Het is in alle opzichten een prettig hotel,mijn kleindochter is tijdens ons verblijf ziek geworden en het personeel was zeer behulpzaam en zorgzaam.

The hotel has a very friendly and helpfull staff, escpecially at the reception desk. Breakfast every morning with bread and serial was simple but good. The rooms are clean and the beds are good. Airco worked great in our room. Location is very good near Termini station and very close to the metro (subway) at Piazza Republica.

Keurig hotel, vriendelijk personeel, correcte bediening, zeer behulpzaam en echt heel erg kindvriendelijk. Kamer en sanitair waren zeer schoon, redelijk ruim. Wij hadden een 3-persoons kamer met goede bedden, geen onderschuifbedje. Kussens waren een beetje dun maar dat is ook een persoonlijke kwestie. Prijs/kwaliteit voor 3-sterren zeer goed. Ontbijt […] was goed, maar ietwat chaotisch georganiseerd (rond 8 uur druk en beperkte zitruimte). Prima locatie, rustige zijstraat, op loopafstand van Termini en oude binnenstad. Goed en oud hotel met eenvoudige kamer en een simpel maar goed ontbijt. De kamer is eenvoudig ingericht. Zeer geschikt voor een paar dagen Rome. I was expecting more. Room was very spartan to say the least. Bed as wide as an ironing board. Big closet in a small separate room and a desk and chair. Large bathroom not too bad. Under rim of toilet had not been cleaned in years. The 2nd night I was there I didn't sleep at all due to some American young ladies in the room next door who partied all […] night. Continental breakfast was quite good with several cold cuts , cheese , croissants, yogurt, fruit and several kinds of coffee both american and european. Staff spoke almost fluent English and were very helpful and obliging. Hotel is in a great location , close to The Termini Train Station and within walking distance of several attractions.I would not stay here again but then again you get what you pay for and for a two-star price you get two-star facilities. I make a point to stay at the Centro every time my we visit Roma. The front desk gentlemen are courteous and very helpful. The one we mostly encountered, Michale, was especially kind.

The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to Termini but far enough to feel it's not next to the station. It is beside the Teatro del Opera and closr to some good restaurants, pubs and coffee shops. It is easy to access all the main tourist sites from here on foot though there is a Metro station nearby if the feet get tired, which they will. […] The neighbourhood feels safe. The hotel was clean and functional, with the bedroom larger than others I've stayed in, though would benefit from a new coat of paint but that's the least of my concerns as one doesn't spend much time in the room when in room. It was quiet in the room which meant no problems sleeping. The room had a safe. Breakfast is provided and is the usual one might expect in Rome, ie, cereal, yogurt, fruit, pastries, bread, ham and cheese. The coffee machine doesn't provide great tasting coffee but staff will make a proper cup of coffee when requested to do so. Wifi is provided in reception / bar area. Great value for money. Superb central location, walking distance to Coloseum, Trevi Fountain , Spanish Steps, shopping etc. Hotel staff friendly & courteous. Air conditioning ineffective and room on small side but not major issue. Would use again.

This place does not have all the bells and whistles. If you are looking for fancy accommodation look somewhere else. The room was very small but clean. The hotel, including the room, needed a paint job. The carpet outside the room needed to be replaced. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They helped recommend restaurants and helped with getting around on the trains. The breakfast was a basic European breakfast. We chose this hotel because it was 5-10 minutes walk from Terminii and walkable to the sights. It is situated in a quiet street which is a definite bonus in Rome. Five of us stayed here for 4 nights and used 3 rooms. They all differed slightly in size and facilities, the bathrooms had all been refurbished but one only had a shower and no bath, two had […] a bidet. Beds were good with nice linen but very hard pillows! The rooms could do with a coat of paint to freshen them up otherwise fine for a 3* hotel. Aircon worked fine. Advise taking a torch because the light switches are only on one side of the bed! Breakfasts were excellent with nice choice (no cooked). Francisco and Alberto on the Reception were superb, very helpful and informative and speak excellent English! There is a lounge which was handy for us to meet up in. I would use this hotel again. Room was comfortable and clean. Location was convenient, near Piazza Repubblica and metro station. The breakfast was very nice. The only thing missing is internet in the rooms. You have to go to the lobby to use the wifi.

The Hotel Centro is a recommendable if you want a nice an clean place to stay and don't want to spent a fortune on it. Also as the name already suggests the Hotel is in a very convenient location.

Great location near the metro and withing walking distance of many of Rome's top sites. The front desk staff were very helpful, especially Alfredo who was always pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was quite good for European standards. The man who staffed the dining area was quite sour in his demeanor and didn't make us feel welcome. Overall the hotel was not bad. We had 4 people & fit okay in the room - just a bit tight. The big RED FLAG is the fact that the hotel did not have any air conditioning & we melted - very uncomfortable. The breakfast was fine - typical European. enjoyed the hotel, the staff were friendly and courteous. The air conditioning was not functioning, so the rooms were very hot. We were able to get a circulating fan for the room. Very convenient to everything we planned to see.

The room was not as described in the confirmation including number of beds for 3 adults. Staff was disgruntled when asked to correct bed issue saying Americans want to make them work unnecessarily. Not a friendly staff. Breakfast was plentiful but very poor quality, inbstant juice, instant coffee.

