Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort in Oranjestad

I spoke extensively with the hotels.com agent explaining that I wanted an ocean front or at least ocean view suite. Upon arrival, I found out there are no ocean front/view rooms there. We have stayed many many times at the Divi Village. My husband loves the golf, right on premises. Clean rooms overlooking ocean or golf. Great pools, restaurants. Great place to stay near everything.

We had a beautiful 2nd floor studio room (with kitchen, washer/dryer, patio) in the Condo "towers." They have little carts that ferry you around everywhere on the resort for free, but we were easily able to walk to the beach, restaurants, and supermarket as well. The dishwasher didn't work, but we didn't even notice until it was near the end of our […] stay. Hopefully they fix that for the next visitors. There is a better golf 18-hole golf course on the north end of Aruba, which is a $15-$20 taxi ride away. My husband played the 9-hole several times during our stay - basically because it was so convenient. But he much preferred the PGA course up north. There are multiple pools, but I preferred snorkeling across the beach ($10 to rent equipment right on the beach), and we tried snuba (a scuba/snorkeling combination) one day on a catamaran - Fantastic! There's a nice, reasonably priced restaurant called "Matthew's" near the Alhambra Casino. You can walk, from the Divi or take the shuttle. Have fun! Lees meer

We have stayed here 11times. Nicest place on island 2minutes to beach. Golf. Stores. Great dining 5 star vacation cant wait to go back in march

This Hotel is fully recomended for Rest, actually I was looking for more action, but i need to rent a car in oreder to get to the Malls in Oranjestad. However Me and my family fully enjoyed the Hotel it is amazing.

not happy with towels, comforters etc. left out in front of units and on the side walk. Looked like a ghetto. This was every day, right in front of where I parked my car.comforters were left out to dry also garbage. I was expecting more of an upscale area. not managed very well. As far as my reservation went. when I arrived I gave the girl at the front […] desk my confirmation number and she told me she could not find it in her computer. She asked me to print out my confirmation number. I told her it was the same number. It is almost impossible to find a computer with a printer. back in the car to find a computer and printer. I found a printer and printed out my confirmation number. It was the same as the number I gave her. She put me to all this trouble with my daughter and an infant just to have confirmation number printed on piece of paper. A miracle occurred when I gave her piece of paper with confirmation number, the same number gave her initially. Do you know what my frustration level was. Also they put us up on the3rd floor. 2 adults and one 16 month old. Schlepping luggage up and down 3 flights of stairs. There were plenty of rooms available. We did not know they did not have elevator. Who needs to do this on vacation. I think the Divi needs to train their staff and change management. Lees meer

The hotel rooms are indeed very well maintaned and confortable. I would definitely stay there again!!

We have stayed at the Divi Village many times. We love having our own kitchen and living area with a great deck overlooking ocean or pools or golf courses. this time it was over the golf course.

This is a nice resort if your looking for a quiet getaway. The staff and guest were friendly. The food was good. My only suggestion is the shuttle service could be improved. There are plenty of activities on the resort that you can join in. Its across the street from the beach. The beach was clean and there was plenty of space and lounge chairs for […] your convenience. Its located midway between the downtown area and the village area (the malls, movies & bars). Don't forget your camera. I have beautiful shots of birds, lizards, iguanas, the beach and the sunset. You have the option of all-inclusive. We opted not to go for it; however, in the future we will try it. We only cooked one breakfast and one dinner and it's not worth the trouble or expense of shopping and cooking on vacation. Lees meer

the whole place was 1st class, with a large pool set up and a very clean beach across a small road. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautifully decorated. There were several different bars and resturants and a casino on site. They had a free shuttle to take around the grounds. My room was average at best. Maid service is only provided on a Sunday and Thursday. If you want the maid to clean your room everyday you have to pay extra. Breakfast was buffet but the exact same thing everyday, no effort to change. Resturannts were average at best thou the service was good. Not worth the money to spend on food as there are far better […] resturants just 10 mins drive away. No internet in the rooms and only WiFi offered on this big property located at the Ocean Breeze Bar. Very slow and not consistant. All the guest knew of a trick to turn off the modem to rebot it as you would just get locked out after a while. Overall very average property that says it wants to give 5 star service but is very far from doing so. Lees meer

Great hotel with a great beach. was only there for 2 days but still a great experience. Stall was very accomodating and helpful. Wiuld definitely stay there again

This was our second trip to Aruba and the Divi. We thoroughly enjoyed the 1 bedroom suite which had plenty of room for our 3 kids. The pool at the golf villas was fabulous. Also, we enjoyed having the all-inclusive. Our room was very clean.

Had mold on the walls and a water leak from the ceiling, power outage for about 7 hours (No A/C, food in frig ruined, etc). Mold in shower and many tiles missing around the enclosure, making a hole into the wall full of moisture and mold. Kitchen cabinets had old food and grease all over them - most likely have never been cleaned. The bedding smelled […] of BO and had not been laundered in quite some time. Beach was close and was the only positive. I have stayed at the Divi before and the room prior to this visit was not this bad. Lees meer

This is a nice resort that is convenient to the beach as well as has a nice golf course. They have an "all inclisive option for $95/perperson that includes food and beverage plus golf that is a good deal if you want to stay close to the resort.

The location is great but we were put in the older section. There are many condition problems with the room we were in and I assume in the others as well. The problems are mostly visual and cosmetic. There was rust on the doors, paint that was in need of heavy duty touchup, broken tiles, and some repairs done that looked as if they were done as cheap […] and fast as possible. There were a couple of places in the bathroom that had been reputtied with a different color of putty and done poorly. It made me think that the resort was puting all of its money into the new buildings and just doing what was absolutely neccesary to the old buildings. That is a shame because the old buildings are very nice if kept up. Lees meer

Nice room, very clean. For the very reasonable price -- close to beach. Multiple pools and hot tubs, great bar locations good food, and in a great area of the island. Overall real great.

La calidad y el confort de las habitaciones es muy buena. En la playa podria tener un kiosco bar para bebidas y tragos ya queda distante.

Superou todas minhas expectativas, excelente custo benefício!!!

Hotel distante do centro da cidade e de Palm Beach, onde se encontram o centro de compras e os restaurantes. Ficou claro no hotel, que os americanos são privilegiados no atendimento.

Creo que hay que mejorar el lobby del hotel es muy pobre, comparado con el resto de las instalaciones del hotel, parece que fuese otro, de resto es lo suficiente por el precio del hotel.... habitacion comoda.....

ME GUSTA SENTIRME BIEN ATENDIDO

El precio de la estadia es poco para lo que se obtiene, muy buen hotel. Gigante en extensión y la atención es destacable, todos hablan 3 idiomas. la limpieza muy buena. Tiene Supermercado cerca y los carritos de golf te llevan sin costo lo más cercano posible. El unico detalle es que hay que cruzar la carretera para llegar a la playa, por lo demás es […] excelente, esa es mi opinión. Ahora, para la próxima vez me gustria el Divi Dutch dado que esta cerca de este y tiene la playa enfrente. Lees meer
