Het hotel is gevestigd in een voormalig klooster, vooral de binnenplaats die overdekt is met een glazen dak is erg indrukwekkend. De kamer was schoon, lekker bed, we hadden een zolderkamer. Deze was niet heel ruim maar voor ons prima. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid met vers fruit, croissantjes, taart, yoghurt, gekookt ei en gebakken ei en voor de liefhebber ook biologische producten. We hebben ook een avond in het restaurant gegeten: eten was heerlijk. Personeel is erg vriendelijke en spreekt ook Engels. Er is een parkeerplaats, als deze vol is kun je om hulp vragen want voor hotelgasten houdt men altijd plek vrij. Handig om te weten: op zondag en op feestdagen kun je in de nabije omgeving gratis parkeren.

Dit hotel ligt heel gunstig t.o.v. winkels en bezienswaardigheden. Wij vonden de kamer wat klein en minder comfortabel dan je van een 5 sterren hotel verwacht.
Ligging.
Hotel de la Treille bevindt zich in het centrum van Lille, dicht bij Hospice Comtesse, Place Rihour en Musée des beaux-arts. In de buurt liggen ook Notre-Dame-de-la-Treille en Opéra.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Naast gratis kranten in de lobby en een stomerij-/wasserijservice heeft Hotel de la Treille voorzieningen als zelf parkeren. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een lift en een automatische uitcheckoptie. De receptie is 24 uur per dag open.
Hotelkamers.
Hotel de la Treille heeft 42 kamers met een minibar en openslaande ramen. Elke televisie heeft kanalen via de kabel.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag worden aangerekend.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.
Speciale verzoeken kunnen, indien mogelijk, bij het inchecken worden ingewilligd. Hiervoor kunnen extra kosten worden aangerekend. Speciale verzoeken kunnen niet worden gegarandeerd.

"Hotel de la Treille"
Het hotel is zeer gunstig gelegen. De service is prima. De kamer was niet erg groot maar prima in orde met uitzicht op de cathedraal. Er was voor ons (moeder en dochter) een kamer met tweepersoonsbed gereserveerd, maar zodra men ons zag werd dit omgeboekt in een kamer met twee losse bedden. Wij hebben erg genoten.
"Onbetrouwbaar"
Ons verblijf was prima, hoewel de kamer niet erg schoon was (veel haren in de badkamer overal). Maar bij thuiskomst kwamen wij erachter dat een van ons telefoons nog onder het matras lag. Wij hebben hierover contact opgenomen, maar er was niets gevonden. Telefoons krijgen geen pootjes, dus er is iemand die liegt en wij zijn het niet !!

"Hotel de la Treille in oude Rijsel"
Het hotel is perfect gelegen voor een bezoek aan Rijsel. Proper hotel. De kamers zijn echter zeer klein. Voor een nacht is dit ok. Een voudig maar correct ontbijt.

De kamer was op de 5de etage, met lift of trap te bereiken. Binnen komend op de kamer, zag je hoe klein het was. In de badkamer was een open kast met een hanggedeelte, en in de slaapkamer stond niet meer dan een kleine TV kast met drie lades. Het had een schuin dak met dakraam, als je in bed of uit bed wilde was het uitkuiken dat je het hoofd niet stootte. Ook […] was het te warm op de kamer, en als je in de avond het raam open zetten, kon je weer niet slapen van de muggen. Al met al weinig geslapen, maar veel gezien van de stad. Het hotel was gelegen naast de parkeergarage vieux lille.15 euro voor 24 uur parkeren. Van daaruit alles te voet bereikbaar.Leuk platsoen achter hotel naast kathedraal. Wij hadden zeer stille kamer, vogeltjes fluiten achterzijde hotel, maar wel warm en veel trappen lopen. Voor een toeristisch verblijf van 1 -2 nachten vinden wij dat geen probleem. The hotel has 3 stars, mainly due to its location, I think. The regular two person bedroom was a bit small, and pretty warm, although outside temperatures were normal. The bathroom was small too. This was a fine hotel to stay at for the weekend. The room was clean, the people at the reception were nice. However, two complaints: First, the elevator smelled like urine. Fortunately, I was on the first floor so I just made sure to take the stairs. Second, the walls are very thin, so you will be able to hear the muffled conversations and TVs of the […] other guests on your floor, and you will also know it when anyone else in the hotel takes a shower or flushes the toilet. "Lille Xmas Market"
Lille Xmas market was good but small. Location of Hotel was excellent and most sights are within walking distance. Lille has a good selection of restaurants. Hotel Treille room was very small. Breakfast was good and staff very friendly and helpful.

