Banff Aspen Lodge in Banff

Fijne kamers. We hadden een kamer naast de ijsmachine, maar nachtelijk gebruik werd door management adequaat aan gepakt. Prima bedden en net buiten de drukte van het centrum 5 minuten lopen.

Ik had van te voren de diverse recencies van dit hotel gelezen en daarom deze voor ons als beste gekozen. Datgene wat er als kleine minpunten stond heb ik niet zo ervaren. Alles was goed: mooie hotelkamer met aparte zit/slaapkamer, werkende heerlijk warme hottubs, rustig/niet gehorig, een ontbijt dat gewoon prima is, vriendelijk personeel dat behulpzaam […] is, Wifi die werkt en in de daluren ook nog eens razendsnel is, genoeg parkeerplek onder het hotel en dat allemaal dichtbij een hardstikke leuk centrum. in prijs kwaliteit is dit een perfect hotel, we hadden minder verwacht maar kregen meer, dus dit is zeker een aanrader.

Great location - short walk to town, and the renovations are really impressive. Everything was finished to a high spec. We had a 2 queen bed room and the beds were seperated by the bathroom area which we were impressed with as it gave a little more privacy. We had 2 granite sinks outside the bathroom which was great for a group of girls getting ready […] to go out. The hot tub area in the center was just gorgeous. The staff were really friendly and willing to help. The breakfast was good, although there wasnt a huge selection it was good enough for a complimentary breakfast and everything was fresh. The location was fantastic! Close enough to downtown Banff but far enough from all the noise. Would definitely return.

We enjoyed our stay here. Little small but well kept. Convenient walk to main street shops and restaurants.

very nice affordable place to stay!!

we had a room for 4 of us, it was big enough and comfortable for us. The location is great, just down the main st a little. The Breakfast was terrific, one of the best examples of a continental breakfast I have seen.

Excellent value for the dollar, large comfortable, clean room with fridge, extra facilities including hot tub and sauna, and serves very nice breakfast.

Great renovations! We had an excellent stay!

Just a normal motel. Nothing fancy. Overall is good, clean and convenient. The only thing we don't like is the smell in the room. It may be because of the paint or wall paper. The breakfast is OK, bread, muffins, cereal, but no egg or meat.

This hotel seemed very reasonably priced for how nice it was. The staff was friendly. The outdoor hot tub was fantastic and it was a block from everything downtown.

Extremely comfortable, well priced accommodation, only a 2 min walk to the main part of town. The breakfast provided was fantastic - a great way to start the day.

Hotel service, equipmet, loacation are great. Not a fancy hotel but more cozy place to be with family or friend.

This Hotel was just lovely! A friend and I stayed from a Sun-Tues and with the online deal it was definitely affordable even though it was higher winter season. The rooms are beautiful with the renovations and immaculately clean. We had 2 sinks outside the shower/toilet room which was great for getting ready. All staff we interacted with were friendly […] and helpful and the continental breakfast was the perfect way to start the morning. I don't need an egg station or a big pancake breakfast every morning so yogurt, porridge and fruit and yogurt was just perfect on the run. We never had to wait to be seated. Hot tub and saunas were also great and very clean, not too busy either. Location was super handy & being on the edge of downtown gave great walking access and was a quick exit to the highway. They don't charge extra for parking or ski lock up like lots of the 'fancy' places do. Underground, warm parking was also a plus (though there isn't much so you have to get there early to snag it, otherwise you are outside around back). Was quiet, small and personable, convenient and clean -affordably! What more could you ask for? Only complaint - they have very small bath/sauna towels and no conditioner, only shampoo. All in all a fabulous place that I will definitely return to and would recommend. Lees meer

Great location, good value for money, friendly and helpful staff, clean and tidy rooms, just love the hot tubs just what you needed after a day skiing one even had a fireplace, would stay there again as great access to shops and restaurants within easy walking distance.

This was my first stay at the Banff Aspen Lodge. The entire hotel was recently renovated. The hot tubs were awesome. The breakfast was on par with other continental breakfasts but the coffee was good, not your usual left on a burner swill. The service as a whole was excellent as well. Really enjoyed my stay.

Excellent hotel close to all Banff amenities, the staff could not have been more helpful. The only way it could be improved would be to expand the breakfast menu to include a hot option, we had scrambled egg on the first day, but never saw it again. However, it is advertised as a Continental breakfast, and that was what we got.

Really good and nice hotel, I recommend. There was a outdoor hot tub and two saunas, breakfast was included and room was big and nice.

Close enough to walk to the heart of town (even in winter), far enough to be nice and quiet at night. Friendly staff. Two nice outdoor hot tubs: one very large one, one with a fireplace! The two queens beds in the room were actually separated by the bathroom, making it feel like a two-bedroom hotel room. A little odd, but very spacious. No complaints […] here! Lees meer

Spent the weekend with friends. Perfect location. Not right down town but only two blocks away. Didn't have to move the vehicle once all weekend. Hot tubs were very nice. Lots of room and sheltered from the wind. Loved the outdoor fireplace beside the hot tub. The room was great. Nicely decorated and very clean. Didn't notice any noise from the other […] rooms. There was a little noise from the hot tubs in the afternoon but it was fairly quiet in the evening. My only complaint was that the room hot. We had to turn the thermostat right down and open the door occasionally to cool off. The balcony was also a plus. Lees meer

