Sun & Ski Inn And Suites in Stowe

This place is supper cute! The staff is extremely nice they even directed us to and amazing place for dinner. That happened to be right next door. The room was very clean and had all we needed in it. Along with some very comfortable beds. We will most definitely be going back.

this motel was conveniently located, about 23 miles from the university in a quaint town that had lots to offer. Would return again when visiting my son at Norwich University.

Five minutes from the slopes of Stowe Mountain. Nice breakfast and library "common" area. Very friendly, helpful staff

We really enjoyed our stay at Sun & Ski. The room was a loft set up with a queen? (my hubby thought it was a double) downstairs and two doubles up stairs. The kids (two teen girls) loved having the big beds upstairs to themselves and we were comfy in ours downstairs. Breakfast is included and there is a mini frig in the room. You can park right at your […] door and there is even a little patio out back. That is important because who wants to lug all that stuff up stairs. The view out back was great, the mountain in the background and a stream a few feet away. The only weird thing is the TV was positioned right in front of the stairs. Seriously to see it well we would have to watch bleacher style with all of us lined up the stairs. But, we didn't go to watch TV so we didn't care. We went for the great skiing and the relaxation. For a basic, comfortable motel, this was good. The loft room had many beds and room to move for a family with 4 kids. The stairs were great to keep the energetic kids busy, they loved there private "hideaway" above. The location was convenient to the ski area and many restaurants. The room was comfortable and clean. The thermostat held the temperature exactly to the setting. Nice view of the river into the back yard. I enjoyed my stay.

The very few cons: -Cleaning staff could do better at knocking before opening the door. Knocking while you are opening the door isn't knocking. 'Oh I didn't realize you were in there' isn't a great excuse for that. -Seemed like it was hard to get a hold of someone late at night if you have a problem. By which, I mean someone was yelling and banging […] on the reception door at 2:30am and it was what felt like half and hour before I finally heard someone come out to help the guy. The many positives: -Recycling bin in the room. So few hotels have this. Help save the environment! -The room was very clean and all the furniture and fixtures were in in good condition. No shabby chairs or anything in disrepair. The sink was outside of the bathroom and seperated from the main room by a wall and had lights on a seperate switch. That let me sleep longer while my wife got up. -Breakfast was about as much as you could ask for from a hotel of their size. Bread/bagels, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, some baked goods (I had cinnamon buns every morning), coffee / juice. -Hot tub and pool area was well kept. We used the hot tub every day after skiing. Never went in the pool but its a good size and the pool enclosure was always nice and warm (the hot tub is actually outside, but still enclosed by windows and roofed over). -Great location as far as restaurants go, great choices going either way from the hotel and nothing more than a 2-3 minute drive. Nice view. Good location. Nice pool and hot tub. Great place to relax with friends after a day on the slopes. We will come back again. A little more variety in the continental breakfast would be appreciated.

I visited the Stowe area for week of skiing and found the Sun and Ski Inn to be centrally located, quiet (I was there midweek so there were few people), reasonably priced, and clean. The only real negative was the bed. The mattress was too soft, probably from age. Everything else was good.

This is a great and well priced place to stay in Stowe. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and very clean. The staff was friendly enough and the location was great as its within walking distance to several restaurants. Would definitely stay there again. About a 5 minute drive to the mountain.

Our superior room with 2 queen beds was completely fine for two adults and a 16year old with ski gear. It was brand new and we had enough room to store our equipment. The staff was excellent and very accommodating. The indoor pool and attached hot tub were clean and very warm after a very cold day on the mountain. A nice little breakfast area serving […] a good continental breakfast (delicious granola) and a lovely "living room" complete with sofa, chairs and a real crackling fireplace constantly maintained by staff. I thought Sun and Ski Inn offers great value. The rooms were recently renovated, beautiful, clean and fluffy bedding and with two double beds we had our two boys stay in our room. The Inn is simple but tasteful and the living room has a home feel to it, with fire in the fireplace at all times and freshly baked cookies and coffee as you get back from […] a day of skiing. We were very happy with our stay at the hotel. The hotel is centrally located and the hotel is in excellent condition. The only thing I would change is having a microwave in the room but they don't advertise that so its not a negative. We bought a microwave for $40 at Wal-Mart in Williston and since we flew Southwest we checked it through and brought […] it back. Who says you have to pay top $$$ for a great place. This place is affordable and overall a nice place. Only one minor complaint, I wish the beds were more comfortable. But, I was not here to sleep, I was here to ski and ride with my family. Thank You Sun and Ski for everything. Will stay again.

Me and my brother were very happy with the hotel, and how close it was to Stowe, being a few miles from us. Made the drive from Ontario, Canada so much more memorable, and even with the lack of snow, the prices were outstanding, and couldn't have asked for a better place. We will be visiting again with more in the coming weeks! Thank you :)

staff was very welcoming, informative, and helpful. breakfast was very good, a cut above typical continental breakfasts. room was updated and freshly painted. only downside was the faint smell of paint due to the remodeling. there was a fridge in the room; a microwave would have been nice. would definitely stay there again.

Unfortunate the staff is not enoug, and in sometimes when the customer need to ask for something the answer is to late. Also I can understand why the pool are close, because the hotel is to expensive. So the minimum service is that the pool is in service. My family and my are turist so we expect the best service

They are doing renovations to this hotel and we were lucky enough to get a room that had brand new furniture, flooring and bathroom. Definitely a good value for the price. Great location on Mountain Rd. The Innkeepers were very nice and personable. This a good place if you're on a budget and want to be close to all of the amenities of Stowe!

They appear to be renovating their soft goods....comforters, pillows, changing lamps, etc. the bathrooms have been redone. Very convenient. The breakfast has juice, oatmeal, a hot dish, breads, bagels, fruit, yogurt, granola, etc. Would definitely stay again

Large comfortable room which could be improved by replacing the dark quilted bed spreads which made it look a bit dated. Breakfast adequate but limited. Quite well placed and staff helpful and friendly.

We loved the location of Sun and Ski. Right in the middle of everything, between town and mountain and amongst all the restaurants on Moutain Rd. it is also in a beautiful setting. Each rooms has its own little patio on a large yard and prover. Gorgeous. They have a decent continental breakfast and a mini golf course on site. My biggest complaint is […] with how old everything in the room is. Decor was old. Shower curtains looked like they were from a hospital in the 70's. the shower liner looked it had been there for years. It was moldy on e bottom. It kind of grossed me out. That being said, my husband and I would absolutely go back. I would probably bring my own shower curtain but we loved the view, location, the awesome home made oatmeal cookies at the front desk, and the friendly, helpful staff. This is a charming small hotel nestled snuggly on mountain road just below smugglers notch, convenient to everything. This hotel is a good facility, but it is a bit on the tired side. Since we were here for only one night, it was certainly adequate. I am not sure I would have wanted to make this a vacation stay site.

I knew the stay would be good when the receptionist told us that there was a fireplace set at breakfast and in the afternoon. The dining room and the sitting/reading room were beautiful and the views were great. There's a cat who lives at the hotel who was so sweet. Beds were surprisingly comfortable, and room was fine. A little outdated, but very clean and nice. Breakfast was very convenient, and would have been better with fruit, but no complaints there either. Yummy granola for the oatmeal. Saved us from searching for a place to eat.
