Terracarribe is een zeer net hotel met zeer vriendelijk personeel. spijtig van de ligging die 20 minuten te voet van een klein strand is en 30 taxi (150 pesos) van de mooie stranden. Maar de charme van het hotel maakt veel goed. Spijtig dat op Kerstavond en kerstdag, bar en restaurant gesloten was. Anders geen opmerking. Klein proper zwembad en goede jacuzi.

Onze keus ging uit naar een Hotel in het Centrum van Cancun. Vooral in de Kersttijd is de omgeving heel aantrekkelijk. Het plein met de kerk een perfecte plek om mexicanen te ontmoeten. Bij het gemeentehuis had men zelfs een ijsbaan gemaakt en waren er iedere avond feestelijke activiteiten. Wil en José, Leiden. 8 januari 2012

Eerste keer Cancun, dus het ene hotel na het andere, wat kies je dan? Na lang zoeken werd het de Beach Palace! Blij dat we die keuze gemaakt hebben. Wij zijn helemaal onder de indruk van de Palace hotels! Wat een service, wat een vriendelijkheid, wat een kamer, lekker eten, lekkere drankjes, alles netjes en op de koop toe kregen we nog eens "resortcredit" we hadden 2500$ ter beschikking dat we konden gebruiken voor uitstappen, kreeften diner, zwemmen met dolfijnen, golf, betere kamer, spa (waarvan wel maar 500$)! Wij hebben genoten van de beste massage ooit, kapper, pedicure, fantastische uitstappen, kreeft en champagne op het strand, golf initiatie,... en met het totaal van 0€ extra kosten! Nog nooit meegemaakt! En zoals eerder gezegd was dit nog eens een fantastische all inclusive, in plaats van een drankje te vragen moest je zeggen "No more"!! Wij hebben ook nog een bezoekje gebracht aan 4 andere Palace Resorts, met voor ieder wat wils, maar wij waren blij met onze keuze! Het zwembad op het dak was een enorme meerwaarde. Bedankt voor een toffe vakantie!!!
Ligging.
Marriott CasaMagna Resort Cancun ligt aan het strand in Cancún-hotelzone in Cancún, dicht bij Aquaworld, Strand Delfines en Winkelcentrum La Isla. Andere bezienswaardigheden in de buurt van dit resort met alles inbegrepen zijn Ruïnes van El Rey en Luxury Avenue.
Resortvoorzieningen.
Dit resort heeft zowel all-inclusive als exclusieve kamertarieven. Bij all-inclusive tarieven zijn maaltijden en drankjes in plaatselijke restaurants inbegrepen. Maaltijden in bepaalde restaurants, speciale diners en gerechten, bepaalde drankjes en andere voorzieningen worden mogelijk in rekening gebracht.
Marriott CasaMagna Resort Cancun heeft een healthclub, een buitenzwembad en een spabad. In alle openbare ruimtes kan je tegen betaling de draadloze internetverbinding gebruiken. De zakelijke voorzieningen bij deze 4-sterrenaccommodatie zijn onder andere een businesscentrum, vergaderruimtes voor kleine groepen en vergaderruimtes. Evenementfaciliteiten zijn een ballroom, tentoonstellingsruimte en conferentieruimtes. Dit resort bij het strand heeft een restaurant, een zwembadbar en een bar/lounge. Het personeel kan op verzoek een huwelijksservice, een cateringdienst voor evenementen en zakelijke diensten regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een kinderzwembad, een dakterras en een fitnesscentrum. Parkeren op locatie is gratis.

Marriott CasaMagna Resort Cancun heeft 452 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een minibar en een kluis. Een snelle draadloze internetverbinding is bij betaling beschikbaar. Elke televisie heeft premium kabel/satellietzenders en betaalfilms. Elke accommodatie biedt een bureau en een gratis krant. Elke badkamer is voorzien van een bad/douchecombinatie, een föhn en gratis toiletartikelen.
Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een strijkplank/strijkijzer en openslaande ramen. Bovendien kun je op verzoek gebruikmaken van voorzieningen zoals massagebehandelingen op de kamer en een telefonische wekdienst. Een turndownservice wordt elke avond aangeboden en een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag in rekening worden gebracht.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.

De Cancun Hotel Zone ligt op een stuk land tussen een lagune en de hemelsblauwe wateren van de Caribische Zee. Zonnebaders bevolken de witte zandstranden. 's Nachts verplaatst de actie zich naar de restaurants, clubs en bars aan de Boulevard Kukulcán, de belangrijkste ader van de stad. Deze weg loopt langs de ruïnes van El Rey, waarvan beweerd wordt dat het de tombe van een koning is.

