Bij aankomst was de receptioniste niet meteen de vriendelijkste. De volgende ochtend bij het ontbijt was het iemand anders en die was wel vriendelijk :) Kamer was zeer proper, badkamer ook. Ruim en alles was aanwezig (zeepjes, haardroger, frigo, tv,...) Het ontbijt was ok: toast met confituur, vers fruitsap, koffie, thee en cakejes. Algemene ervaring: zeer positief, een aanrader! (restaurant Dorn's tegenover hotel is zeer goed!!)

Wij hadden dit hotel uitgezocht omdat we toe waren aan een comfortabel hotel tijdens onze roadtrip door Californie. De suite was prachtig en lekker groot, alleen wat lawaaierig omdat naast de deur een flinke kier was die veel geluid doorliet. Er was een open hal waardoor het geluid van het restaurant en de bar in de suite te horen was. Het uitzicht op de highway was niet fraai vanaf het, overigens grote en mooie, balkon. De service van de receptie was uitstekend; we kregen een andere suite dan we gereserveerd hadden en ze maakten dit helemaal goed met ons. Kreeg van het hoofd Receptie 2 lekkere flessen lotion van een uitstekend merk van de Spa. Ze wilde het graag goed maken en vonden het erg vervelend dat we ind e verkeerde suite waren terechtgekomen en het was een leuke geste.

Ontbijt zeer verzorgd en je mag gebruiken maken van de keuken en woonruimte. Lekker op de loungebank of bij de open haard.

Ligging.
Rose Garden Inn San Luis Obispo ligt heel handig vlak bij de luchthaven in San Luis Obispo, dicht bij Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa en Fremont Theater. Bezienswaardigheden in de omgeving zijn onder andere Alex G. Spanos Stadium en California Polytechnic State University.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Rose Garden Inn San Luis Obispo heeft een buitenzwembad en een fitnesscentrum. In openbare ruimtes is een draadloze snelle internetverbinding gratis beschikbaar, terwijl de accommodatie over een werkstation beschikt. Dit hotel biedt diverse eetgelegenheden, zoals een restaurant. Het personeel kan op verzoek een conciërgeservice, hulp bij excursies/tickets en zakelijke diensten regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere barbecueroosters, een wasserij en een tuin. Zelf parkeren is gratis. De accommodatie kan gasten na het uitchecken verlengde parkeerrechten geven (tegen toeslag). Alle bedden hebben een pillowtop-matras. Gasten hebben een gratis draadloze internetverbinding op de kamer. Elke televisie heeft premiumkanalen via de kabel en een dvd-speler. Elke kamer beschikt over een bureau en een telefoon met directe buitenlijn met voicemail. Elke badkamer is voorzien van een bad/douchecombinatie en gratis toiletartikelen.
Elke kamer is voorzien van een magnetron en een koelkast. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere openslaande ramen en een klokradio. Bovendien kun je op verzoek gebruikmaken van voorzieningen zoals een föhn, een strijkplank/strijkijzer en extra handdoeken/beddengoed. Een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar. Op de kamers van Rose Garden Inn San Luis Obispo mag niet worden gerookt.

goed doorgangs hotel. voor een nachtje geen probleem. netjes, maar wat ouder allemaal.
"Prima doorreishotel"
Op rondreis door de VS 1 nacht hier overnacht. Prima hotel, je krijgt wat je betaald. We hadden een King bed gereserveerd, bleek niet meer beschikbaar, dus helaas genoegen moeten nemen met een kleinere queen. Verder prima, geen klachten.

