Extended Stay America Elizabeth - Newark Airport in Elizabeth

Location convient to airport and turnpike.

The hotel location was great for what i wanted but did not like being charged $5 for the hotel transportion to and from the airport, also the alarm clock in the next room went off at 5am but no one was in the room,i called the front desk and got and answering machine telling me it was after business hours,luckily it was not and emergency. Front Desk was pleasant and helpful. Room was nice but cheap shower head, TV and iron. Also, lighting in room on the darker side. Queen Bed comfortable. Room was clean, especially the bathroom. Overall, the stay was not bad.

but with the location near the airport, you get what you pay for. My first room smelled like smoke and the bed was rock hard, then i asked to be switched and they gave me a better room - didnt smell from smoke and bed was better. shower was great. i slept well. place seemed clean and bare bones.

I liked the area . but the rooms need to be updated, liked the T.V for one , the bed sheets hed stains on them ,as if the comferter was not changed out .

Used as a stop between DC and Boston. Just fine if you are there to stop and sleep. No restaurants in area other than fast food at mall across street. Not in a neighborhood where you want to take a stroll.

Just stayed for one night. I was in town for family event. Hotel served its basic purpose. Emergency basis for us booking this b/c other hotels were completely booked.

The hotel served the purpose when stranded in Newark.

This is a very convenient, but no-frills option for business travelers working in the Newark/Elizabeth Area, particularly the port area. Hotel is no frills (meaning no breakfast like you would expect from other Extended Stays, but does have a small kitchen). Hotel appears to be going through some renovation, and the first room we were assigned had a broken chair, and tub stopper (metal components) was dismantled. However, it did have a flat panel TV. The hotel had the worse of service ever, there are better hotels that surround it i would have rather gone there than stayed at the extended stay. And they do not really have late night service their suite are almost the same size as a regular room but with a small kitchen area attached to it nothing like the pictures shown on the internet.

The stay was fine. Liked the room, liked the staff, liked the lay out. I only had a issue with the pillow situation. The room had two pillows which is standard for any room. That would have been exceptable if it weren't my mate and I both. I asked for a few more pillows, 3 or 4 to be exact and was given one and told they couldn't gve me any more. First off, there is no shuttle at this airport hotel, "take a cab" is what they told me. No restaurant on premises but it has a kitchen so np. Until you realize there is no grocery store nearby to use the kitchen. It is near a mall, which is nice but kind of defeats the whole thing anyway. It is a very dirty place with alot of stains on carpets, etc […] so just be warned. Internet is $4.99 a day, all hotels around it include this and are cheaper rates. And yes, you do only get a small bar of soap in bathroom so bring your other supplies with you or buy at the mall. They were out of shampoo the day I was there. The tv you have to actually see to believe. It was actually smaller than my laptop screen size, lol!! You also need to bring your own hangars, they either don't provide them or the previous guest had a hangar fetish and stole them all. They did let me check out late (1 pm) which was nice so I stayed up late on my computer and then got woke up at 10am by the front desk asking, "You leaving today?" Yep, that's right, got woke up with 3 hours to go before checkout, asking me how fast I could get out of the room, haha It's funny now, but not when I got woke up. I realize this is a slam review. I'm not trying to be negative but I honestly couldn't find alot to praise. As a flight attendant for almost 20 years, I'm in hotels about 3-4 days a week and I have to say that this is the worst hotel I have EVER stayed at. This place wants to be a hotel. It's not. Not even a coat hangar in the room. I hope that they take some of my money and buy a vaccum cleaner. Also bring your own shampoo, non available there. The TV is right out of 1985. Screen size about 19" and no control over the volume. If you have any extra cleaning supplies at home bring them you are going to […] need them. Everything was clean and everyone was friendly. Just had to go to front desk for ashtray, shampoo and cream rinse. The TV was a bit on the old side.

The surroundings is probably the mayor draw back of this hotel. While there is an Outlet mall near by, this hotel is located at an industrial park. If you just want a place to sleep and don't plan to be out too late, this a good stay. It is very close to the airport, but I drove, so this did not add anything for me.

not bad for the money

The room I had was not very clean. There were stains everywhere and the bathroom looked as if it hadn't even been clean. The staff was rude and I hated leaving my room and anything of any significant value in it. I highly recommend that anyone traveling here stays at one of the other hotels in close proximity.

Staff at this hotel were great. I have stayed here several times and every time their staff is quite good... though limited. It certainly is a non-nonsense hotel but its always clean and tidy. One thing to keep in mind... they do not stock rooms with Shampoo - due to the "Extended Stay" nature I guess its seen as a waste?!? Anyhow, ask for some when […] you check in. excelente hotel, quarto com cozinha muito grande e equipada, silencioso, em frente a um shopping muito grande e varios restaurantes. tudo muito limpo so que só trocam as toalhas uma vez por semana no mais perfeito.

muy solo y los alrededores muy oscuros la verdad que no me gusto

O que mais me chamou a atenção, foi o fato de eu não ter sido informado ao contratar os serviços, que não haveria limpeza de quarto e nem disponibilidade de internet ou mesmo, de um computador, mesmo que pago, para se acessar a internet.
