Microtel Inn & Suites - Fort Worth Stockyard in Fort Worth

Had problem with towel replacement in room. Housekeeping did not /could not understand 4 washcloths.

The room itself was fine. It had a small fridge and microwave. They had a pool and breakfast bar as well. The breakfast was basic continental with addition of waffles. We did have implications over the quality of service and basic maintenane of hotel as far as outside doors not working properly. I booked 2 mths n advance, and ended up with handicap room. Only complaint other than tv was put on top of cabinet and tilted sideways

when we arrived, there was this gross brown and black stuff under the drain plate of the tub. I did not want to touch it. The toilet seat and lid was worn and PAINTED instead of being replaced. The TV's speakers were blown and sounded like the microphone deal on the Peanuts movies. It was NOT worth the price we paid for it.

This hotel is located in a good area with plenty of shopping and dining available close by. The room was clean and much nicer than other hotels I have stayed in for much higher rates.

I think it is a true statement that you get what you pay for, most of the time. That is the case for my stay at this Microtel. It was fine for what I needed and for what I paid. But the hallways were not feeling fresh or clean, the room had a bit of a musty odor, and the place felt ripe for a renovation. The room, itself was spacious, there was quite a bit of storage, and it was cleaned well each day.... the tv was definitely not flat-screen, but worked well - and included HBO and some movies. The hallway and elevator had a horrible smell. The bed had my fiance itching when he woke up and the toliet was broken and ran all night. Breakfast was soggy waffles made with watered down batter and the juice machine had been watered down too. The Apple juice taste like water you had washed an Apple in, even the fruit was spoiled. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. I'm very picky with cleanliness & found it to my liking. Traveled with my mom and young daughter.

Nice hotel, but the road to it is under construction. Also the bed was very uncomfortable, but the room was nice and clean. Not bad.

The staff at Microtel was very helpful. The attendant on the night we stayed was very nice and helpful

A very pleasant stay for a very affordable price. Really liked the breakfast.

the bed was hard, I payed extra (only a few dollars) for the "Elegant" room. The walls were scuffed and the room smelled like smoke (non-smoking hotel). The door to the bathroom was all split at the bottom, and the carpet was frayed, and stained a lot in the hallways. I thought they had redone it, and I do not think it's finished by any means. Then […] we were told that there was a gift waiting for us at sign in, and we were informed that that hasn't been the case in a long time,but the manager has not taken it off the website. The girls work hard with check in and out while looking after the breakfast. Then we saw the girl washing the floor. They were very nice and helpful.

Staff was very accomodating. First room was not clean. Sheets stained and fold out bed had blood stains on the mattress. No problem in switching to a new room.

The Hotel staff was VERY Pleasant and friendly! They just need to finish renovating the third floor. Needs new carpet in halls and rooms.They should up-grade the rooms with Flat-panel tvs! But the room was very comfortable. It had a mini-kitchen which included a mini-frige and microwave oven! Would stay again! Enjoyed the Free Continental breakfast […] and the FREE Wi-Fi ! Lees meer

The room and personnel was great. The continental breakfast was almost gone by the time we showed up but was good. Didn't have any problems with my dog. I would recommend to anybody - the price is good

We stayed two nights at this hotel. The hotel overall was great. The distance from the Stockyard area was a little farther than we had hoped for but not a real problem. We had coffee in our room the first morning, and for the 2nd morning, the coffee pot was still dirty, along with the cups and there was not more coffee. Everything was good except for a couple of things. The pillows were very uncomfortable and we were unable to order movies. Other than that, the staff was very friendly and rooms were clean.

The room was very nice and we heard no outside noise with the sound proof walls. All in all we will use this hotel again

The Microtel Inn & Suites-Fort Woth Stock Yards was a great suprise to us as we stayed there during the Stock Show. It was easy to get to as well as comfortable for relaxing after a long day in the Barn. The staff was very plesant and willing to serve I will use them again.

Cons: Construction work surrounding the area. Pros: Very nice room, helpful clerk, quiet, and very cozy.

I stay at this hotel about once a month. They have updated lobby and painted hallways....i'm hoping the rooms are next. Very convenient location, very friendly staff....never had a problem.

Overall my stay was enjoyable. The room had all the amenities I needed. I could tell things were newly updated. The one exception appears to be not yet replacing the carpeting on the first floor. It appeared worn.

The bed was very comfortable. I usually wake up in the middle of the night because the bed is not my bed from home, but I slept through the night. The room was moderately clean as was the lobby and vending areas.

When we arrived, the lobby was torn up and dust was all over everything. On our way to our room, the carpet in the hallway was badly stained and smelled. Once in the room, we noticed the smell also, the stains on the carpet and that the bed had not been made. We left immediately, and we were assured that we would receive our money back. However, they […] did not keep computer records that said we did not stay that night and we were charged even after being assured we would not be. This is the worst hotel experience I have every had. Everything was fine excepting the morning of check-out. We had car trouble and had to take our truck to a shop for repair. We asked for check-out to be extended for a couple of hours in case we could not pick up our truck until after 12:00 PM. The hotel rejected our request stating they needed the rooms. It's practical for a quick overnight snooze and place to shower and a low price. But you get what you pay for. The customer service and their accommodating is pleasant; however, I reserved a non smoking room and the room given to me had definitely been smoked in recently. When I asked for a different room because they mistakenly gave me a smoked in […] room, I was told the whole hotel is non smoking inside. It just sort of proves they don't really pay attention or care to improve the room quality or smell. And the comforter was pretty gross..needed dry cleaning desperately. Luckily I get warm when I sleep and did not need it for warmth. My clothes all smelled when I left there; I had to air out my clothes and luggage when I arrived home. But like I said, you get what you pay for and the service is nice so its difficult to complain when the cost is so low for a night stay. Lees meer

This is my second stay at this hotel in the past 2 years. Yes, it's a few extra miles to the Stockyards, but worth it. Last year we stayed in a smaller hotel in the Stockyards and this Microtel exceeds it in quality bar-none. On both stays here, the rooms were very clean and well kept. The tubs were clean enough, I didn't worry about bathing my child […] in them. I like the fact that the suites also include a decent size fridge and microwave as well as a pull-out couch. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone visiting the Stockyards and not wanting to pay $200+ a night. Lees meer

A friend and I were in FW for a convention and the host hotel was full, so I booked Microtel. The hotel was super clean and the room was very comfortable for the two of us. No complaints whatsoever. The neighborhood was filled with several other hotels and restaurants, so we felt very safe. The complimentary breakfast was the usual danish/waffle/cereal […] and was appreciated. It was near the freeway and we were at the host hotel in less than 10 minutes. Very pleased! Staff very nice! Lees meer