Very nice hotel. Not too big like the rest of the hotel zone. So quieter. Would recommend for couples or singles (over the age of 26). Beds are uber comfy too. Worth every penny!
"Casa Magna Cancun-excellent all inclusive package"
I would highly recommend the all inclusive package unless you plan to leave the resort a lot. It included all meals, drinks (including rail drinks) as well as the kids' club, and discounts in the store. The hotel is located just on the beach and our room had a great view of the Carribean. "Nice Hotel - Service - Not Dependable"
The hotel is beautiful, no question. The concierge was terrible. She consistently gave us incorrect information and showed no initiative to help us. She would make phone calls to tour companies or other facilities but only when I directed her, step by step. The Argentine Steak Restaurant seemed to be in a hurry. Menu says Caesar Salad was to be prepared […] at the table and it wasn't, 2 plates were thrown in front of us. Overall this is a nice hotel but nothing special. Lees meer
"Beautiful Beach & Lovely Room"
I booked an ocean view room for one night ending my 10 day travel throughout the Yucatan Peninsula. The room service was great, beach beautiful, staff very friendly and efficient, room very comfortable. I picked this hotel because it had a very high recommendation rate here on Hotels.com. The only downside is the restaurants are insanely expensive... […] I'd say only eat at the restaurants if you are rich or it's on another persons dime. Everything is perfect except the bed is small and they lost my daughter's pillow on the third day. So everything else is very beautiful and very hot.

Nice hotel ! We got a stay 3 nights get fourth night free deal with breakfast. Breakfast was excellent and amenities were all present on site. The restaurants on site and at JW Marriott next door were all great. Please note that internet access is $16US and not very fast and is confusing to use. The staff is great and friendly. The on-site tourist center […] books good deals, be sure to request a discount. Here's a note to all Cancun visitors. Use the KuKulKan Blvd buses it's only 8.5 pesos per person to get anywhere in the hotel zone. "Great view, But..."
The view from our suite was great, but the service was horrible. The bed was rock hard and the AC was so loud that it woke us up everytime ot went on.

An excellent hotel in the Cancun hotel zone. No problems. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a tour office that could book tours. Across the street from one marina and one hotel away and across the street from Aqua World.

The resort is beautiful and I would say is 4.5 stars in all public areas with the rooms being 3.5 stars. The rooms are nice, but the bathrooms could use updating. All Inclusive Option (escape to luxury package) Details: Includes everything at breakfast (buffet or a la carte at La Capilla), limited poolside menu (or full menu for a $10 per person per […] meal surcharge) at lunch, and full menu at the Sports bar at lunch, and all restaurants at dinner, but many menu items (lobster, filet, etc.) will incur an additional $10 charge. The drinks are pretty much all included (other than imports/top shelf) and beach/pool service was great. While every all inclusive supposedly includes tips, this one actually does. They put a stamp on the check that states tip included and cannot even allow you to further tip without having you initial the tip. That said, we found small "extra" tips still go along way. If you decide not to do the all inclusive option, try to get a package that includes breakfast and then venture out to the nearby malls for excellent dinner choices including: Ruth Chris, Outback, etc. Also, there is a 7-11 and drugstore across the street that you can stock up on drinks. From start to finish the hotel was excellent. Friendly, clean and great beach! We stayed in an Ocean View Room, would highly recommend that. Only ate at the Isla restaurant and the food was good. We had the best massages in their spa.

Nice hotel with good facilities however the airport shuttle and taxi service from the hotel are both complete rip-offs. I was awoken at 2:45am when the room phone rang with a man requesting to speak to another guest. I was awoken again at 3:30 by revellers, returning rather boisterously to their rooms. Not the most restful stay!

This place was awesome! Beautiful lobby, well appointed rooms. Service all around was top notch. The hotel workers were all very friendly. Very clean room & public areas incl bathrooms. Great beach, large pool. Our rate included breakfast which was a huge buffet. Took the bus to downtown & restaurants. No problems with water, ice, raw vegs/fruit so […] long as you eat in the touristy area. I would definitely recommend it & go back. Lees meer

"Beautiful hotel, great beach, helpful staff"
We're a kinda-picky family of 4, 2 pre-teen boys, and stay at Marriotts often. Hotel is well maintained and clean. Rooms are nice, service is very friendly and helpful. Pool area is very nice and beach is great, although storms weeks before we arrived created a bit of a cliff along the entire shoreline at the water's edge. White sand, turquoise water, […] sunny & 90* everyday - how awesome! Also across the street & a 5 min walk to Aquaworld, HQ for tons of water activities that we took advantage of so very convenient. Bus is 65c/person to anywhere in the hotel zone or into downtown which we did for an authentic dinner (our cheapest meal the whole stay). Isla Mall a 5-10 min ride but like being in Anytown USA. Still had a fun evening with the many activities there. Two watch outs - internet fee and on-premise restaurants are VERY expensive. Still, we would definitely recommend! Lees meer

All i needed to have a nice vacation, even it is away from stores, there is a local bus that drives you anywhere for few coins, and it is safe and fun. Have the experience!
