to scare anything away...got up early and were heading down the mountain by 9am....would not go back... This lodge was something out of a horror movie. It was filthy. The carpet fiber struggled to penetrate the dirt that appeared to have taken decades to collect. The lobby was dank and the odor was of abstestos and old lady breath. The rating of was an absolute lie and breach of trust. No ethical company would book a dog in this place. When we asked around […] town, all the locals were astonished to find out that the place was even open to guests and informed us that it had been used for employee housing for years and was the equivalent of a frat house frequently trashed and visited by police. We really enjoyed our stay at the Longtrail House North building. We got a room with a king, with its own full bath and two doubles. We really liked the fact that the refrigerator had an icemaker. The cabinets were stocked with pretty much anything we needed, forks, knives... We also found the large walk-in closet very useful, especially when we come […] back in 4 months and have snowboarding gear. The heated pool and hot tubs were GREAT and we spent quite some time in there with friends. The one downside was the pool closed at 10, which I feel, is somewhat early. My family has never been to VT and now we might go back! Stratton Mountain is a beautiful resort area and I highly recommend it. We had a 2 bedroom condo right off the main strip and were very comfortable. We have 2 small children and it was perfect, it had a yard & a deck that we didn't get to use but wanted to! The village of Stratton is a cute area […] with restuarants, shops and grocery. It was nice to know we had the option to pick up anything right by our condo. This is a ski resort, which I visited in the summer. Check in was smooth and quick. They had my reservation and there was no delay getting into my room....That, however, was what was unexepcted! I had thought I was reserving a hotel type room in their lodge...Imagine my surprise when I was directed to drive to my 2-bedroom ski condominium at the end […] of a cul-de-sac in a somewhat remote location...Being there on my own, this was a bit surprising and weird, as I had to return there late at night by car after a wedding function. However, the rooms were clean and pleasant, if totally underutilized during my one-night stay. Also note, internet was not available...Would recommend if you know what you're getting into...good for a longer term stay, and for a family, I'd say... Lees meer

Hotel is badly outdated - seemed like it was right out of 1975 and in need of repair.

Our room was in the Liftline Lodge, the most rundown part of this otherwise seemingly nice resort. The wall-to-wall carpet was loose and worn, and the entry door (with the kind of lock found on the average bathroom door) was very weathered. We had vacationed in Manchester many times and were completely unaware of Stratton Village being so close to Manchester. There are shops eateries and even live music. Sunday Mass was an inspiration. I would highly recommend this place.

it was a pleasant comfortable stay.the staff was great,the atmosphere was homey both from the staff and the other hotel patrons.the food was top notch.all in all a very enjoyable stay.

overall room was clean and secure,was there one night,clean bathroom and sheets,was there to sleep so it was good,continental breakfast was better than usual with fresh fruit salad among other items.

I picked this hotel based on price and proximity--my daughter and I were visiting colleges in Vermont--and while I misjudged a bit on proximity, the hotel, really a resort, was a very pleasant surprise. The room, including the beds, was super comfortable, and the location, on Stratton Mountain, was beautiful. The downside is that there were not many […] restaurants to choose from (probably because it was not ski season yet)and the hotel restaurant was a bit pricy, but the free breakfast was great, the resort charming, and the views lovely. The 'hotel' is a resort of privatly owned condos, which are rented out, therefore the quality is usally higher than common hotels. The reception desk is helpful and the condo is clean and of good quality. Please note that the address listed on the reservation is not correct, you need to go to the 'Stratton Inn'.
