Vlakbij Times Square, beter kan niet. Ideaal hotel ook met kinderen. Kamers zijn prima, geen geluidsoverlast van straatverkeer. Behulpzaam personeel. Echt een aanrader.

Dit hotel is zeker voor herhaling vatbaar. Dichtbij de PATH trein naar NYC. Ontbijt en kamer waren prima!

Mijn dochter (10 jaar) en ik hebben eind april een week in Cassa Hotel and Residences gelogeerd. Dit naar volle tevredenheid! Het hotel ligt op ca. 4 minuten loopafstand van Times Square, de kamer was niet groot, maar prima voor ons verblijf. Er werd keurig schoongemaakt en al het personeel was uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Men is momenteel bezig met enkele verbouwingen aan het hotel (waar wij overigens totaal geen last van hadden!) die het hotel mijns inziens alleen nog maar mooier en completer in dienstverlening zullen maken. Wij hopen volgend jaar week een week in Cassa Hotel and Residences te mogen verblijven en raden iedereen die een goed hotel zoekt in New York dit hotel van harte aan.
Ligging.
Hotel Stanford ligt in het centrum van New York, op loopafstand van Empire State Building, Macy's en Madison Square Garden. In de buurt bevinden zich ook Times Square en Station Grand Central Terminal.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Dit hotel voor zaken heeft een restaurant, een koffietentje/café en een bar/lounge. Gasten krijgen gratis ontbijt. In openbare ruimtes is een draadloze snelle internetverbinding gratis beschikbaar, terwijl de accommodatie over een werkstation beschikt. Dit hotel met met 3 sterren beschikt over zakelijke voorzieningen waaronder een businesscentrum en een vergader-/conferentieruimte. Het personeel kan op verzoek een conciërgeservice, hulp bij excursies/tickets en bedrijfsgerelateerde dienstverleningen regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere meertalig personeel, gratis kranten in de foyer en stomerij-/wasserijservices. Dit is een rookvrije accommodatie.
Hotelkamers.
Hotel Stanford heeft 121 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een kluisje op de kamer en een gratis krant. Elke televisie heeft premiumkanalen via kabel/satelliet. Een snelle draadloze internetverbinding is bij betaling van een toeslag beschikbaar. Elke badkamer is voorzien van een bad/douchecombinatie en een haardroger. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere openslaande ramen en gratis toiletartikelen. Daarnaast zijn op verzoek voorzieningen beschikbaar zoals een strijkplank/strijkijzer en een telefonische wekdienst. Een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar. In Hotel Stanford mag niet op de kamers worden gerookt.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag worden aangerekend.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.

The Hotel Stanford serves a complimentary continental breakfast each morning.
This Midtown hotel is in the Koreatown neighborhood--popularly known as K-Town--so you'll have your pick of restaurants serving Korean barbecue, soups, and other flavorful fare. The onsite Gahm Mi Oak, open 24 hours a day, is a local favorite. Highlights from the large menu include ox-bone soup and radish kimchi.
Central Park, ruim 2 kilometer naar het noorden, biedt vele recreatiemogelijkheden, zoals sportvelden, tennisbanen, roeibotenverhuur, paardrijden en kilometers routes voor wandelen, fietsen, hardlopen en in-line skaten. De schaatsbaan van Rockefeller Center, anderhalve kilometer verderop, is geopend in de winter, net als de Wollman Rink in Central Park. Een driving range voor golf vindt u in Chelsea Piers op ongeveer 2 kilometer ten westen van het hotel. In sportclubs in de buurt kunt u zwemmen en fitnesslessen volgen.

Only negative is the elevator; there's only one, which takes forever during rush hour in the morning..
"Prima locatie"
Het hotel ligt zeer centraal, precies tussen 5th avenue en broadway in. Het is wel Korea Area echt apart om mee te maken. Het hotel is inclusief ontbijtbuffet, dit bestaat echter uit slappe koffie, jus dórange (geen echte) en donuts, thats it. Maar, schuin tegenover het hotel zit Speedy's, een take away waar je ook boven kunt eten met allemaal super […] vers eten/drinken super gezond. Op de 2e verdieping staan 4 computers waar je gratis kan internetten. Ook is daar een lounche met de hele dag koffie/thee koekjes en drank. Ze hebben happy hour maar dat geldt niet voor alle drankjes ;(. Vergeet ook niet je niet storen kaartje op te hangen als je niet om 8.15 uur door housekeeping wakker gemaakt wil worden. Prima hotel op een erg goede locatie. Kamer keurig schoon en het (koreaanse) personeel heel aardig en kundig. Wij hadden geen ontbijt maar er waren genoeg ontbijt tentjes in de buurt. De prijs is stevig, maar dat is inherent aan NY. Al met tevreden en zal bij een volgend bezoek aan NY dit hotel zeker weer overwegen.

