Dit hotel ligt vlak bij de luchthaven en dus ideaal wanneer je vlucht de volgende ochtend vroeg vertrekt. De kamers zijn comfortabel en proper, de mensen van de receptie zeer behulpzaam. Er is een shuttle van en naar de luchthaven en van daaruit kan je de light rail naar het centrum nemen. Je bent dan wel bijna een uur onderweg...

Het hotel zag er mooi uit, zowel van buiten als van binnen. Eigenlijk zijn wij niet anders gewend van dit hotelketen. De badkamer met wastafel in één kamer (hadden wij niet in de vorige hotels) beviel goed. Wij hadden een kamer voor niet-rokers, maar er hing een vage rokerslucht in de kamer. Met het schaamrood op de kaken probeerde de receptie dit te herstellen. Opgelost middels citroen verfrisser: wellicht toch ontstaan door de kleding van een zware roker vóór ons. De bedden waren perfect en wifi en de beschikbare parkeerruimte waren goed. We hebben door een technische storing een dag zonder wifi gezeten: erg vervelend maar éénmalig. Het raam kon open voor frisse lucht en geluiden uit de natuur: prettig. Het ontbijt was basic (continental breakfast), maar goed genoeg om de dag te beginnen. Het personeel was echter steeds vriendelijk en gaf je een goed thuisgevoel. Wij zijn hier 6 nachten gebleven. Al met al was het een plezierig verblijf in een rustige omgeving: ik zou hier zeker terugkomen.

Het hotel zag er netjes uit, zowel van buiten als van binnen. De kamer en de badkamer waren klein, maar OK. De overige zaken, zoals wifi en parkeerruimte waren goed. De airco was echter luidruchtig en met het raam open was er veel overlast van het verkeer. Het ontbijt was basic, maar goed verzorgd met dagelijks vers fruit. Het personeel was echter steeds vriendelijk en gaf je een goed thuisgevoel. Het hotel ligt niet ver van de Alderwood mall. Wij zijn hier 3 nachten gebleven. Ondanks de kleine kamer en kleine minpunten zou ik hier zeker terugkomen.

Exactly what you'd expect of the hotel. Basic, but clean. Free basic breakfast and a shuttle to the airport every half hour. If you want to watch TV, there are enough channels. In a nuttshell: a good place to stay a few days or just overnight if you have a flight the next day.

Ligging.
Mediterranean Inn bevindt zich in het centrum van Seattle. dit hotel is een op zaken ingestelde accommodatie in de buurt van Key Arena, Seattle Center en Space Needle. In de buurt bevinden zich ook Marion Oliver McCaw Hall en Experience Music Project Museum.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Mediterranean Inn heeft een healthclub en een fitnesscentrum. Tegen betaling is in openbare ruimtes snel internet (draadloos of via de kabel) beschikbaar. De accommodatie beschikt over een werkstation. Bedrijfsvoorzieningen zijn onder andere een businesscentrum dat 24 uur per dag open is, vergaderruimtes voor kleine groepen en audiovisuele apparatuur. Dit hotel (een op zaken ingestelde accommodatie) heeft een koffiegelegenheid. Parkeerruimte is (tegen betaling)beschikbaar, maar beperkt.Het personeel kan op verzoek een conciërgeservice, bedrijfsgerelateerde dienstverleningen en hulp bij excursies regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een dakterras, meertalig personeel en een wasserij. Dit is een rookvrije accommodatie.

Mediterranean Inn heeft 180 kamers met koffie/theevoorzieningen en een haardroger. Elke 32-inch lcd-televisie wordt geleverd met premiumkanalen via de satelliet, een gratis filmkanaal en een dvd-speler. Elke accommodatie beschikt over een bureau, ergonomische stoelen en een telefoon met directe buitenlijn met voicemail. Gasten kunnen tegen betaling gebruikmaken van internet (draadloos of via de kabel) op de kamer. Alle bedden hebben een pillowtop-matras. Alle units hebben een kitchenette met een magnetron en een koelkast. Elke badkamer is voorzien van een bad/douchecombinatie en gratis toiletartikelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een strijkplank/strijkijzer en een plafondventilator. In Mediterranean Inn mag niet op de kamers worden gerookt.

