Furama City Centre in Singapore

Misschien ziet de buitenkant van dit hotel er niet meer zo mooi uit als de hotels in de buurt en zou ook het buitenzwembad een opknapbeurt mogen gebruiken, maar als dat niet belangrijk voor je is, dan is dit hotel een echte aanrader. We hebben een "deluxe arrangement" geboekt. Naast een prachtige grote suite op de hoogste verdieping met mooi uitzicht […] over de stad, hadden we ook recht op gratis drankjes rond het begin van de avond en we kregen er een gratis ontbijt bij. Fantastic hotel and a marvellous staff, but be ware of the restaurant Tiffany, we eat there and the food was not good.

I would not recommend this hotel following our recent experience. We were very disappointed with the level of service we received and the quality of accommodation. The room was very musty and sheets on the bed damp. The view was of the lobby and not the expected cityscape. Staff were very unfriendly and not approachable. Overall our stopover in Singapore was not as enjoyable as it could have been and for the rating and price this hotel is not good value for money. Good location and the room is spacious. However, no free wifi even in common area.

the hotel is over all vgood, internet was expensive, only priceplan was 24h or 7days for the wifi, therefor costs a lot to get to internet from your room but on the street in front of hotel is a FreeWifi ^^

Conveniently located within walking distance to China Town, Clarke Quay and other tourist sites. Public transport also readily available near the hotel. However, beware the extra taxi levy imposed in the CBD.

Nice, well maintained hotel, perfectly located at China Town, near MTR station. Well trained personnel with big sense of hospitality trying to resolve customers problems and make them feel home.

I was quite disappointed with this hotel. It is supposed to be 4 stars but felt like 2 and half. The room was clean enough but the corridors were smelly and the carpet felt a bit funny. The hotel is quite old and would need some painting. The mini bar was empty, has to requested from the room service. There was no bar by the pool and it was not possible […] to order any drinks to the pool even from the room service. Service was poor staff was rude. Air conditioning was not working. Had to change rooms in the middle of the night.

This is my second time staying in this hotel. I got a free upgraded to executive floor probably their cheaper room were full. If I were paying for executive floor I would say the room were a bit small (just a bit). Any other things were very good though. Everyone nice and clean. average hotel in Chinatown. clean and quite convenient.

It's always a good stay. The Furama City Center is always clean, the staff are always polite, some exceedingly so. The rooms are decent. I've had standard rooms and their suites. No are particularly exotic. The location is fantastic as it is very centralized and in walking distance to 24 hour restaurants and China Town as well as the CBD. Wonderful hotel & great location. Some breakfast items were unconventional, such as the 'beef bacon' which was actually thinly cut corned beef. This was my second stay. I will return.

I'm quite satisfied as the location is near to clarke quay. However, some staff at the reception counter are rude.

The Furama City Centre Hotel Singapore is close to the MRT Chinatown and the river. Overall it is in a very handy location. The staff are very helpful, we couldn't have asked for anything more.

When i request for check out at count, he din't give me any respond, so i repeat and request again. He Shout and use the bad manner to said " I'm doing" !!! When I request for Feedback form ... he still can feeling so proud and told me, his name is "B.R.A.N.D.O.N" !!! And Spelling out word by word. Please imaging how arrogant that he show to us. When i take the pen to another place (lobby area) for fillup feedback form, he still use loudly voice to stop me, and ask me put down the pen. In conclusion, there are absolutely poor services! Modern furnishing, clean room and good location, walking distance 3min to 2 MRT stations. Overall value for money. Free breakfast and internet access is a plus point. Will definitely stay here if travelling to Singapore in future.

I have no complaints. Very comfortable stay. You could even order up a specialty pillow of your choice (buckwheat, memory foam etc). Right in Chinatown, surrounded by awesome food and shopping. My room came with free breakfast buffet... good quality of food and variety. Just that some of the other guest were being piggies, but that's not really the […] hotel's fault. The hotel is not a 4* establishment. Two major problems are that it needs complete refurbishment and the Restraurant is too small to cope with numbers if guests at peak times. Location very good staff friendly. But it's badly needs a complete overhaul now!

awesome stay at Furama City Centre hotel during Chinese New Year. Could view fireworks from hotel room. :)

Great location , on edge of china town. Staff very helpful, clean modern updated room and comfortable bed. have stayed many times.

We enjoyed our stay in Furama. When we checked in, we got our room upgraded without any additional cost. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was widely varied. It's a walking distance to Chinatown MRT and also close to Clarke Quay.

Don't be fooled by the exterior of this hotel. While shabby and old looking, the rooms (at least the executive suite) is very well maintained =) I suppose the other rooms are all like that too... Not to mention the close walking distance from the MRT, this makes it a great place to recommend to friends who are coming to Singapore!

Booked the exc room to stay a night with my girlfriend on New Year Eve. Check in was done in the exc lounge which adds a personal touch and class as compare to check in counter. I was able to check in an hour earlier. The room allocated was at the highest floor 23rd story with very good view the flyers, 'durian' shape theatre etc. I'm very impress with […] the room as it was clean, non-smoking and comfortable.The hotel location was excellent. In short, we enjoyed our evening together with full view of the fireworks that night and felt the money was well-spent. Not to forget the complimentary buffet breakfast. Cheers ! Lees meer

The Exec club is definitely worth it and the staff superior. The front desk and normal service is only adequate but the Exec staff is top notch.

Great location for sightseeing / shopping in Chinatown and Clark Quay, as well as easy to walk to office / meetings.

It is quite central to all interesting places and the transportation within city. Rooms are clean, staff are helpful.

Loaction is great, next to 2 train stations. Chinatown & Clarke Quay just short distance walk. Low cost food centre just across the road. Hotel is ageing, so deco is outdated. But is clean & comfortable.The room rate is consider as high base on the condition of the hotel.

we were disappointed that the rooms were damp and smelt midewy. In actual fact there was mildew over the timber furnitiure. We were on a non smoking floor and had to keep the bathroom door closed as smoke from the floor above was coming through the bathroom vent.

Room was big for Singapore but Executive club was poor compared to Traders, only access is 5pm - 7pm Club staff very friendly, priority check in but not check out Service desk not very helpful

This hotel is ok but you could find better for the money. It took about 1 hour for them to find our reservation and get us checked in. The front desk was unfriendly and unhelpful, expecially when we were dressed in casual attire. The rooms are clean and the location to Chinatown and the public transporation is nice. I was really disappointed in this hotel. My first room had a filthy carpet and was beside lift shaft so I could get no sleep. When I was moved it was to a room with a (locked) adjoining room where I could hear everything through the walls. The hotel smelt of disinfectant. The biggest annoyance for me a business traveller was there was no free wifi and […] I was expected to pay a further $25 for it. Considering there are hotels down the road for a quarter of the price offering wifi, I think this is unreasonable.
