De kamer was keurig en mooi, lekkere bedden, een bad in de badkamer. Beneden in de hal kon je gratis koffie en thee halen. Ontbijt was fantastisch, er was van alles: wafels die je zelf kon bakken, muffins, donuts, bagels, havermoutpap, fruit etc. Alleen het drinken dat je kon pakken uit de automaat had een rare smaak, en die nam ik daarom ook niet. Maybe not the Riitz but the staff was friendly shuttle service worked well.. rooms were clean and comfortable... I had to leave before the contiental breakfast but thye had fruit out for the early birds...I would use again happily

The hotel was all that we had expected. Marriott does a fine job with consistency, and the pool was particularly important for our family.

I chose this hotel because of the location was closer to the Liberty State Park and the Airport. The shuttle services was hard to find at the terminal because the hotel information did not show up on the info at the shuttle terminal and don't know which number to call. The Fairfield was very nice. I liked the suite style layout of the room. Overall, the hotel was clean and the staff was accomodating. Our airport shuttle driver was really a hoot! The only draw-back to this location, is that it is not close to anything except the Marriott next door (which does have a restaurant/bar). No shopping or neighborhood to walk […] around... so, if you don't rent a car and you have time to kill, you either have to get a taxi or spend extra hours at the airport. Lees meer

the room was okay and the staff was nice enough ... the shuttle from the airport was timely ... the continental breakfast was okay ... all around it was all okay ... but i thought a good value for the rate

For being between a major highway and the airport, I expected it to be a little noisy...not at all...highly recommend, especially due to location.

The distance from the airport to hotel was described as one mile, however it failed to mention that it takes almost 20 minutes to drive to the hotel. The electricity went out at just this hotel, no other locations in the area, which caused me to leave items in the room because I was unable to see and to go to the airport 3 hours ahead of time because […] I didn't want to sit in a dark hotel room. The hotel was fine, generic, as you expect a chain hotel to be. (All hotels around Newark are hard to find without GPS, fyi.) BUT ... we got 7 nights free parking along with our one-night stay, which made for a ridiculously reasonable price. This is our new go-to!

We stayed 4 days in the Fairdield Inn for sightseeing of New York City. This hotel is a very good alternative to hotels in downtown NY, not at least becaus of the cheaper rates. The airport shuttle was awesome. Very clean and awesome breakfast. Very good and friendly service.

Having spent 4 nights at a over-priced, small room hotel in New York, the spaciousness of this hotel room was like a breath of fresh air.

This is my first review and the hotel is great. When flying in and getting the shuttle go to p4 in the airport and they pick you up every half hour. Great service.

Very accommodating and knowledgeable staff. They went overboard to assist, Room was very clean although toilet needed deodorizing -- slight smell. Hotel was somewhat difficult to find at night. However, I would certainly stay there again if the opportunity arises in the future.

The hotel itself is very nice and well kept. But direction from the staff and not being on GPS leaves a lot to be desired. Once you are lost which is often you are on roads where you lock the doors and hope you don't have any car trouble.

This is in a great location for those leaving from Dulles....good shuttle service. Nice, comfortable and clean rooms. The breakfast is full of variety.....make your own waffles! Only complaint is that the walls seem kind of thin......people next door were noisy at 2 a.m. And fans on AC/heat are rather loud.

Clueless staff lost our reservation. When I handed them a print out, they told us call Hotels.com When I promised them a negative review, they found my reservation. There are so many other hotels in the area. Be smart, choose a different one.

This was a great place to stay the night before a cruise. Only problem is that there are no restaurants you can walk to. We ended up ordering pizza. They have free airport transfers, but you need to get other transportation to the port. One of our party was able to park free there for the two weeks of the cruise --- a huge savings.

Front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. Love the touch of having apples at the front desk.. Rooms were very clean, breakfast was great. Recommend to everyone.

Room smelled stale upon entry; cold puddle under A/C unit.

Very good breakfast, friendly reception staff, clean well equipped rooms at a moderate price. only negative that comes to mind is that their shuttle bus lacked a/c and a separate baggage bay .