De beeldende Space Needle staat in Seattle Center, twee minuten rijden met de monorail vanuit het centrum. Zowel de trein als de toren zijn in 1962 gebouwd voor de World's Fair. Het Seattle Center biedt opera, ballet en theater, en je vindt er de Key Arena, het Pacific Science Center en het Experience Music Project. Het naburige negen are grote Olympic Sculpture Park zorgt voor een onderbreking. Je hebt er bij de waterkant uitzicht op de Olympic Mountains.

"Het Meditterenean in een leuke buurt van Seattle"
Het is een degelijk goed hotel, in een leuke buurt, wel iets verwijderd van Downtown. Prettige service en o.k. voorzieningen. De kamer aan de straat (Queen Anne) was wel wat rumoerig.
"Aangenaam verblijf in Mediterranean Inn, Seattle"
De Meditteranean Inn in Seattle is een comfortabel hotel, vlakbij Seattle Center (o.a. Space Needle) gelegen. Hotel is rookvrij zoals de meeste hotels in de V.S., maar op het dakterras mag gerookt worden en heb je een mooi uitzicht over Seattle. Kamers zijn van alle gemakken voorzien: o.a. keukentje met koffiezetapparaat, koelkast en magnetron. Koffie […] en mineraalwater wordt dagelijks aangevuld. Voor de liefhebbers is er een strijkijzer en strijkplank. Er is geen restaurant in het hotel, wel een inpandige Starbucks. Voor het ontbijt kunnen we van harte Toulouse Petit Kitchen and Lounge aanbevelen: heerlijke koffie en lekkere ontbijtjes in een informele omgeving waar ook veel "locals" komen. In weekend erg druk: reserveren aanbevolen. Tegenover hotel is er een Safeway supermarkt, waar je echt alles kunt kopen. Ook warme maaltijden en lekkere broodjes die je zelf kunt samenstellen. In het hotel mag je gratis gebruik maken van computers, printers en internet. Auto kun je in hun eigen parkeergarage parkeren voor € 15,-- per dag (is wel passen en meten). Lees meer

"Great Stay"
Had a quick trip to Seattle where I was conveniently located right downtown. Was easy to find, great service, great room...I'd definitely book my next stay at the hotel!
Staff was outstanding. Their helpfulness and cheerful greetings were wonderful in setting the mood. For our purposes the location with Safeway across the street, several food services in the area and being within walking distance of many attractions was ideal.

I would defiantly recommend the Mediterranean Inn. Walking distance to some great local restaurants, Seattle Center and Pike Place Market. The view from the roof is absolutely incredible!!!

Everyone at the front desk was very helpful, energetic, and nice! They all seemed happy to be there and knew a lot about the surrounding area and how to get there.

"Rough start"
When we checked into our room, there was no heat and the window didn't close, and we overlooked the alley. The desk clerk was rather brusque, but got us another room on the 6th floor overlooking the street. But when we went to open the door, it wasn't locked and we discovered it didn't latch tightly at all. When the clerk was notified again, he got […] grumpy and complained (jokingly) that we were being difficult. We moved to the room down the hall (in room safe didn't work, but we decided we had caused enough drama). After that, things were ok. The hotel has some positive things, but not a good way to start off a guests experience. POSITIVES: close to Seattle City Center, Clean rooms, funky cool neighborhood, lots of amenities close by (grocery store, great local restaurants, etc.) Starbucks in the lobby, GREAT VIEWS from the roof top deck. CONS: not a luxury hotel/rooms on the smallish/basic side; A little far away from the downtown core (but very close to great bus line); No free parking; no free wifi; no "guest amenities" (no pool, no breakfast, etc - just fyi) Lees meer

"Convenient location"
Great hotel for the price and area. The service at the front desk was outstanding, one person in particular made us feel welcomed like old friends. Hotel was very clean and the roof deck was awesome. Will definitely stay here again.