The hotel was extremely outdated. For half the price I could have stayed at a motel that would have been better. I thought staying at an 'inn' and not a chain would be pleasant, but I was wrong! No amenities, it smelled funny, for the price I definitely could have stayed in a nicer place.
"If it's this or sleeping in your car...."
I would not recommend unless you're in a really tight budget. Furniture is strictly thrift shop variety. Stains galore on floors, walls, etc. Not a crack house, but a star and a half is being optimistic.
"Horrible Service-not worth the cost"
Upon arriving at the hotel, I was greeted by a seemingly clueless young man at the front desk. He was not helpful at all. When we finally got our rooms, they were not what we had reserved-when I called downstairs to ask to get the correct rooms-the young man answered the phone "Yo". I was then told that he had given our rooms away, and couldnt help […] me any further, then he proceded to yell at me. I was very unhappy that not only did I pay extra for 3 rooms, I was told they gave my rooms away "because how was he supposed to know if I would show up?" "Adequate No Frills Motel"
This motel shows its age, but our room was clean and adequate for the price we paid. The clerk was not in when we arrived, and we had to wait 10 minutes for her to return to check us in, and there were no freshly baked cookies as the motel flyer advertises.
The only redeeming feature was that the hotel was conveniently located for our trip. The rooms were outdated. The side chair was ripped and stained. The bathtub was chipped and there was no shower head. I will not stay there again.

"Great value"
Cannot beat the value. Upon check in we were upgraded to a refurbished room. The furniture looked.like any other nice hotel. The bathroom was a bit dated but clean. For the price would definitely stay here again bot the location is a bit far from downtown. Staff was very nice and açcomodating

"Old Hotel with no special amenities"
This place is just a room to sleep (if you can) Beds where uncomfortable with flat pillows, old TV's with odd remotes controls. No coffee makers in the rooms, however; they did supply coffee at the front desk with fruits and pastries and cookies. (not all was lost). the only thing I would request is that there was a coffee pot in the room. We were quite a distance from the lobby, would have been nice to not have to go there for morning coffee
"Overwhelming bug spray smell"
Our room smelled like bug spray. Also, the heater was broken which we did not find out until we needed it in the middle of the night. When we complained in the morning they said it was scheduled for a new heater and they would move us to a new room. My question was why they would put us in that room in the first place. "Not bad at all for the price"
Since we had to book at the last minute, this was one of two hotels that was within my price range and I don't regret my choice at all. Their beds were comfortable, and they even had a microwave and a fridge, which came in handy when we ate at Margie's Diner right next door for one breakfast. Was looking for a reasonable rate a comfortable bed for a 2 nite stay. Too expensive for 2 nites even though it was summer rates. Outdated hotel with a TV without the free HBO. This hotel was over priced during the summer seasons - about double to triple the price of that in the winter. The room was large, a double queen, but smelled like bug spray. Third time staying at the Rose Garden. Always clean and comfortable. Beautiful grounds. A little surprised no breakfast was available one morning, but a great diner is next door.

"Great Value!"
We were very pleased with our two day stay. The bed was very comfortable and I was delighted that they included a nice comfortable side chair with an ottoman to curl up with my a.m. coffee. They also included a microwave and a mini fridge; rare find. The pool area was also delightful. All around this inexpensive place gets a 10

The hotel was very nice & they have a gorgeous garden of roses & fuschias. It was clean and comfortable & the day manager David was extremely helpful. Hotel. com says they have an airport shuttle but that is not correct. They have a shuttle only for specific clients. The hotel was good for what we paid. We had a microwave and fridge in the room. Walls were a little thin but not a big problem.
This hotel is very affordable. Rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a musty smell in the halls, but it has improved from the 1st time we stayed there. Beautiful gardens and nice pool area. A hot tub would be nice though.
It had signs saying not good for pregnant women, my wife is pregnant, this seems like something to be mentioned, it also smelled of cleaning supplies and had very thin walls. We did like it being close to margies since they didn't have a real breakfast. Its a nice hotel for the price.
It is a good to this price. It is really close to everything.. I did't use the facilities (Pool) because, It was too cold

"Expect a budget motel"
When I booked this motel, I fully expected a bare-bones, budget motel, and that is what it was. It is 1.5 stars for a reason - it is just a place to put your head at night. The walls are thin and you can hear everything that goes on in & around the motel. But again, THAT IS WHAT I EXPECTED. "Decent Hotel - Great Price"
The Rose Garden Inn at San Luis Obispo is a great hotel for the price. You can't expect the Ritz when the rate so low!! It's a bed and a shower in decent surroundings - what else do you need! I would recommend the Rose Garden to everyone!
"Cal Poly"
We stayed at this hotel because it was close to Cal Poly and it was move in weekend for our child. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and felt it was a well worth the room rate. Will stay again on next visit to San Luis Obisbo.
