Ligging.
Dit hotel ligt bij het congrescentrum in Rome en is een gezinsvriendelijke accommodatie, vlak bij Vaticaanse tuinen, Sint-Pietersbasiliek en Sixtijnse Kapel. In de buurt vind je ook Olympisch stadion en Vaticaanse musea.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Grand Hotel Tiberio heeft een buitenzwembad, een sauna en een fitnesscentrum. In openbare ruimtes is een draadloze snelle internetverbinding gratis beschikbaar, terwijl de accommodatie over een computer met internetverbinding beschikt. Dit hotel met 4 sterren beschikt over zakelijke voorzieningen waaronder een businesscentrum met 24/7 toegang, vergaderruimtes en een limousine- of autoservice. Dit hotel voor zaken biedt diverse eetgelegenheden, zoals een restaurant, een koffiebar/café en een bar/lounge. Elke ochtend wordt gratis ontbijt geserveerd. Het personeel kan op verzoek hulp bij excursies/tickets, een huwelijksservice en een cateringdienst voor evenementen regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een seizoensgebonden buitenzwembad, een dakterras en een conciërgebalie. Gasten kunnen gratis gebruikmaken van vervoer zoals een lokale shuttlebus binnen een radius van 3 km en van een shuttlebus van en naar het pretpark. De accommodatie beschikt over speciaal daarvoor bestemde rookruimtes. De volledige renovatie van deze accommodatie werd in januari 2011 voltooid.

Grand Hotel Tiberio heeft 91 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een minibar en een kluis. Gasten hebben een gratis draadloze internetverbinding op de kamer. Elke televisie heeft kanalen via satelliet en betaalfilms. Elke accommodatie biedt een bureau, een gratis krant en een telefoon met directe buitenlijn. Elke badkamer is voorzien van een bad/douchecombinatie, een bidet, make-up/scheerspiegels en een föhn.
Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een koffiezetapparaat/waterkoker en openslaande ramen. Bovendien kun je op verzoek gebruikmaken van voorzieningen zoals massagebehandelingen op de kamer, badjassen en een telefonische wekdienst. Een turndownservice wordt elke avond aangeboden terwijl een huishoudservice dagelijks beschikbaar is.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag in rekening worden gebracht.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.

's Werelds kleinste land, Vaticaanstad, wordt gedomineerd door de Sint Pieterskerk, de grootste kerk van het Christendom. Michelangelo's nederige 'Pietà' en zijn fresco's in de Sixtijnse Kapel behoren tot 's werelds beste kunstwerken. De Aurelio ontleent zijn naam aan de oude Via Aurelia, de hoofdweg die Rome met Spanje verbindt, en die handig is om de bezienswaardigheden van de stad te bezoeken.

Prima hotel, ligt in een rustige buurt van Rome, gemakkelijk te bereiken met de trein (station Appiano), dan van Valle Aurelia verder met de metro naar alle bezienswaardigheden van Rome. Het hotel zag er mooi en netjes uit, ook de kamers en badkamer. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Zeker een aanrader voor een volgende keer.
"Prettig hotel, wel wat ver uit centrum"
Net hotel, met goede voorzieningen. Tijdens verblijf wel rumoerig omdat achter het hotel de overkapte treinbaan werd opgeknapt. Verder rustige buurt. Kamer was niet groot, maar wel alles erbij. Alles prima schoon en goede kamerservice. Zakelijke, prettige en correcte medewerkers. Ontbijt is fantasieloos, en zeker voor Italiaanse begrippen stelt het […] (te) weinig voor. Hotel ligt eigenlijk net iets te ver uit centrum, zeker als je later in de stad wil of moet blijven. Wel redelijke openbaar vervoer voorzieningen. Slecht punt was dat er geen informatieboekje over het hotel was zodat je voor ieder vraagje contact moet opnemen met de receptie. Het zwembadje bij het hotel was vies en gereserveerd voor de kikkers, stelde ook verder weinig voor. Op het dakterras – ook ‘s avonds – is het wel lekker en rustig zitten. Saai, zakelijk, te ver van centrum in oninterressante buurt. Zelfs junior suite had geen charme en keiharde matras. Ontbijt is fantasieloos.