Staff were all very helpful and courteous. The buffet breakfast was excellent - lots of choice, well presented, can't fault it. Had issues with noisy revellers passing the hotel at night (we had a front facing bedroom) Party-goers were still around at 3.30 in the morning! After the first night, a hasty purchase of ear plugs enabled me to get some sleep […] on the second night. But then , it was a weekend. The hotel is extremely convenient for all the sights - only a ten minute walk to the station and other tourist spots very close. Tram & metro very easy to use and plenty of buses around. The hotel is in a perfect location< 15min walk for Lille Europe, 10 mins from centre of town, and some lovely restaurants near by. The hotel is in an amazing location, right in the centre. Just make sure you ask for a room facing one of the back streets, or the inner courtyard - mine was facing the main street and it was very loud. Breakfast overpriced for what they give you, you would probably be better off grabbing some food in one of the cafes.

Absolutely disappointing! I decided to take a chance despite the reviews..... bad idea! We arrived at 12.30pm only to be told by a very rude unapolegetic mature manager that our room won't be ready till an hour later. Upon our return a couple of hours later,we had to drag our suitcases through very narrow -whitehouse like stairs- right up to the very […] top floor to a tiny stale smelling room with no tea/coffeee facilities and not worth watching tv. The younger man at the desk when we checked out was much pleasant but the overall service was terrible.The old town location of the hotel is lovely and a short distance to the man square. We had a lovely meal at a nice restaurant few doors away next door to a cake shop. Lille is such a beautiful city....BUT definatley not staying at this hotel again! Lees meer

This was our second stay at the Hotel de la Treille. It is ideally situated in Lille's Old Town and only a 15 minute walk from the Eurostar station. The rooms aren't large but they are comfortable, and we found our first floor room at the back overlooking the Cathedral to be quiet. Our bathroom was well-appointed but contained the only mirror, as there […] wasn't one in the room. Unfortunately, this time mosquitoes were a problem! There was a good choice at breakfast, including fruit juices, tea, coffee, cereals, various types of bread and pastries, cheese, ham and yogurts. One criticism - the coffee wasn't always hot. The staff were pleasant and very helpful, especially Manu. Overall, we felt we got good value for money. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others. We understand the hotel will shortly be undergoing refurbishment and hope this will include proper wardrobes rather than just the hanging space as at present. Lees meer

Great hotel. Nice and clean, and in a fantastic location in a surprisingly charming city. Would definitely stay here again. Only potential negatives are that the rooms get a little stuffy (but the area is quiet enough to open your windows and still be able to sleep), and the hotel requests that you turn in your key each time you leave. Location of this hotel could not be better, and the staff were friendly. However, the room was very small. The main problem was the noise. We stayed Friday and Saturday night and from midnight onwards the noise was constant. On Saturday it continued until after 5 am, and over the 2 nights we probably got less than 5 hours sleep. A nice clean hotel with friendly staff. I found the bed uncomfy and the room a little cramped. The hotel is in a nice are and only a little walk to the centre or christmas markets. We were satisfied with our stay.

"Decent room marred by VERY thin walls"
I stayed at Hotel de la Treille for just a night, and would venture to say that the hotel deserves at most 2.5 stars instead of 3. While the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the toilet was of a good size and style (granite/marble tops), furnishings were very basic (e.g. hanging rod, no wardrobe; nonewithstanding the flatscreen TV) and the […] room was small in size (so that the bed took up most of the space). But the real problem was the lack of sound-proofing and thing walls, such that we could clearly hear footsteps and voices in the corridor (a real pain when the occupants of the neighbouring room were up and about making a din at 7am), and worse still, the distinct sound of WATER running through the pipes in the walls (on several occasions I thought I'd left the tap on!!) whenever someone turned a tap on next door/upstairs/downstairs. J'ai bien aimé la situation exceptionnelle de cet hôtel, en plein cœur du Vieux Lille mais les chambres sont petites et le rapport qualité/prix est moyen.
L’hôtel en lui-même est très bien. Par contre, lors de notre dernier séjour nous avons eu une chambre qui donnait sur la place, qui est très bruyante, même tôt le matin. Dommage.

Par ces jours de grand froid, le chauffage était en panne dans tout l'hôtel et pas de solution de repli proposée. Les chambres étaient glaciales et la salle du petit déjeuner donnant sur l'entrée dans les courants d'air, ce qui ne nous a pas permis de profiter du buffet copieux. Il a fallu enjambé le lit pour pouvoir ce coucher. Vraiment dommage.