The Mediterranean Inn is a jewel in the heart of the Queen Anne District, easy walk to several interesting and affordable restaurants and also close to mass transit monorail system. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We checked in at 4 a.m. and everything was ready for us, no surprises. Room was nice and clean, a Starbucks next door was a plus.

"Mediterranean: Affordable comfort"
Mediterranean is a very clean and comfortable hotel. The staff is wonderful. The rooftop view is sensational. While the rooms are a bit on the small size, they do offer peace and quiet. The neighborhood has one of the best restaurants in Seattle, the Toulouse Petit and an eclectic mix of different other stores. Its close proximity to the Space Needle […] make it easy access to the Center area, as well as downtown via monorail, bus or cab. You can't argue about its price. Unbelievable the obvious things they miss. Curtains that dont block light for late sleepers, toiletries in hard, round bottles you cannot squeeze, so you stand in the shower for 20 min shaking it, trying to get some damned shampoo, no signs saying which direction your room is...but, I liked the gym, and the very friendly and helpful gay gentleman at […] the desk, who was the opposite of every other bored employee I dealt with. "A great option!"
Located near all the big tourist sites (Space Needle, EMP, etc) - and getting a great special deal on Hotels.com, I couldn't be happier. The room comes with a small fridge and microwave - so it must be suited to the business traveller. The one downside we experienced was they were wallpapering the entire downstairs during out stay. I understand the […] need for repairs, but it was never warned of and did keep us from being able to use the elevators at times. And, at this point, in-room wifi should definitely be free. But! "Great stay, great price"
It's not a high-end, boutique hotel, BUT, the price was great, the customer service was exceptional (some of the most friendly front end staff I've ever had) and the hotel was clean and comfortable. It's also a great location - close to downtown, but not too close :)

"Downtown location"
The front desk staff was polite and courteous. No problems there. We were a little bit disappointed otherwise though - it felt like there were short-cuts made to our service because maybe the hotel was trying to meet a budget. I would have rather paid $10 more for the night and had good quality soaps, shampoos and other toiletries available for use... […] The set up in our bathroom was also a bit odd - there was plenty of room, but only a thin 3 1/2 - 4 inch shelf in front of the mirror to hold my grooming supplies. My hair straightener kept falling off the shelf, and I had to put my grooming case on the back of the toilet, there was no way to accommodate it elsewhere. Also, the vending machines only sold junk food. Since the rooms have microwave ovens, it would be so great if they sold microwaveable snacks, and other healthy snacks. And while you're at it, why not make real creamers available to put in our morning coffee? No problem if they're only available downstairs, but please make them an option. Last but not least, the oilpan on my Camry suffered some insult from the very short, steep exit ramp from the parkade. Ouch. We had to have all luggage and passengers but the driver exit the vehicle to prevent this happening, and manoeuvre the vehicle ever so carefully to not have it scrape bottom. I cannot imagine if we had more luggage or were overweight ourselves, or if our car was a low-rider... i expect we would have lost the oil pan altogether. Lees meer
"Affordable basic hotel"
If you are an experienced business traveler, this hotel is not for you. This is a pretty basic and affordable hotel for families. The room is quite clean but don't expect any other fancy amenities. TV, bedding and furniture are very basic, so I would say that it's a tad better than a motel but definitely not close to being a 3 star hotel.

Great clean hotel-excellent neighborhood with numerous restaurants, wonderful roof top space, walking distance to Seattle Center, Downtown, Pike Street Market. The Queen Anne side is noisy at night from street traffic. We will visit again!