I have stayed at this hotel before and was very disappointed that the wonderful and friendly service that I received during my previous stay was no longer there. The hotel is alright but I would not give it a 4 star rating.

1: The receptionist wiped my iPhone trying to connect it to their wi-fi. I lost everyhting; contacts, emails, apps, photos, music. Some I can't replace ever again; 2: The breakfast was not 4 star: coffee and "juice" from a machine (not fresh), eggs from a liquid (again not fresh), poor quality meats, and a service which was rushed and unfriendly; 3: […] The driver from the hotel was rude. He drove aggressively, argued and shouted at other road users, complained when we asked to go to the final scheduled stop, and leaped out of the minibus before it had stopped; 4: The location is terrible. It's a good 30 minute walk to the Vatican, and miles from the ancient city. There are no restaurants nearby, so you are stuck using the hotel's own restaurant; 5. The Hotel was being renovated, and we were woken each morning at 7am to the sounds of drills and cement mixers; 6: Summed up - expensive and aweful. Lees meer

We stayed in Rome 5 nights and the hotel is in a residential area about 20 minute walk from the Vatican. The hotel had a shuttle that would drop you off at the vatican or near city center. There was also a city bus stop at the corner that was easy to take as well. Breakfast was more than adequate for us. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was good, staff was decent. The restaurant in the hotel is subpar at best. Granted breakfast was free, we had dinner there on one night of our stay and the food was pricey and not the least bit tasty. A nice hotel, the staff was good the food was good. We had a problem with our shower and when the staff was notified the problem was solved when we arrived back at the hotel. No nightlife in the area. Hard to find any bars, or clubs within walking distance after 2100 hrs. A long way from any sights, they do have a shuttle which helps.

We recently stayed at the Grant Hotel Tiberio for a week. Unfortunately, our 87 year old mother fell touring one of the sites while we were in Rome. The hotel provided a wheelchair for her to use while we were there free of charge. The bathrooms and rooms were spotless. The cleaning ladies and front desk personnel were cheery, helpful, and efficient. […] The morning breakfast was the same each day but plentiful. "Too far from center city"
Breakfast was good, place was affordable, bed was nice, hotel was clean....it just was not close enough to what we wanted to see. An FYI for anyone looking at this hotel - yes, it is close to Vatican City - but that is it! All of the other must-see-Rome locations are a trek.
"England rugby"
A good hotel not too far from Stadio Olympico...we walked back after the game! However connections to downtown need mastering! I suggest using the metro from Cipro and walking up the hill. Service was good and rooms suitable for a 4 star hotel. Enjoy!

Everything well organized, friendly staff, wonderful food. Not too far from the city, and the free shuttle bus is very convinient. Highly recommend this to everybody.

At first glance its a really nice Hotel for the price I managed to get it for and it pretty much lived up to that right the way through. It is a small distance away from the major attractions (it is near the Vatican) but the bus is very near and easy to use. The staff at this hotel are exceptional, they are helpful and friendly. Hotel itself is nice and comfortable. It is a little bit out of town but has a free shuttle bus which was great.

