Park Inn Heathrow in Londen

This hotel is almost like a dormitory (lots of little rooms). But it is convenient to airport, it's clean, breakfast is good and there is an electric kettle in the rooms for a quick cup of tea in the morning,. I have stayed in six different hotels on Heathrow layovers. This will be the one I return to on my next European adventure.

The hotel is clean, rooms are well appointed, staff is friendly and helpful. Charge for breakfast quite steep--and no a la carte option, only an all-or-nothing buffet. Charge for internet is 10 pounds for 24 hours which is quite outrageous when most people are staying one night coming in/out of Heathrow and only need an hour or so to check e-mails. […] But there is no option for a shorter time as is normal in the few places that still charge for internet acceess at all. Arrived on a very cold day to find the air con unit would not fire up and the TV remote was not working. Housekeeping supplied a new remote within 20 minutes but that still didn't work. Maintenance were to be called to attend to the TV also the Air Con. Expensive!!!, especially for parking, internet access and food. In general, the hotel had a 'tired' feeling, with room/toilet/HVAC maintenance leaving something to be desired.

I always try and stay @ Park Inns when I can. Great airport hotel and very convenient

The AA must have been bought and paid for to class this dump worthy of four stars. There are no restaurants just a poorly prepared and badly staffed carvery and an equally crappy cafe. There is nothing positive to say about place, just terrible. As embarrassing as Heathrow.

Frequent shuttle buses to Heathrow and local buses to the local tube station, make this very convenient. Very friendly staff. Room air conditioning wasnt working, couldn't open window more than a few inches for fresh air. Not too loud from planes taking off in the distance. Well set up for the traveller in transition.

Reserved twin non smoking room but was allocated double smoking! I would have changed it but had already waited 20 minutes in reception. Food very average in quality and expensive.

The room was nice and the bed very comfortable. Bathroom nice. It appeared the cleaning of the room was not completed b/c there was a portable bed in the room, the tv was still on, and the tea/coffee was not refilled. The bartender was unpleasant and borderline rude. He charged us an automatic 10% tip on each drink. Being an American, we always tip, […] however, we expect to be greeted, at the very least, before we are charged a mandatory tip. Unfriendly unsmiling very very slow reception, incompetent concierge, no computer leads although promised, cramped room,out dated decor, expensive parking, expensive to get to from airport, awful view from room oh and slow and unfriendly again on check out next morning. Ghastly experience.

Large, clean, soundproof room at a low price; frequent bus service to terminals. All-you-can-eat buffet pricey if you're not hungry, but a la carte bar menu OK.

This hotel is fine, although not necessarily worth the prices they quote. The rooms are teeny, at least the one we had was, my husband said his dormroom was bigger! Didn't eat in the restaurant, just the bar, and the food was average bar food (i'm from the UK, so familiar with what is good, bad or indifferent). However, if you're hungry, there is a […] great "open all hours" type market just round the corner to the left of the hotel and it has a little indian deli counter in it. We got some chicken korma, samosas and a naan bread, coupled it with a bottle of wine (mostly screw tops in the UK, very convenient) and took it back to the room for a picnic on the bed. Overall, if all you need is a bed for the night to be closer to the airport, then this fits that description. Lees meer

For a 4 star 900 room hotel which was full, only two check-in clerks to serve arriving bus loads was not acceptable. Room was fine except for being way too hot and no air conditioning. Not acceptable.

hotels.com ought to think twice about having this hotel on their list. Take it off! We were sent to 4 different rooms before we settled in for a night. The carpeting in the hallways is dingy, the rooms are old and tired. We had been traveling for 15 hours and just wanted to sleep. For our family of 4 we were told that there is room for us in a "family" […] room, two queen beds and a sleeper sofa. Ha! Not so. I ordert a bottle of plonk to be delieverd to my room. This did not happen and rewend my supprice for my girlfriend. I had to chase, there reason was that they never had my card details, but a simple phone call to me would have resolved the problem. I was also not happy that all ahd a 10% service charge. Bloody cheek i think.

even though this hotel is very close to the airport (T1-3), one still needs to catch shuttle bus to and from the terminal. So, the location does not make it any better than the other 4 star hotels.

