ik was zeer verbaasd over het gebrek aan gratis WiFi. Ik moest daarvoor betalen. Dit vind ik zeer vreemd gezien de hoge prijs die ik al betaal voor de kamer. Daarnaast werd me verteld dat er wel gratis WiFi was in de lobby, maar dit bleek niet te werken (na 10 minuten wachten met laden nog steeds geen resultaat). Kamer is netjes en schoon. In het hele hotel hangt een muffe en bedwelmende lucht. Het ontbijt is zeer karig, als het al goed zou zijn vergaat je de eetlust door de indringende en penetrante muffe geur. De kamer is vrij sober en ziet er verouderd uit. Kan wel een opknapbeurt gebruiken! Was wel schoon. Bij ons zat het ontbijt niet inbegrepen, maar voor degene die het er wel bij hadden betekende dit in de lobby een kopje koffie/thee met donuts en andere zoetigheden. Good location but at check-in the person didn't look at us while talking to the phone. No friendly smile or anything to let us know we are recognized. Also English was very poor. We didn't got the feeling we were very welcome there.

Prima en betaalbaar hotel voor een paar dagen SF. Goed gelegen en alles netjes. Bedden en badkamer waren goed en schoon. 's Ochtends was er koffie, thee, croissants en andere zoete ontbijtkoeken, voor ons meer dan oke. Zeker, omdat de reservering zonder ontbijt was.

Netjes hotel, kan nog wat onderhoud gebruiken. Voor een verblijf van 2 nachten prima. De locatie is perfect. Vlakbij Union Square en de cable car naar de Fishermans Warf. Ontbijt niet teveel van verwachten. Koffie + croissants in de lobby.

Het is vooral de locatie in combinatie met de prijs wat dit hotel aantrekkelijk maakt. De kamers zijn niet bijzonder, wel schoon, maar bv een klein bed en een oude tv. This is a nice, basic hotel. The staff was friendly. The provided breakfast (coffee and danish) was small, but fresh. The room looked a little out of date, but was clean. There were no extras at this hotel (e.g. no coffee maker, shampoo/soap were in wall containers, etc...). However, the location was excellent - close to Union Square and Chinatown.

Basic, clean, value-based rooms. Quiet. Friendly, helpful staff available 24 hrs. Outstanding location close to good, reasonable restaurants and my meeting hotel on Nob Hill for 1/3 the cost. This hotel is only a few blocks from Union Square (to the south) and Chinatown (to the north), great price for the great location. It looks like a house that had been modified into the hotel. Chinese owner. Even one was nice enough but not very helpful. Asked them how do you get to Muir Woods? Don't know. How can you not know living in San Francisco? […] Then the toilet got clogged, the guy at the front desk made a face and said he can't leave the front desk that we need to wait until 10AM. 10AM came the guy said he can't do it he needs to call the maintenance guy. What a fantastic location! Literally metres from the tram to Fishermans Wharf or Market Street. Obviously an old hotel, however clean rooms & linen, fresh paint & a competitive rate. The Grant is a cute little hotel in a great location, with plenty of restaurant and shopping options nearby. The accommodations are perfectly adequate and comfortable, and the morning coffee and pastries are pleasant.

We looked at staying in the Tenderloin District with our toddler and we a very glad we chose to be between Nob Hill and Union Square instead. There are other great hotels in the neighborhood but very Grant Hotel was great. Close to Walgreens and Starbucks for quick needs, friendly, helpful, and light breakfast was tasty.

Friendly staff a basic but good breakfast clean sheets and room, the water in the shower took time to warm up depending time of day. Location was excellent. Can jump on the cable car on the adjoining street, or even walk to the Powell St stop where you can see the cable car turn around. The hotel & rooms are really well maintained. The room and bathroom size were ample (I stayed in a double-bed room with private bath). But beware - walls are paper thin and you can definitely hear […] your neighbours talking and moving around. And worst of all are the sound of the pipes when other guests are showering. The sound of the rattling pipes and surging water is extremely loud, so I wouldn't recommend this hotel to light sleepers. Lastly I gave a score of 3 for service. During my 2 night stay, I dealt with 3 different front desk staff. The service ranged from an extremely helpful & cheery receptionist, to a guy who was completely put off when he had to remove his earphones to give me the wifi password. Lees meer

Quaint and charming, but do not expect more than necessary.No Kleenex (the maid handed me a roll of toilet paper instead) in room or bathroom, no hair dryer for instance.

This was a perfect place close to everything, parking across the street, room were good size for the price, best night sleep. Compared to the other hotels that are over priced this was perfect I will for sure come back again had a great time.

Great location, just a block from Powell street.The facilities are well maintained and cleaned. However I reserved this Hotel, because it provides free breakfast, however, it was very poor; Coffee or tea and pastries. Pastries were good but coffee wasn't. The coffee vendor machine had 3 free options and 3 others for a dollar charge.

This is great location if you plan on just sleeping there. The Wi-Fi in the lobby is terribly slow, but they do have two computers there for guests to use instead. The breakfast is just coffee and pre-packaged pastries, but overall the place is very clean and the staff is friendly.

The room was as expected for a 2-star hotel room, beds, TV etc in place, outdated decor and stained tiles in the bathroom, but it was reasonably clean. Location is great for Union Square, although the neighbouring XXX theatre detracts. Helpful staff.

Location and Price are good, simple hotel only a basic room. Breakfast is just a a cup of coffee or croissant nad the re is no dining room available. The hotel is good depending on your expectations.

If you are not looking for luxury, this was a basic and clean hotel in a great location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The price was right and it was great value for the money. I would definitely go here again.

The hotel room was like a college hostel...with bed, TV and a dirty table. Toilet was OK. There was no AC. Carpet was like a hard jute which can injure the kids. No room service. The elevator used to give jerks. Breakfast was just tea/coffee and few breads. They tool $23 per day extra for parking.