"Mediocre at Best"
Convience to bus drop and access to subways was about the best comfort offered here. If you simply need a place to stay this will work. The room was adequate. The hotel lobby was not quite a real lobby. The hallways were narrow and the room size no more than needed to survive. Not upset just looking for more. Skip this one if you can.

"Good value"
Overall good value for an excellent location. Far from business class, but good enough when you pay for yourself and just need a fair place to sleep and rest. Friendly staff. Would consider it again.
"No Outlets!!!"
The person checking me in was on cloud 9 and forgot to give me my key and then forgot to give me my ID back, so check-in took 15 minues. While checking in, the lobby filled with a group of 15 loud tourists and their luggage (which comes with the neighborhood), it is a tourist location. When finally in the room, I swear there was not a single outlet […] to be found in my room. I had to unplug the refrigerator to plug in my laptop. We really enjoyed this hotel, it was very clean and comfortable, luxury bathroom, close to shopping mall. Many Chinese restaurants close by and a 24 hour deli/convenience store right across the street. The staff were very friendly and we were able to leave our luggage at the front lobby while we went to a few shows. We also got a free room upgrade.

Trip Advisor indicates a 4 star rating from feedback received?! Can't believe it's the same hotel. For the 5 days we were wishing we had booked next door at the competition! Great location and ok if on a tight budget otherwise you'll be disappointed. Hardly any control of heating/cooling, included breakfast we were handed a plastic tray with plastic […] cutlery and the choice was bagels or iced dognuts! "Highly Satisfied"
I'm glad to say that I am very satisfied with this hotel. I was really in love with the shower they had to offer!! Great location with lots of attractions. Times Sq and lots of shopping in walking distance. 15 mins tops. Definitely would stay here again.

Hotel in nice location. Parking garage right across the street for those of you driving into the City. One of our two rooms at least 95 degrees throughout the night. Hotel staff disinterested in problem. Would not consider a discount on the stay. Breakfast basically bagels and donuts. This area also very hot.

The location is an easy walk to many things including the theater district, Times Square, or the Empire state building. The room I got was clean and well maintained with a microrefrigerator. We only needed to stay one night at a reasonable price and this turned out to be great choice. Conveniently located about a block away from Penn station, clean, comfortable. Twin beds were a bit tiny but then again for the price it was a great place

The rooms in the pictures and what they really look like, don't really match. I don't particularly care in this instance because I was just going there for a night. The rooms are not really updated (at least mine wasn't) and the shower head had very really pressure and it drained really really slow. We have a very nice stay at the Hotel Stanford. Our room was very comfortable and very quiet! The decorations were not brand new - but everything was clean and the staff was so nice so we really didn't mind whether it was very modern or not. Besides, the price was wonderful! Thank you!
"Hotel Stanford--great location, all you need"
We picked this hotel because it was only a few blocks from the Megabus stop, allowing us to quickly drop off our bags and start enjoying NYC for our 30 hour stay. We were impressed by the overall condition and cleanliness of the rooms. We stayed in a twin/twin room, and while somewhat small (hey, this is New York after all), the room was immaculate, […] attractively furnished in an upscale manner, and had a very spacious bathroom with plenty of shelf room for our toiletries. The continental breakfast the next morning was straightforward (assorted danish, coffee, juice), which I think was a plus...no powdered scrambled eggs or long waits at the waffle iron. Ugh. The person checking us in also accommodated our request for a room on the top floor, away from traffic noise, and the room delivered...very quiet, and with great room darkening curtains. This is not a full scale luxury hotel...the doorman didn't offer to take our bags up to our room, for instance...but overall, the staff was very friendly and professional, and we were extremely pleased with our stay. "21st Birthday Celebration"
We arrived in New Yor for a three day shopping trip, to celebrate my daughters 21st birithday. The hotel staff were all friendly and proffessional. The location was terriffic. Empire State Building , Macy's and Broadway within walking distance. The complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea was lovely. It was a pleaseure to stay there.