We have stayed here many times. This time, we got the smallest room ever. It was OK for the price we paid. I was also surprised that it had no A/C. We had an unusually warm weekend for April but we kept windows open and fan on while out and it was fine. We did have a maintenance issue and it was (somewhat) addressed immediately. The hinges on the bathroom […] door squeaked when it was opened or closed. I reported it in the morning and it had been addressed when we returned. It still squeaked a little and got progressively worse but not like at first. The bed was comfortable but I recommend that you bring your own pillows if this is convenient as theirs are really poor. "Best View of Downtown Seattle & Elliott Bay"
Excellent, quiet hotel that reminded me of hotels in Europe. We had a small room with a microwave, refrigerator and Starbucks coffee. We were greeted by a very friendly front desk clerk and we loved the location on Queen Anne hill. They had bikes available for rent, a parking garage for a small fee and for a hotel that was full it was very quiet. The […] best feature was the rooftop view of Elliott Bay, Downtown Seattle and the Space Needle. We also found the Safeway store less than a block away for snacks. The hotel is strategically located to be close to the downtown and also some landmarks. Although it does seem little secluded at night.
This hotel was a great value for my 4 day stay for a seminar. I was able to easily catch buses and walk downtown and back. The hotel had its share of lively and eccentric guests. The front desk staff were always friendly and helpful. Iconic Dick's provided cheap and delicious cheeseburgers and shakes for late night munchies. The hotel was super cute and the staff were all very knowledgeable and friendly, offered us printed directions to anywhere we wanted to go. The location of the hotel was perfect for us, we didn't have to drive anywhere! We walked to the monorail located at the base of the space needle and it was really cheap and took us right into the heart of downtown. […] We were in Seattle for some shopping and a Mariner's game. "A good choice - close to everything"
The Mediterranean Inn is reasonably priced and our first choice when we stay in Seattle. The friendly service behind the counter is great. We love the roof top access and the view of Seattle and Elliott Bay is fabulous, not to mention Starbucks is attached to the lobby. Though not downtown it was close to the Space Needle and the monorail so it WAS minutes from downtwn without all the noise/traffic.

When I first tried to check in to the room I was a little early so the room wasn't ready. No big deal but the man working at the front desk refused to call me when my room was ready. The customer service is terrible in my eyes. The room was as equal to the customer service. My room was around 80 degrees with no ac. This hotel must have once been the flagship of the Queen Anne district. It has wonderful historic charm, incredible roof-top view of the skyscape, walking distance from the mono-rail and Space Needle, children's museum and Key Arena. It is an older hotel though, room was small but had small kitchenette. Starbucks next door is big plus though.
I was very dissappointed with the size of the room; we got a double bed and the room was very very small. In addition, we had to pay for WIFI, pretty much all the hotels nowdays offer free internet service. We also had to pay for parking which is OK. Lastly, the hotel did not even have complimentary coffee in the lobby.

Location, location, location! If you are wanting to visit Seattle Center (Space Needle, Key Arena, EMP, etc) this is the place for you. Just a block and a half over from all the places you'd like to see. Also, a quick trip to Mercer and lots of dining options await. The hotel also has a gorgeous observation deck/patio looking out at the bay. Drawbacks: […] Directional signing when you come off the elevator - there isn't any. You'll have to track your room down by intuition. Decor of the rooms is slightly dated, but the beds were decently comfortable. Pay for wi-fi? Should be an included amenity. All in all, though, very satisfied with my stay. Staff was very helpful and friendly, and will help you find what you are looking for. They even let me check in 3 hours early. The staff, especially the cleaning staff, were amazing. They were so helpful and sweet. The hotel comfort and location were wonderful. We will absolutely stay here again. My only minor complaint is: the hotel room was kept way too hot, but we survived. My only big complaint was: the crib was not a crib but a pack n play. Any parent can tell you this […] is a major difference. Great well priced hotel in a wonderful neighborhood with lots of choices of restaurants nearby, even a cine-arts theater 1/2 block away.