This hotel wasn't in the best neighborhood and was very difficult to get to as it didn't have a normal location. It also had very little in the way of restaurants or convenience stores. If you wanted outside food, you had to order take-out from the three pamphlets shoved under the door every day. The staff was so-so and they charged me twice for the […] same bill. Not too pleased. Location is excellent - right next to the highway exit. Room is big and beds are comfortable, breakfast is excellent. However, A/C is a problem. Once we turn on the A/C, water pops out like a fountain. The bed is so close to the A/C, so blankets are all wet. We ask for another room and the manager immediately found another one for us without problem. […] However, the 2nd room also has a A/C problem. No water came out this time but you can tell the carpet is already wet. It's a hot and humid 96'F outside, so we think we can tolerate it. Other than that, everything is fine. Since the location is close to the Newark Airport, people wake up earlier to catch plane, so just be prepare someone bang on the door at 4am in the morning! Lees meer

Shuttle service from a/p to hotel and then back to a/p next morning allowed us to take NJT into New York City for our cruise. We saved money and had no problems making connections.

A good hotel for the money. Very conveniant location from the airport with shuttles that drives regulary 24 hbetween the airport and the hotel. If many guests it can be rather crowdy during breakfast hours and hard to find a table, but that is a minor issue.

For the money and the location, this place was great. It had an included buffet breakfast that rivals other hotels..lots of choices, fresh and clean. The elevator and the hallways were stifling hot. No air conditioning at all. The rooms were comfortably cool.

The room was clean and comfortable. I did have a room for four people and it was very small. There was one bed and a pull out couch that was on an angle of the room, so you could not walk around the couch to get to the bathroom. This hotel was very reasonably priced, however, it was very very very hard to get to. You can see it off the fwy but you need explicid directions. We spent a hour going in circles and we had three different gps'. If you plan on driving into New York !!!! M Don't do it!!!! Traffic is horrible...Take the subway or spend the money and stay in the city

The hotel was not great. Small beds, two full size beds were in our room and not very comfortable, (especially being used to queen or king size beds). We were only there to sleep a few hours before catching a flight out of Newark. We're glad we didn't have to stay for any length of time. The location,however, was great for our needs.

This hotel was a great place to stay while waiting to audition for the X factor at the Prudential Center. The location was great, and the room was clean. The beds were super comfortable. We didn't want to go far for food that evening, so we went over to the Marriott Suites, where there was a nice restaurant/bar. This was the nicest airport hotel I have stayed in as I have traveled all over the world. I was surprised my previous experiences at airport inns haven't been as good. The breakfast was unbelievable with waffles, hot oatmeal,cereals, fruits, quiche,etc. I am a former hotel manager and am aware of many things other guests may not notice. A fairly basic airport hotel but very well maintained and run. Staff were helpful, proactive, and very friendly. Rooms were spotless and comfortable. Pool and fitness areas were clean and well supplied wityh towels, etc. The hotel might not be ideal for any kind of extended stay, but if you're just overnighting in Newark between flights you couldn't […] do much better for the money. This hotel was beautiful. The service was great. Breakfast was good. The indoor heated pool was great with the extra towells. My children has fun in it. The room was a great condition. However, I had trouble sleeping at night in the 1st floor. Alot of doors being shut and loud noises at 2, 4 and 7 am. it was hard to sleep with all the commotion in the […] hallway. Lees meer

Clean, inexpensive and a decent free breakfast. Shuttle to EWR ran every 30 mins/24 hrs a day. The 4:30 AM shuttle was overcrowded--3 people had to stand. One drawback, the security gate to the parking lot was not working, so was left in the open position. Area is commercial. Not aware of any problems with cars in the lot.

Nice hotel and very convenient to the airport. I was visiting my son who is in college and it was a nice place to stay and easy access to all major highways.

The room was spacious and clean. The beds are very comfortable. I do suggest bringing toiletries. They only give you the smallest bottles of shampoo ,conditioner and bar of soap. Limited linens. The curtains did not close.

Wonderful hotel! The staff was great and the hotel was spotless. There were a lot of delicious options for breakfast. If I had to pick out anything to suggest they improve on it would be maybe extending the end time for breakfast to 10am instead of 9am. The other thing is that the pool felt really cold. They checked the temp and it said it was 80*. […] They did raise the temp a little for us. It did not feel like 80* to us but it could have been. Also, getting to the front door of the hotel was a bit confusing and I'm not sure how long it would have taken us to figure it out if we hadn't seen a hotel van and followed it. It was like a maze. We were very happy with our stay at this hotel and will definitely stay there again if we are in the area. Lees meer
