stayed paddys night which ran into mothers day! possibly not the best idea as the spa was fully booked out but we went on a waiting list and were accomodated for a small treatment. hotel was fully booked and busy but leisure facilities were easy to avail of. only disappointing thing we came across was we couldn't get a sandwich in the bar on sunday […] lunchtime because "it was mothers day" too busy with lunch menu in restaurant but strangely enough we could get it from room service!!!!! strange........ The only thing i had wrong with my stay and this was my second time staying here was, i booked the kingsize bed not the twin beds and i got the twin bed. Not very happy when your on a romatic weekend.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Hotel is very comfortable, central and the leisure centre is a great asset as Galway can be very rainy. Umbrellas in room a good idea.

Very nice hotel in good city centre location. Rooms very clean and spacious. Hotel service very good standart.

It's the little things that matter. And the Radisson missed the little things: a duff light bulb, a dirty shower screen, overzealous waiting staff who clear away your plates whilst you're up getting your second round of toast, fridge compressors which cut in loudly at 1 in the morning, staff who neglected to join our two singles into a kingsize as requested. […] All little things when taken in isolation. We choose the apartment option as we have two small children which allowed us to feed them in the apartment and was very useful. However we were very disappointed when we were not allowed to order room service because the apartments were across the road from the main hotel. This meant we had to pack up two small children in the rain and find somewhere […] to eat as we had no food in the apartment. We were never informed that the apartments did not include the full hotel services. Very disappointing. I did not expect this from a 4 star hotel. Lees meer

During a stay in October of 2011, there was plenty of space in the breakfast restaurant each morning although there were multiple groups in the hotel. It is a short walk from the main areas of town but benefits from a location that is a good deal quieter than the other hotel locations in the central area. The staff was courteous & helpful.

We had a most enjoyable stay in Galway last week. All of the staff from the front of house people, lounge, waiting staff and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. Well worth putting your feet up for a few days there.

Great hotel , fantastic food , great service ,

found the bar uncomfortably cold . air condition too much. Had to leave and go to another hotel on sunday pm.because of the cold.

we stayed in a two bed appt which was very spacious and comfy. only downfall was queing for breakfast not enough staff to clear tables for guests numbers waiting for services had to wait for over 30mins very disappointing, otherwise great place to stay

There was constant Noise at night in Room 268 Seems to be a Fan / air condition.There was a Function on Thursday and the noise from the music was Very Loud lasted until 2am.

Really great hotel with excellent service, food and facilities. Highly recommended.

I stayed here in a couple of suites with my family in July 2011. The location is great, just three blocks from Eyre Square, in the middle of Galway. The views are not the best, as there are some industrial sites nearby. The suites were big and comfortable, but were in a separate building so a little less convenient. The service was great and when my […] van I was driving did not fit in their underground car park, they let me park right in front in the loading zone. They are good and friendly with kids. Finally, the breakfast buffet was expansive and very tasty. If we come back to Galway, we will likely stay here again, mostly because of the service and the location. Lees meer

Great hotel - only problem our room was a very long way from reception (4 corridors + 2 lifts away). When you book m ake sure your room isn't in the annexe!

We stayed at this hotel recently: one night in the main hotel and two in the attached apartment suites. The hotel website says these apartments are seperate (which they certainly are) but underplays this a little. They are accessed through a door in an office building across the road. Ours was up two floors, down a corridor, across a roof area, down […] a fire escape-like metal staircase and across a courtyard. The apartment itself was roomy, although the bedrooms are small. Appalling plumbing design - every time you turn on a hot tap, a pump noisy refills the cylinder in a closet in one of the bedrooms (this was the case in our apt anyway). This pump seemed to come on at random times during the night also. Very annoying. Some of the sockets in the kitchen didn't work. The main hotel itself was fine. Room a little small but very clean and very comfortable bed. Very good breakfast buffet with lots of fresh fruit salads etc. Would avoid the 'dinner' buffet, which looks like good value but all the mains looked a little tired already and we were dining at 7.30! On the plus side, the staff were very friendly and for the most part efficient. The hotel is conveniently located for accessing the town centre on foot. Didn't visit the pool/spa so can't rate that. I have stayed in this hotel a number of times and I have always got on well and enjoyed my stay. With a rate of €170 per night I expected a nice room etc. What we got when we arrived there was a sub standard three star room in the old part of the hotel. When checking in I requested a double bed. The room had twin beds. I went down to the reception and […] asked to be moved which we were. The pool, hot tub and the breakfast were all excellent. I do think that the hotel is looking a little run down in places and for the rates the you pay this should be rectified. Lees meer

Really nice Hotel COvenient location , room very comfortable, lovely pool and lesiure centre with outdoor hot tub Breakfast very good also would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Galway

The hotel was very good. We did have a problem with all of the guests and outsiders who were there for conferences. It made the breakfasts and lobby very busy.

The staff falls all over them selfs Trying to please each and every person staying at the Hotel! The Food was Outstanding ! in the pub and the main rest. Room was Large and very Clean Shower was awesome pool and gym were just outstanding!! Guess you could say we really really Loved out stay in Galway!!! This was my second time staying in the Radisson Blu in Galway, no other hotel in the city can match it for location, comfort, facilities and cleanliness for such a reasonable price. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. I didn't use the restaurant for lunch or dinner so can't comment on those, but the breakfast was amazing, one of the best hotel […] breakfasts that I've had anywhere! The pool, spa and thermal suite and great for relaxation. Use of the car park was at a very reduced rate and seemed very safe and secure, which is good for peace of mind. The hotel was excellent. The only comment I would make about is that there seemed to be a lot of business meetings and business people staying there. They were, at times, pushy and not considerate of the other people using the hotel. I would still stay there again on my next trip to Galway.

Good modern chain hotel. Great location. Clean, reliable. Good breakfast.

Had a very enjoyable stay in this hotel have stayed before facilites very good and closeness to bars shops and restaurants - only downside was had to pay 6 euro for 2 nights car parking as a charge even though was free parking when booked didnt argue

With all the glowing reviews I was expecting an amazing stay. Unfortunately while the hitel was in a good location and the common areas were very nice the room left a lot to be desired. Most surprising was the fact there was no air conditioning, meaning the window had to be left open to get any air in the room. As this is a hotel frequented by stag […] and hen dos it means you have a 3am wake up call to look forward to if your room over looks the entranceway (which most seem to do). It also meant the halls were cluttered with beer bottles, room service leftovers and pizza boxes which the cleaners just seemed to walk past. This hotel is great if you're with a group of friends for a ragey weekend and don't mind paying through the nose for it. Everyone else should avoid on the weekends. Lees meer

location of the hotel is good, staff are friendly, cleanliness of hotel was not great, there was half empty cans in the minibar & they tried to charge me for them, the room could be more updated and cleaner, bathroom had alot of black around it, it would take alot to clean. The Radisson Blu hotel is a perfectly based hotel then visiting the West of Ireland which is easy walking distance to the city centre of Galway. The hotel also has a family swimming pool, out-door hot-tub (for adults only) and a underground grotto-style spa. The bedrooms are contemporary in style.