Our room was clean and comfortable, building and hot tub was great but I didn't get much sleep. As a light sleeper i requested not to be near a elevator. We could hear EVERYTHING that happened and did not have a great sleep. There were lots of people partying so we were awake from 1:30 to 3:45 with groups of people coming back from the bar. Then 6:30 […] am I woke up again to people leaving their rooms. I would reccomend this hotel to people that don't mind this but it drove me crazy and i was exhausted the next day. It made my relaxing weekend stressful in the end... Lees meer

The hotel has the option when you're staying multiple days to choose to make a donation to the Friends of Banff National Park instead of having your room cleaned. They also have a list of good suggestions on how to conserve energy and resources while you're staying there. The breakfast was good with some variety in a hot dish - oatmeal, hard-boiled […] eggs, and scrambled eggs were the options I saw during a 1-week stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The onsite parking was limited during the busy holiday weekend but was no problem during the week. Lees meer

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay at Banff Aspen Lodge. The rooms were clean and spacious, with free wi-fi and an outdoor pool and jacuzzi too! The location is really quite convenient, only a few minutes from the centre of town and yet beautifully quiet and restful. Only slight downside was lack of bar/restaurant facilities onsite and slightly […] offhand manner of staff at reception. However, for the money, this hotel is great value and we'd recommend it to anyone who wants basic but good quality accommodation without paying for some of the 'frills' that more expensive hotels offer. I have to admit, i probably don't know that much about Hotels. But they room we had in this one was pretty great. Me and my husband were on our honeymoon. we liked it because it was in the middle of town, it had aa great continental breakfast, and the Hot tubs were right outside our room and every time we went in them, we were the only ones. Hotel room was clean and neat. You pay for what you get. The hotel wasn't expensive and the room was decent. Staff was friendly and I defintely recommend this hotel.

Great place to spend time.

Hotel was in a very convenient location ,only 5 minutes to downtown Banff. The hotel has a Boutique feel about it, nice big pillows and clean crisp sheets. The fixtures were very new and modern. Will stay again next time and hope to get the same room with sunny windows

This is a great Hotel all- around. Customer service wes great. Cont. breakfast was filling and good. The hot tubs where clean and relaxing.I think this hotel is all around a good place to stay. The only thing my husband and I found ,where that the bed where a little stiff.

The experience was great, the staff were nice and helpful. They gave us a room with a beautiful room. My only thing was that we should of called first about the hot tubs cause when we arrived they were under renovation which was a bit of a let down. But overall good times were had there.

Excellent stay!

Stayed for three nights in October 2011. Simply - great. Was upgraded to a room with a separate lounge room with verandah. The hotel was undergoing some basic repairs and maintenance when I was staying (oiling the wood, sanding, painting etc) but that was of no issue. the beds are comfortable. The rooms were clean. The bathroom is a tad on the small […] side but you can manage. Managed to park underground (limited). The hotel is excellently positioned to the main town on Banff (maybe 5min walk max to the dead centre). The staff were excellent and friendly. The FREE continental breakfast was simple yet adequate (fruit salad, toast, cereal, tea, coffee etc) and was nicely decorated in wood - very relaxing. Overall I was very impressed with this hotel and if I ever head back to Banff I will be back for sure Lees meer

Overall, a nice hotel with reasonable breakfast spread included in the room rate. The heater worked very well. It would be great if slippers were provided in the room as the tiled floor on the washing area and bathroom felt cold. The negative point was the room we had faced the traffic lights directly. The vehicles stopping and taking off at the lights […] could be disturbing when the balcony door was opened for ventilation. Lees meer

The hotel is on the main street, just outside of downtown Banff. It was quiet, no downtown nightlife noise. Room was clean - large and well appointed. Included free breakfast was toast, doughnuts, fruit, cereal. No hot foods - but that was OK with me. Staff was excellent - had a great stay.

Friendly staff. The room is large, and the furnishings are new. Only a short walk from the shops in Banff.

The people at this hotel have so much hospitality. We got engaged in banff january.2011, and decided to come back there in august for our honeymoon. The hotel staff are always curteous, rooms are clean, and outdoor hottubs.

I took my Mother to Banff for her 80th birthday. The room was excellent in that it had handicap amenities. The room was very spacious. the only negative was that some partiers were very loud at 2AM, and being on the ground floor with our patio door being open to cool off the room, we were awake from our sleep. We are a young couple and stayed for 4 nights at the Banff Aspen Lodge and it was overall an enjoyable stay. The rooms were very well kept and comfortable. Our room was lovely and was a corner room with a balcony and a nice view which we requested. Quiet time hours were not a problem at night, and street noise didn't bother us but if you're a light […] sleeper, you would probably opt for a room without a balcony that isn't facing a street. Breakfast was your average continental breakfast with a variety of bread, cereals, and fruit, and the staff was friendly. Understandably the Breakfast Room was busy in the mornings, but several of our mornings we had to wait for at least 10 minutes before being seated, as well as the line up behind us. Unfortunately, the large hot tub outside was out of order during our stay, but the small hot tub, sauna and steam room facilities were a great way to relax after a day of hiking or other activities. The location was great, in a nice neighborhood and only a five minute walk away from the main shopping area and restaurants. Also a two minute walk from a Safeway for groceries or snacks. Overall an enjoyable stay, the wifi worked well, the underground parking was nice to have the vehicle in at night, the staff were friendly and helpful, and I would recommend this hotel to others, as you get good value for what you pay.
