Prima Hotel ligt 10 minuten lopen van Duomo/centrum en is qua locatie goed te noemen. Kamer en ontbijt (in prijs prima). Parkeren (als je met de auto komt) is 35 euro per dag. Bij ontbijt de mogelijkheid je specifieke kop koffie te bestellen (bijv. expresso, cappacino, etc.). Kamers zijn confortabel, veel keuzes ook op TV. Carlyle Brera Hotel ligt midden in de wijk Brera 100 meter van het metrostation Moscova, erg handig. De wijk Brera is een hippe kunstzinnige wijk vol met boetiekjes, designwinkels, kleine restaurantjes en mooie straten. De Duomo is 10 minuten lopen net als het (toeristische) centrum. Corso Como( mooiste winkelcentrumpje van Italie) is twee minuten lopen […] en daar is 's avonds in de buurt van alles te beleven. De service van de receptie is erg goed. Ze hebben ons meerdere leuke restaurants aangewezen en het ontbijt was perfect. Bij het uitchecken mochten wij de koffers nog een dag laten staan. De kamers zijn klein maar ontzettend schoon. Geen romantisch hotel maar hygiene en locatie vind ik belangrijker. Minpunt: De liften zijn erg claustrofobisch en klein en werken niet altijd goed. Maar verder zou ik zo terug gaan. We stayed at the Carlyle Brera for single night, and it was a great relief to reach such a nice hotel after a long drive to Italy. I have 3 kids, including a toddler,, so finding lodging for our family that doesn't involve two separate rooms isn't always easy. This hotel had us in adjoining rooms beyond a single entrance and seperated by a small foyer, […] which was perfect. My husband and I enjoyed a private room without compromising security. Each child had real bed, no pull-outs or cribs. The bathrooms were modern, with great water pressure and endless hot water. The hotel is steps away from the metro, and the major attractions of Milan are VERY close on foot. Even with smaller kids, we got to the Duomo in 15 - 20 minutes, and saw many top attractions in a single afternoon. It is also just a couple of blocks to the Corso Como. The hotel is in an art district/university area, so there is plenty of nightlife, and restaurants, shopping, etc. There was some noise from the street into the late hours, but nothing major. Parking and breakfast were fine, a great buffet with scrambled eggs, meats, breads, cereals, fruit and a variety of beverages. The staff is also top notch, so polite and helpful - they directed us to everything we wanted to see and even offered to make any reservations we needed for us. The beds were a little hard and the pillows saggy, we found extras in the closet which helped. The rooms have safes/minibars, everything was tidy and secure. There were certain things I like about this hotel, including a good breakfast that was included in the room charge, location of hotel being central, overall maintenance and cleanliness of the hotel, helpful hotel staff and free wi-fi internet access. nice hotel in nice neighbourhood with very good breakfast to italian standards

Very good hotel. It has a bathtub. Modernized and clean room. Location is also very good. Walking to Duomo and downtown takes 15 minutes. If you bring your car, be ready to pay 35 euros per day for parking. I spent some time to find a metered parking in the street. Anyway, it helped me to enjoy the city, Milan.

Great hotel. Have made it my regular, first choice in Milan for about 8 years now.

Overall for the price, this was a great hotel. It was easy to get to by metro (just a few seconds to walk to the entrance to the metro), and 15 minute walk to the duomo. Breakfast buffet was excellent, a wonderful selection of hot and cold items, fruit, cheese, yogurt, eggs, etc. I would recommend this hotel to other travelers.

The hotel is up to date, well fashioned and pleasantly staffed. The front desk is helpful with directions and maps and the underground subway is 30 yards away from the front door. Location is good as there are places to eat and bars around. My only complaint is the beds are not very comfortable. Hard and flat, was a headache. The hotel was close to a really cute part of town and the metro, the hotel lobby and our room were clean and bright, The breakfast buffet was really nice. Staff we encountered were all polite and helpful. The one downside - the beds were pretty hard, and the pillows were worse. But for the two nights I stayed there, it was still a good choice.

Nice hotel close to many sights and very close to the eating and nightlife area. We didn't do the nightlife stuff but enjoyed the many restaurants. The hotels breakfast is good and you can fill up easily. The Duamo is about 15 min walk at a easy pace. The staff were courteous and helpful. Overall we liked it and would stay there again.

The Carlyle hotel is a better than average european hotel. Bed was comfortable, sky tv, good hot water pressure. Although a bit slow, the free WiFi was usable. The breakfast is okay but nothing spectacular. Eggs, sausage, breads, cheese, cereal, coffee and juice. Only one bad note comes to my mind...no iron available. There is laundry service that will […] be returned to you by 1800 if turned in by 0900. The location of the hotel is only a few steps from the metro. About 10 minutes to Central Station via metro. I had been in Assago on business, but relocated to the Carlyle Brera for my last night in Milan (October 22, 2011) so I could do some sightseeing. Such an improvement over where I was staying! I could see the hotel immediately upon exiting the Metro station at Moscova. My room even had it's own balcony. It was an easy walk to the Duomo, the La Scala […] Opera House, all kinds of shopping, restaurants, pubs, even a comic book store. And there was enough activity in the neighborhood that as a single woman walking around, I did not feel unsafe. My room wasn't quite ready when I arrived at 11:00am (check-in time is officially 2pm), but they kept my luggage for me and took it up to my room so it was waiting for me when I got back around 3pm. The staff spoke English, though there were not overly friendly - they were courteous. The hotel bar was a little sad, but there is so much to do around the hotel that that wasn't a huge concern. The internet connection was a little sketchy, and I couldn't get the TV to show regular channels (not pay-per-view Sky channels), but I wasn't actually in the room very much so it was fine. I would highly recommend staying here, but if you do, take advantage of the pillow menu - the ones that come standard in the room are like bricks. Lees meer

The hotel was not close to the airport or train station, but a nice central location for walking to the Duomo, shopping, and the Castle. A safe area. The desk staff was very helpful - one person highlighted a good walking tour route on a map for me, which was great. The breakfast was included in my rate and quite good.

