The views are not very good, since Flinders Lane is a small street, but the perfect location makes up for that. Staff was very friendly. For the price, it was quite a well located, and clean hotel with a surprisingly spacious room, that also had a reasonable view. Our only issue was a terribly loud whistle overnight that seemed to come from the lift well. It was loud enough that we thought it might have been an alarm. It kept us from sleeping at all that night. We rang the front desk […] who said they would come up to look at it but never did. Stay was comfortable bnut I was disappointed in the attitude of the front desk female stff in handling my lack of being able to connect to the internet from my room and then from the business centre. A very helpful male took over and was fantastic. If he had not have been there I would seriously reconsider returning to the Atlantis.Gecontroleerde Hotels.com gastenbeoordeling

"Average Big City Hotel"
This is probably one of the most dissapointing stays i have had at a Best Western for a long time. My initial dealing with the surly reception staff should probably have forewarned me of what to expect of my stay. The room was ok for the price but the included breakfast was a complete let down with probably the worst coffee you will find in Melbourne. […] I thought there was net curtains on my bedroom windows until on closer inspection it was filth that didnt look like it had been washed on the outside for years. "great QUIET budget option."
it is often hard to find a budget option in melbourne which is not effected by loud tram noises...this hotel was very quiet. it is in a convenient location-near the train station and trams. the breakfast was basic but filling. would stay here again.Gecontroleerde Hotels.com gastenbeoordeling

"Close to everything!"

"Great spot for inner city sights"
Location was perfect 100m from Southern Cross Station and the airport sky bus. The free city circle tram was meters from the door. Easy 15min walk to Flinders station and shops. Coles across the road. I asked for a quiet room and it certainly was that. The hotel was at nearly full capacity but you would never know, the lifts were quick and efficient […] and there never seemed to be too many people about. Reception check in an out was quick and seamless. I had the buffet breakfast twice and it was good value at $12. I don't eat meat so I didn't miss any bacon or sausages not being available. The two hot dishes available were baked beans and scrambled eggs which I thought were cooked very well. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room big enough for my needs (city view room). It has a small bar fridge but no microwave (for those that may expect it). Pool, gym and sauna were all in great condition and were never over crowded.
