Wij hebben 4 nachten verbleven in dit prima hotel. Centraal gelegen vlakbij de Navypier en maar twee blocks gelegen van Michigan avenue!! Op loop afstand te doen! Het Hotel heeft ruime kamers en is schoon! Het ontbijt kost $ 18,-.p.p Wil je dit niet? dan is er direct naast het Hotel een bagle store waar je volop kunt kiezen, en een stuk goedkoper! Ook het personeel bij de lobby zijn zeer behulpzaam en de portiers erg vriendelijk! Al met al voor ons een leuke tijd en raden dit zeker anderen aan!
Ligging.
Sofitel Chicago Water Tower ligt in het centrum van Chicago, op loopafstand van Hancock Tower en Chicago Water Tower. In de buurt bevinden zich ook Tribune Tower en Wrigley Building.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Dit hotel in luxe stijl biedt diverse eetgelegenheden, zoals een restaurant en een bar/lounge. Een draadloze internetverbinding is gratis beschikbaar in openbare ruimtes. De zakelijke voorzieningen bij deze accommodatie met 4,5 sterren zijn onder andere een businesscentrum, een vergader-/conferentieruimte en een limousine- of autoservice. Het personeel kan op verzoek evenementencatering, hulp bij excursies en een geldwisselkantoor regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een fitnesscentrum, een conciërgebalie en een bibliotheek. Parkeerruimte is tegen betaling beschikbaar, maar beperkt.
Hotelkamers.
Sofitel Chicago Water Tower heeft 415 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van kluisjes in de kamer (ook geschikt voor laptops) en een minibar. Elke 32-inch lcd-televisie wordt geleverd met kanalen via kabel/satelliet en betaalfilms. Elke accommodatie beschikt over een bureau, een gratis weekkrant en een telefoon met meerdere lijnen met voicemail. Gasten hebben gratis draadloos internet op de kamer. Elke badkamer is voorzien van een afzonderlijk bad en een afzonderlijke douche, designer toiletartikelen en make-up-/scheerspiegels. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een kluisje op de kamer en een haardroger. Daarnaast zijn op verzoek voorzieningen beschikbaar zoals hypo-allergeen beddengoed en een telefonische wekdienst. Een turndownservice is elke avond beschikbaar en een huishoudservice dagelijks.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag in rekening worden gebracht.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.

My stay was supurb. I couldn't have asked for better accomodations. From the front door staff to the front desk staff and also room service and cafe staff. "Perfect Getaway"
We greatly enjoyed staying at the Sofitel. Being Francophiles anyway, it was nice to hear "Bonjour" every morning, even with a Chicago accent.

"Great Service!"
This is a great place to stay in Chicago! The hotel room and staff were top notch. The bed is so comfortable! We found the location to be perfect. The only downside was the price of drinks at the hotel bar but that is the case at most hotels. We will be staying here again. Hopefully soon!

Second stay, and I enjoyed it even more. The room is very pleasing and the quality of service is excellent. Great choice of breakfast at the Cafe des Architects.

"Sofitel - nice but strange smell"
The location and building is amazing. The room had a musty weird smell to it. We asked to change to another room, and after much back and forth, we were given another room, smaller, that had the SAME smell. So maybe it's a problem in the whole hotel.

The hotel was beautiful BUT hotel worker knocked on my door 4 x in 24 hours.. I think that was a lot.
for such a high end hotel, rooms were standard hotel fare. small, a bed and a desk and a chair.

"Quality and excellent location in Chicago"
I took my two children (ages 14 and 11) to Chicago for their Spring Break vacation. The hotel, its staff, and its location were excellent for us. The area was very clean and safe, and we had easy access to downtown locations and transportation. I will definitely return for future visits!

"Sofitel Chicago - lovely hotel off Rush Street"
The room was comfortable and very nicely appointed, with a huge bathroom. It was very close to Michigan Avenue and really convenient for meetings in River North. Also never had trouble getting a taxi when I was in a hurry.
High quality hotel locate in the heart of the Chicago downtown. Very luxury feel, good service and very clean

"Sofitel Chicago"
Nice location, great shopping and residential area. Hotel placed us on 6th floor out of 31 and in a handicapped room, with a view of a roof below. When I requested a change of room I was told changing was not an option. For the price (a suite) I would not stay there again.

We loved this hotel. I am very impressed and will try and stay at others in various other cities. The location is great - tucked off Michigan Avenue and with great views of the Hancock Building only a block or two away. "Stay at Sofitel"
The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly. The decor was comfortable. Did not like the over priced restaurant in the hotel, but overall, had a pleasant experience.

The amenities are the only reason I rated it a 4 - huge bathroom; very high-end freebies for body and hair care; cleaning service within hours of arrival; located within 1 block of water tower and great restaurants; nice lounge area; Here is why it's not a 5 - aside from bathroom, the room itself was too small to be a junior suite; not enough lighting […] and difficult to find; contemporary but mediocre decor; Overall, I left feeling that this was nice but not a great value for what I paid. Not exactly what I expected. On the 20 th floor-the view was of another building...the room is small almost as well a the bath tub...even the king sized bed seemed small... I would not stay there again. Very expensive for what is offered.

"Great Business Trip Hotel"
Updated, good food, clean-contemporary room, friendly-professional staff. Will absolutely make it my regular Chicago hotel.
I asked for plates and silverware which were supposed to be delivered to my room but never arrived.
"Amazing"
Had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Very clean, staff was very helpful and kind and the beds are so comfortable. The location is right in the heart of Chicago and in walking distance of Rush street with many shops and restaurants. I will definitely be returning to this hotel.

We brought our 6 month old baby with us and were very impressed with the hotel. The room was so clean that I had no problem letting our baby sit and play on the floor. We requested a crib and mini fridge, and the hotel provided both (no extra cost) and also gave us a baby "kit" that included baby shampoo, lotion, bib, and a cute stuffed bear. The room […] had a bath tub and separate shower, the linens were clean and comfortable. Truly, fabulous hotel. Lovely accommodations, luxurious bed, and wonderful bath amenities....save for the giant hairball in the shower stall, it would have been perfect.