I'm trying out all the hotels on Bath Road. So far I stayed at Radisson Edwardian, Renaissance and most recently, Park Inn. I'd say the Park Inn is the most cost effective and liveliest with a evening bar but it's also a very busy hotel with coach loads of tourists and a lot of families and kids running around. I stayed on two occasions, the first […] for two nights and the second, a week later for one night. The second time around, I was put in a disabled room but after pointing out they should leave this type of room for disabled people, they were very quick (~20 minutes) to give me a new room. One of the barmen in the evening, doesn't look up - even when he's standing in front of you and facing your direction - so don't expect them to acknowledge or serve you unless you have a pair of breasts. The DJ is awful so I couldn't stay too long to be ignored. Two of the other barmen are very professional and deserve to be tipped. The staff are very, very friendly and helpful and if you can put up with a bit of noise from kids running through the corridors, then this is a cost effective hotel which I'd recommend. Lees meer

I checked in and the service was very slow... the lobby was very nice with a nice bar andd fresh and new like shown on the website, however when we got out of the lobby the hotel was nasty, dirty and very old and worn out. IThe room I was given was disgusting. I went back to the lobby and upgraded to the new wing at extra cost and it was a little better, […] but I asked for non smoking and they gave me smoking and I asked for two beds and they gave me two beds pushed together? I use the Park Inn whenever I fly from Heathrow. I take the Hotel Hoppa bus that comes outside the baggage terminal and serves the airport hotels. Very convenient. The hotel has an upgrade available that I would really recommend - nicer room, free wireless, breakfast and a movie were included at my last visit. I really like this hotel.

The hotel was busy and difficult to book into due to a large group being booked in at the sametime. The hotel seems to cater for groups of travellers (due to location next to Heathrow) rather than individuals or families booking in. The restaurant was busy for breakfast - but there was no waiting and food was ok - expensive if it had not been included […] in the room rate. The evening room service was very expensive for what it was. The swiming pool was good and was the highlight of the weekend for my 3 year old daugther. Would I stay again? - probably not, if I stayed in that area again I would want to try another of the chains for a change- not because I was unhappy. If you stay in this part of London it is difficult to find a decent hotel f you go too far away from Heathrow as some of the hotels in Hounslow can be dire in comparasion. Lees meer

hotel is close to airport with a convenient hoppa and the room was clean, functional and well kept, but the hotel overall is showing signs of wear. The buffet breakfast was expensive (to be expected in London) but should have been better with more and fresher options, given the cost.

Last minute changes in flight required reserving accomodations quickly. Park Inn met all my needs. The Airporter bus was very convenient and easily accessable to the hotel from the airport. Being so close to the airport, I was impressed at how quiet and spacious the rooms were. Our room was is the very far end of the hotel. The concierge was not helpful, and almost rude. There were very helpful staff at the desk and the cleaning attendant was also very courteous and helpful. However, during the volcanic ash cloud problems, the hotel raised our room rate for renewal just to take advantage of the situation. We were able to find […] a nice hotel with a great free breakfast just a little outside of London, and were very glad to get out of there. The goods: - Short ride to Heathrow - Clean, acceptable room - Affordable rate - Decent pub across the street for food, etc. The bads: - Obscenely expensive breakfast (only option was to get full buffet, and with exchange rate in December 2009, came out to more than a fancy dinner per person back in USA) - Only one alternative dining option nearby- […] pub across street- doesn't open 'til noon - Closed business center and associated computers when there was a party at the hotel- don't "count on" it being open when you need it. Have stayed near other Heathrow airports before but this one was a surprise. The room was clean, bed comfortable, shower good. Downstairs had a bar with food available & a full restaurant that served the breakfast buffet which was good & plentiful. Saturday night, restaurant stayed open until 10:30pm which was convenient. Hotel Hoppa (shuttle transport […] to & from airport) took around 30-40 mins from airport (stopping at other hotels & terminals) but about 15 minutes going back to terminal the next day. It was far away from terminal 4 and the hotel bus only goes to terminal 1, 2, 3 or 5...leaving 4 out. There was a roach crawling up the wall when we woke up. There were only two very small pillows on a Queen bed. And no plug in the bathroom or near the desk mirror. Generally a nice hotel, convienently located to airport, modern facility, services was good. Downside is the bar at night, which has non-guests partying there, and we had a guy throwing up in the lobby the night we were there and rescue had to be called. Not know how long it would take us to get to the airport with London traffic, we decided to stay close to the airport the night before we left. The hotel is very contemporary in design and our room was very clean and comfortable. Our traveling companions had an older room and the air conditioning didn't work very well. For a short overnight stay the hotel was perfect

We have stayed at the Park Inn a number of times and have seen the renovations taking place. It is clear that not all areas have had the same high standards as others. Our shower had a bit of mold/mildew and the tv would randomly shut itself off. We stay at the Park Inn before returning to the US and find it ideal for an overnighter. The location does […] not afford much variety as it is right by the airport so if you want to eat outside the hotel, the closest option is a Pub across a very busy street.
