"Disappointing stay"
The location is in a rather drab industrial park and the hotel itself is a bit rundown and dare I say ugly. The positive of the location is that there is a cinema and leisure center with bowling and games across the street. The beds were a little uncomfortable and too short for me - I'm 6ft tall. In addition, breakfast was rather unpalatable - I would […] rather drive 10 kms to the nearest McDs and get breakfast there than eat at this restaurant. The only redeeming factor of this hotel is that there is a rather nice pool there which the family did enjoy. Also, management at the hotel was rather good. We had a problem that was gracefully taken care of by the mgmt team which did improve our opinion of our stay. Apart from that I can't really recommend this hotel to any of my friends. Lees meer

best place we have stayed at to date on our 6 week europe trip, if i had to give a negative it would be the small TV in a large room (tripple) and hard to see from the beds, otherwise great value

i love the sights view was exellent, the room was spacious, game room was fun my kids really love it.intact i and my family are planning to come and spent xmas holiday there if there is xmas offer. the service was perfect.

Thought Hotel was excellent however TV was poor. No Sky Network TV channell very limitied and even though our evening meal and service was brill thought the restaurant layout was rather bland plain and reminded me of a furniture shop showroom.

Fairly priced, however could be cheaper given the room was quiet small with large windows out on to a main road which required the curtains being pulled most of the time with very dim lighting also heating was on a timer and was pretty chilly. "Maldron Galway - Best hotel Ever!! (no joke)"
The staff were very pleasant. Our room was very clean and comfortable or the price we got it for we defiantly would go back again!! Lovely comfortable rooms, great facilities swimmimg pool, steam and sauna, bar and restuarant which we as a family made full use of. Great value breakfasts in the morning, could not fault the hotel will definately being staying again.

"Good basic hotel for families on a budget"
Maldron staff are very helpful and pleasant, the hotel is clean, the leisure centre and beauticians are great - but our family room was very small, the food is not great (after our first meal, we ate out for every other, including breakfast) and the hotel is situated in an industrial estate (!) miles from Galway city. Oranmore village is 1 km away with […] a pub that does freshly cooked, delicious breakfasts at half the price of the hotel. Only had one complaint over the times I have stayed at this hotel and I wrote it on a survey. It was that the bar menu never changed. I am delighted to say that there was a brand new bar menu this time. Well done!!

I would highly recommend this hotel to families. Great pool and facilities to keep kids busy! Great value for money. Staff very friendly and very willing to help with anything. Overall very satisfied.

Had a one night stopover for 3 adults - good value. Clean and comfortable room. Close to Motorway with bowling alley and cinema nearby. Breakfast served from 7.30am - had to leave at 7.00am so missed out!

nice hotel, but you will need transport to get aound. good pool and facilities. good food with reasonable bar prices.
I have stayed several times in this hotel and have no complaints about service etc. Just please would they change their bar menu occasionally.I now know it off by heart.

"Really Enjoyed Our Stay"
We loved the Hotel, found the cinema and bowling very convient as we did oranmore village. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and found them very child friendly. Really enjoyed our stay!
"Relaxing weekend away"
Very nice hotel. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Room very warm and clean. Only downside of whole weekend was having to listen to the entertainment in the bar in the form of some crooner dude on the Sat night as we were trying to sleep. Think he stopped around 1 though. Pool etc was lovely.

Enjoyed my stay @ your hotel. Bathroom noise from a fan was annoying, it seemed to be a central fan, over which I had no control, This did not last all night. Had no control over heat in room. Could not switch off radiator. Thankfully it did not stay on all night. Meal at night was super. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and room was fine. However, location was not the best. It was not within walking distance of the town. You needed a car to see the sights and get to restaurants, etc.

We spent a weekend at this hotel recently with our baby son who is just gone one.. The hotel is very family orientated and he loved the pool. Food and service were good, the only problem was that on both nights we were woken by late night revellers. We complained at reception and the duty manager apologised and said that she would speak with them, but […] the same thing happened the following night. Facility in industrial park next to dying retail centre (resturant closed, etc.) LOTS of road noise and no A/C so room ether quiet and hot (window closed) or cooler and noisy (window open.) Minimal cafe in hotel during the day. Room cleaning not thorough. Will not go back.

First they put us in a smoking room which was awful, but once they moved us to a non-smoking room the condition/cleanliness was much better. The hotel was large with a great restaurant and bar. My Husband and I stayed at the Maldron Hotel Galway recently (just to be near Galway before my hospital appointment the following Day).We were delighted with the leisure facilities and had a nice evening meal in the bar. Our room was very clean and comfortable - toiletories are stored in dispensers - lux, which i am allergic to ,so I luckly had my own […] to use. There was only One bath towel and two hand tools provided but possibly towels could be requested if desired. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel - its just about 10 / 12min drive into the city and its Great Value for money.Will stay there again for sure. Lees meer