Clean, comfortable, beautiful. We had a 2BR suite with balcony, overlooking the quaint Roma(ntic) neighborhood. In addition to the free breakfast in the dining room before we set out to tour Rome, we went to the grocery around the corner for a couple bottles of wine, some cheese, crackers, olives and fruit for an evening snack on the rooftop terrace. […] You can see St. Peter's lighted dome in the distance looking over the neighborhood. We stayed in this hotel not too far from Vatican. The hotel is clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. Transport links are excellent and the hotel is good value for money. You can reach this hotel by train from Airport saving lot of taxi money. We took a one week public transport pass that is valid on metro, train and bus in Rome. The hotel provides […] unlimited breakfast 'continental' but we managed lunch and dinners from local takeaway (5 minutes by walk) and city restaurants. I strongly recommend this hotel. the hotel was quite nice with respect to service, cleanliness, etc. The rooms are clean and nice, though a bit smaller than what you see online. The only major drawback is the location since there's not much to do in the immediate neighborhood. Its a 20 min walk to the vatican and the bus-stop and train station are less than a minute away. After spending time in Rome, not sure weather you would find better for the money but give it a shot. Room was small, the toilet barely flushed, bed was rock hard(like the rest of Italian beds)Not sure one can do better in Rome for the price as I'm sure alot of places have plumbing issues there. That being said, it's pretty close to Vatican city. Lobby […] is nice and clean, so was the room. Do yourself a favor and skip the free breakfast. I tried everything and it was terrible. I let the meat fall out of my mouth as I chewed. Worst meal in Italy bar none. At least the cereal was ok. Not sure what else rome has to offer for the price but it seemed like a 2-3 star hotel. We had a great stay at the Azzi. The room was pretty small but you can get an upgrade room. good aircon and shower. Service was excellent with very kind staff. Place was very clean. Location excellent. Highly recommend.

good if you're pretty self-sufficient Pro's: - Room was very good. A lot of room considering the european standard. - Has a small but workable swimming pool (kid sized, not lap size). small workout room with about 6 machines. - Location was pretty good. not in the center of everything, but 20 minute walk from the vatican museum. it's right beside one […] of the train lines and by the 990 bus line. - free internet. con's: service was pretty poor. - no ice machine. get it from the bar, which is open from about 7pm-12pm. and then in small bowls. - shuttle service has room fro about 6 people only. essentially it's always booked unless you plan several days in advanced. - shuttle to airport only 3x / day. - service folks are minimally helpful at best. giving poor/incomplete/wrong information at worst. other: - breakfast was included. was a small selection. only eggs and bacon were hot. everything else was cold stuff. We stayed only one night after our cruise. It was a lovely hotel and provided four single beds for my husband and me and our two grandsons. The beds were harder than we are used to, but not so much that we couldn't sleep. This is a beautiful hotel that more than met our expectations and the complimentary breakfast was fabulous. It was difficult to get […] to the city center on the metro, so if you are staying for some time and want to see the sights of Rome, this might not be a good location unless you use a taxi which can get to be quite expensive. The hotel does have a shuttle (not free) but doesn't run often or late. Since most hotels in Rome are equipped for only two guests, this was a great choice for us. "Lovely hotel"
The hotel, when travelling from airport, seemed quite far out but once we got used to the train times/bus we realised we were actually quite near everything! The receptionist working when we arrived was very friendly, and we had no trouble with any of the staff when we were there. The restaurant isn't great we ate out most nights, breakfast was lovely […] though a nice choice -- something for everyone. This was a very nice hotel, worth returning to. They had a fabulous courtesy breakfast buffet. It is in a residential neighborhood that doesn't look so good, but was no threat. "Extremely good value for the money"
Great hotel, comfortable rooms, good breakfast, and very good staff. Only downside is that it's a bit far from the center of town BUT it's well within walking distance to the Roma Metro or the FR3 train.

This hotel is close by to ther vatician city and other areas. Just five minutes away to train station and bus goes in front of the hotel. The breakfast buffet with marginal - poor selection compared to other hotels we've stayed in Italy. The mattresses were hard, almost like sleeping on a cot. However, the front desk associate gave us a recommendation for a restaurant which was the finest dining we had in all of Italy. The hotel staff is friendly and professional!

I found the staff very helpfull (as long as you do not ask too many questions). Location was okay, but the area I found little bit busy for my taste. Although, you are able to find your way around comfortably.
Umberto, our concierge, was very helpful! He recommended plenty of great restaurants, called taxis for us, told us where to go and what to do. Overall we had a great experience. This Hotel was way off the beaten path. You would have to take the bus and the Metro to get to the Vatican, which is not the way it appeared in the write up of the hotel. The staff were not exceptionally friendly and the wait staff were not up to par either. I would not go back.