Rome is amazing, no matter where you stay. This hotel, however, is a total scam. We booked a room for four nights, that was to have a nice 16 meter balcony, air-conditioning, etc. We got put in a basement room, that backs up to some sort of Dance club, and worse of all...no air conditioning. Normally, this wouldn't be an issue, but when the temps only […] drop to about 80 at night, and you can't open the windows because of the club, it was pretty brutal. We tried for two nights and couldn't continue our stay. We moved to LUX apartment...Which was awesome, and ironically cheaper. Lees meer

Rundown and ill-maintained hotel. We had to switch rooms after the first night because the AC was not working. Hotel staff was well aware of this and apparently there were several other rooms with the same problem. Our first impression is that the hotel was adequate for our needs, but expensive for the size of the room and amenities. After our first impression our opinion only went down. The hotel advertised air conditioning. The temps were in the upper 90's on the days were were there and the AC was broken and not working at all. First we were told that it would […] be fixed the next morning. When it was still not fixed the next afternoon the man at the desk asked when when we were checking out and then said sorry, but it was going to be fixed the day after that. My impression is that the AC never works. Also we had agreed via email to get at taxi to the airport for 40 eruos, but when I scheduled the pick up with the same man he gave a higher price and said the email which I showed him was mistaken. We later found out that the hotel next door provided a taxi to the airport for 30 euro. This hotel is not to be trusted and if you use them....set your expectations very low. Lees meer

This little old hotel is conveniently located in the centre of Roma, with all the necessary amenities. Keeper speaks good English and is ready to serve (e.g. selling you Open Tour tickets and booking pre-paied taxi to the airport). Really like the classic style and closeness to everything. Price is among the fairest IMP.

Pretty good stay. Positives: 1. Value - Got a really good deal on the rate (all criticisms must be read with this in mind) - in general, hotel was good in the context of a rather low price. 2. Location - Not perfect but fairly close to the vast majority of must-see's; also close to the train station. Neutrals: 1. Cleanlines and condition - standard […] stuff; 2. Breakfast - free; not terrible but not fantastic either. Negatives: 1. Internet only accessible in lobby (really big negative for me - gotta keep an eye on work - plan travel - all tough); 2. Internet went down for well over a full day - manager did not take prompt action - kept insisting that everything was fine since his computer worked - did get it fixed in the end - also mgmt swung a "just-for-me" deal to go briefly to another hotel for internet. 3. AC went out for an evening; management acted more promptly on this. Wrap-up: as said, good value. If hotel ammenities, reliable internet, etc. are really important, then you should pay more and look elsewhere. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Although it was a little tired the cleanliness of the lobby, hallways, lift and rooms were certainly appreciated. The friendliness of the hotel staff, particularly Bruno and Francesco made us feel very welcome. The best feature of the hotel was its location. Only three or four blocks from the rail […] station or Metro. A comfortable walk from the most popular and well known sites of Rome such as the Forum, the coliseum, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Hôtel just OK, no more. The day concierge is an arrogant, pretentious person, he would treat you as a nuisance rather than a customer. The nigth shift concierge is totally the opposite, smily and welcoming, he was very helpfull with informations and directions. The furniture in the small bar are falling apart, we pick up pieces on the floor, it had […] a lot better days, same for the carpets in the bar and lobby. We ask the day concierge to get a better room the day of our arrival, the refrigerator was'nt working, the air conditionning was very noisy and probably broken by the sound of the fan. his first reply was, '' what would you do with a fonctionning refrigerator and there is no better room than this one''. We insisted and finally get an other room. Then he call the bellboy to switch our luggages from one room to the other, he got into an argument with him, the bell boy was 15 minutes from the end of his shift and was arguing that he did not have time to do the change. Room was nice sized and staff was very friendly. The breakfast was more than adequate and was free - similar to what you would find in a German or Austrian hotel. Tours were arranged with the staff and they picked me up at the lobby to go to the Vatican and to other Rome sites. I had an opening to a balcony looking across the Opera house and could hear […] part of the performance, which was a nice perk. For the most part, the stay was positive. The negatives were that the safe did not work (The safe was designed to work with the room key, instead of the more modern digital types that are common these days). The front door of the safe was painted over, so you could not open it. This Hotel does exactly what it says on the tin. It has no pretensions and provided us with a perfectly acceptable base from which to explore Rome without breaking the bank. The room was quiet and clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom fine. The breakfast was the usual continental combination of ham and rolls but perfectly adequate to keep you […] afloat until its time to buy a ridiculously expensive plate of pasta somewhere for lunch. Location is good. Five minutes walk from Termini station. Two or three to the Metro underground at Piazza Republicca from where you can traverse the city with ease. We walked to the Trevi Fountain in ten minutes the first night and next morning map read our way to the Colosseum in around twenty. Getting to the Vatican is either a short metro ride or a thirty minute hike but again, very do able and a good way to explore the city. The various men on the desk were unfailingly polite and were happy to hold our bags after we checked out so we could have another day out before catching the plane. A little stall at the end of the street opens all hours where you can buy water and various sundries if you're overcome with hunger or thirst in the night. All in all we were happy. If you want five star luxury and a man at the door in a uniform look elsewhere. If you re going to be spending your day wearing out shoe leather exploring this great city and just need somewhere to lay your head without worrying about what its costing then this is for you. The hotel is located near the "TERMINI"- train's last station, and is in a very central location. Since the hotel is in an ally and not on the main street, the hotel is very quiet. The "per night" rate was cheap and so was the first impression. Nothing special about the room, it was clean and the bathroom was ok. The breakfast included in the price was simple but the coffee / cappuccino was very good. The staff was polite. It was close to bus and metro so it's easy to get to all places around Rome.