I wanted to try out a moderately priced hotel in the area and settled on the Stanford based on positive reviews. The room was small, as expected in NYC, and a little old fashioned, but it was clean and everything worked. So did the rest of the hotel and staff and I was pleasantly surprised. While the location of the hotel was quite good, the hotel itself is showing significant signs of wear. It sorely needs an update. Room was worn thin, both the mattress and pillows were extremely uncomfortable, and the television set was old, small and had extremely limited channels. Unfortunately, the most disturbing issue was the pair of socks I found […] between the sheets at the bottom of the bed, which seemed to clearly indicate that the room had been haphazardly cleaned between guests, and that the sheets were most likely not completely fresh although the bed had been made. Wonderful! Amazing location within walking distance to everything. Broadway theatres, 5th Ave shopping experience, Empire State Bldg., Macy's flagship store, and more and more and more. Wonderful location in Mid-Town, a subway station only one block away and close to everything NY has to offer. Clean, well-presented hotel with smallish rooms but more than adequate, after all you don't travel to NY to be in a hotel room. We booked the entry level room (standard) and we got a room on the ninth floor, with "views" over a car park. Breakfast […] was included as well and whilst basic, all one needed for a start into the day was provided: bagels, cream cheese, jam, donuts, juice, milk, coffee, tea. The only downside was that the hotel charges for internet, at a price that I personally found quite steep. There is a business center on the second floor and free WiFi in the lobby, however if internet is not required for work whilst in the room, free WiFi is readily available anywhere, for example Starbucks. "If You must"
I mean, yes i wanted to be near alot of the city features, but this place leaves alot to be desired. I mean for the price it isn't horrible if you just plan on crashing, but it was very much and old hotel with very old features. If you need to use lobby bathroom you share it with the Vietnamese restaurant next door, it is in the center of Vietnamese […] town. The continental breakfast is held at a little shop a joined to the hotel, seating is very limited, and if you want o grab a muffin and coffee and eat in you room, you will pay for it..literally. The rooms are musty and old, it looked liek they upgraded the bathroom and forgot to touch the room. I know the price is great but stay at the Radisson next door. Lees meer

"Hotel Stanford - Great Location, Quiet Rooms"
We found the location to be very convenient (on or near several subway lines and only one stop from Times Square) and our room surprisingly up to date and quiet. The continental breakfast was bagels and pastries and apples - nothing special but still nice to not have to pay extra for breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful. this hotels is located at korean town, if you're into korean food, this is the right choice for you. getting around town is easy since it's close to a subway station. there is one thing i dislike, the heater is my room made an annoying noise at night. overall, recommended hotel for traveller that seeks cheap and strategic hotel in nyc.

"Hotel Stanford Great Location"
I chose this hotel based on it's convenient location and relatively inexpensive rate for a single night stay in NYC. We had a room on the 6th floor of this 11th floor hotel and were able to check in two hours early! Gave us an opportunity to explore without lugging our suitcase around the city. Our room was quiet and comfortable. Elevator a bit slow […] as mentioned in other reviews. Also morning breakfast was as expected for a freebie. We had a cup of tea and split the last croissant. Our train didn't leave until later in the day and I asked if we could store our suitcase after checking out. The helpful clerk said it was a complimentary service! Gave a tip to the bellman when retrieving our bag. Pleased with the overall value and hotel experience. Felt safe in the Korean neighborhood. "Awesome Stay"
We stayed in the executive suite with our two sons 20 and 24. Lots of room for luggage, great furniture and decor! Rooms were VERY CLEAN. Beds and pillows great and bathroom was super and clean. Staff friendly and all were helpful and very pleasant. We all liked the breakfast. Loved 2nd floor room. Location was wonderful. We highly recommend Hotel Standford!!! We loved the Hotel Stanford! The location could not be beat--only a few seconds to walk to a great subway that connected to lots of lines. Fantastic service from start to finish from the hotel staff. Our room was surprisingly spacious, modern, and stylish. I would definitely stay there again!

This proprietor has an old hotel in a good location and is stuck. Rooms are small, with some upgrades and the room was clean. If you are used to staying in brand name hotels don't stay here. You'll be disappointed. If you are used to traveling in Europe staying in older hotels you might find this hotel acceptable.