The people in the restaurant or bar or whatsoever on the street near the hotel shouted, sang songs, screamed and over-enjoyed over night, actually until past 6am. We closed the window and the shutter but the level of the noise was unacceptable.

the hoel is situated within walking distance of the main tourist and shopping districts around the Duomo yet ideally located in the Brera district with an abundance of restaurants bars and shops. rooms comfortable (dont forget to check their pillow menu for extra comfort) and breakfast excellent.

Had booked this hotel based on positive reviews that had been posted by others and can confirm that this is an excellent choice and deserves the 4 star rating. Very helpful and professional staff. Extremely clean and comfortable room. (I had booked a single room and was upgraded to a double without asking.) Hotel is recently updated with contemporary […] finishings. Excellent buffet breakfast which is included. Good location - 5 minutes from quaint historic area with cobblestone streets and pedestrian areas and about 10-15 minutes from Duomo, Galleria and main shopping areas. Pro's - Location, Hotel Staff excellent, Room facilties, good breakfast. Con's - Absolutely None

Whilst the facilities were somewhat tired the level of service and helpfulness of the satff were excellent.

Surly check-in staff didn't give a great 1st impression. And the room was dark and uninspiring - however this is a perfectly good hotel in a good location, just 20 seconds from the entrance of Moscova metro station. Close to bars and restaurants for good al fresco eating & drinking in pedestrian streets like Viale Como etc. Good breakfast will suit […] all tastes. Wifi is not perfect (drops the connection on a regular basis), but still good enough for work purposes. So - not perfect, indeed not inspiring - but a good location to stay in Milan. Lees meer

A very fine location, close to good restaurants and bars. Walking distance to the Duomo and other places of interest. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we would absolutely recommend this hotel. This hotel is located in an excellent location if you are looking to travel in any area of Milan. I am a female and was traveling along and felt very safe here. Subway station is at the corner. The hotel is tucked just off of the main street and thus remains quiet. The room (i had the double with 2 twin beds) is very clean, well lit,though basic. the […] bathroom is a good size for europes standards, but again, very clean. hair dryer available. Staff was very,very helpful. I didn't have the breakfast, so don't know much abou that. But if you are looking for a great deal in a convenient location that's comfortable, this would be great. We stayed 2 nights in Milan and was very pleased with Carlyle Brera Hotel. The rooms were nice and comfortable and the staff was fairly friendly. Would stay again.

A few steps from the Moscova metro stop, and a short walk to the Brera Pinoteca, Parco Sempione, Cimitero Monumentale, and the Duomo/la Scala, the Carlyle Brera is in a great location. Breakfast included many options and was served in the comfortable mezzanine overlooking the lobby with large windows to the street. Concierge staff was helpful and friendly […] without overdoing it, and spoke English. There are outdoor restaurants within a couple of blocks in all directions, including a reasonably priced glass of wine with the "happy hour" buffet directly across the street. Bicycles are available at the corner. Bed was nice and firm, and water pressure in the shower was great. Would definitely stay here again. Lees meer

The Carlyle Brera is very nice and in a good location in that it is right next to the Muscova Metro stop on the Green line right in the middle of downtown. We did not use the Metro because we were tired of lugging our bags up and down steps. The cab ride from the airport was only 13 Euros. The neighborhood is nice and there is a very nice park two blocks […] away. Getting to the Duomo, however was a good 15-20 minute brisk walk however contrary to what some of the reviews say. Good location for accessing the city centre without being right among it. Very friendly and helpful staff. Relatively easy to get to either Malpensa or Linate - we needed both. It makes you feel like home.... the rooms are perfect size and very clean.they have a pillow menu, so that says a lot! the bathroom could be a bit larger but its great! breakfast is wonderfull. location couldn't be easier. its just out a metro station. the area is very safe and with a lot of restaurants to enjoy.

This hotel was very convenient to the metro. It is a bit of a walk from the sites and decent restaurants. The room is a bit on the stuffy side and the view is not much to write about.

Location is fantastic. however, room size is crazy tiny that it allows only 1 person to walk arround ( yes my room type is single room but...space is very little to move arround for thinner me) ..which disappointed me.

Overall a very nice place to stay, but due to the tile floors in the rooms, I think they should post a notice asking women to take off their high heels when they enter. It is difficult to sleep with that sound overhead. When I asked about transportation to the airport, the concierge said that if I took a taxi they would probably add on extra charges […] so I would be better of with a car service even though it was 10 EU more. However, he did not bother to tell me that there would be an additional 10 EU if I paid with a credit card. By the time I found out I was at the airport and had little recourse. Lees meer

The hotel is in a very good location, but for me, didn't meet expectations. If you have a child, don't think about it. No baby chairs for breakfast, door handles that are easily opened by toddlers, etc. Was it terrible, no, but it didn't meet expectations either.

WiFi did not work very well in the room. All else was good.
