alle belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden met openbaarvervoer en te voet makkelijk te doen. Deze hotel is een oude Ibis hotel welke kun je nog overal herkennen. Ontbijt was lekker maar jammer van de koffie, deze is namelijk gewoon "americana" welke ga je van 50L tank tapen. Leuke stad!

Fijn hotel op een prima lokatie, alles is lekker dichtbij. Transfer van vliegveld naar hotel is een makkie met de metro, kleine 30 minuten in totaal. Ontbijtbuffet was erg uitgebreid, voor elk wat wils. Enige nadeel was het ietswat doorgezakte bed.

Prettig hotel. Kleine kamer met wat verouderde badkamer, maar meer ook niet verwacht voor de prijs. Ik had een kamer aan het binnenpleintje, wat erg rustig was. Het ontbijt eenmalig geprobeerd. Er wordt gebruik gemaakt van plastic bestek/bordjes en de koffie was gewoonweg niet te zuipen. Het hotel ligt op een steenworp afstand van het centraal station en winkeltjes (en op loopafstand van het centrum), dus alternatief ontbijt is zo gehaald. Voor een paar kroner kan je in het hotel ook koffie uit de automaat halen, die is iets beter. De buurt is ok, er zitten een aantal leuke restaurantjes met lekker eten. Er zitten ook best wat sexshops en nachtclubs in de buurt, maar als je je aan het zicht niet stoort heb je er geen last van.

Een nette kamer, net sanitair en een goede keuken. Er werd gezegd dat je met een creditkaart kan betalen maar dit is niet zo. Men vraagt cash geld.

Ligging.
The Square ligt in het centrum van Kopenhagen, op loopafstand van Stadhuisplein, Tivolituinen en Strøget. In de buurt liggen ook Nationaal Museum van Denemarken en Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Dit hotel met een groen/duurzaam beleid heeft een bar/lounge. Draadloos internet is gratis beschikbaar in openbare ruimtes. Het personeel kan op verzoek hulp bij excursies/tickets, zakelijke diensten en een limousine- of autoservice regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere meertalig personeel, koffie in de lobby en gratis kranten in de lobby. Dit is een rookvrije accommodatie.
Hotelkamers.
The Square heeft 267 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een minibar en een kluis. Gasten kunnen gratis gebruikmaken van een snelle internetverbinding (via de kabel) op de kamer. Elke 26-inch flatscreentelevisie heeft kabel/satellietzenders. Elke badkamer heeft douches met een handdouche, een föhn en gratis toiletartikelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere openslaande ramen en verduisterende gordijnen. Bovendien kun je op verzoek gebruikmaken van voorzieningen zoals een strijkplank/strijkijzer, hypoallergeen beddengoed en extra handdoeken/beddengoed. Een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar.

Het amusementspark Tivoli, opgericht in 1843, maakt deze wijk tot de levendigste wijk in de stad. Het park heeft een van de oudste nog werkende achtbanen en 's werelds grootste draaimolen. Het Pantomime-Teatret dateert uit 1874. Andere attracties vormen het Hans Christian Anderson Slottet, het Glashuset en de Konsertsal met de aquariumlounge. 's Zomers vinden hier openluchtconcerten plaats.

"Tivoli op de hoek"
Hotel was goed, nette bediening, goed ontbijt buffet. De omgeving was goed en Tivoli op loopafstand. Voor ons een aanrader voor de volgende keer.
"The square prima, Kopenhagen maar zo-zo"
Het hotel was perfect. Bijzonder vriendelijke mensen Kamer waar we in zaten was bijzonder netjes gerenoveerd. Hij was aan de kleine kant, maar we waren echt onder de indruk van de kwaliteit. We hadden een kamer aan de zijkant van het gebouw (eerste verdieping). Hier helemaal geen geluidsoverlast. Misschien dat dit aan de voorkant anders is. De parkeergarage […] naast het hotel is een absolute afrader. Dit hoort niet direct bij het hotel, maar de beheerder (die daar ook aan auto's sleutelt...) wil wel je sleutel hebben omdat hij de auto moet kunnen verplaatsen. Toen wij vroegen of we dit eerst even in het hotel konden gaan checken moesten we maar wat anders zoeken als het ons niet beviel. Toen mijn vrouw vriendelijk opmerkte dat hij best wat beleefder mocht reageren tegen gasten werden we weggestuurd. Hij wilde ons daar niet meer zien en we moesten de garage meteen verlaten. We zijn een paar straten verderop in een Q-park gaan staan. Perfect: minder dan de helft van de prijs (16 euro per dag), en gewoon zoals we het hier in NL gewend zijn; helemaal afgesloten en zelf parkeren. (Alleen jammer dat we niet zo onder de indruk van Kopenhagen zelf waren :-) We hadden wat het gevoel dat we door een stad als Praag liepen, waar de glorie aan het vergaan was...) Lees meer
"centrale ligging maar verder niets bijzonders"
De ligging van het hotel vlakbij het centraal station, Tivoli en het centrum is de grootste plus. Hotel heeft kleine, warme kamers met beroerd uitzicht aan achterkant of uitzicht op Raadhuisplein aan voorkant. Ramen kunnen open als je je niet stoort aan ventilatoren die de hele dag de lucht van hamburgers naar binnen waaien (achterzijde) of aan drukke […] autoweg (voorzijde). Wel goede fietsen te huur, Kopenhagen is de ideale fietsstad. Hou er rekening mee dat de eenpersoonsbedden smalle divanbedden zijn. Lees meer

Stayed here again, which probably says a lot. Nice hotel in a convenient location in the centre of the city. Quite a lot of building work going on around the city centre at the moment, which will be nice when it's done, but for now spoils the vista somewhat!

Located right in the middle of town with a wide variety of bars and restaurants in easy walking distance. Friendly and helpful staff and overall an enjoyable experience for a the couple of days I was there on business. Would use again. Note no restaurant in hotel but the Australian steak house opposite does room service if you don't want to go out.

"The Square Hotel - Copenhagen"
Wanted a hotel that was close to the train station in Copenhagen and was very happy with the Square. The bed was very soft (if you like firm beds, beware!), room not noisy at all considering we faced the street and although we had a superior room, it was the same price as a standard when I booked, I can't imagine the standard room being much different […] after looking at photos. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that but the reception staff were very good and friendly (helped us out with some local guidance & checked us in early). Also a big bonus with free wi-fi and the printing facility in the reception meant that we could check-in online for our flight and print out our boarding passes. Would definitely stay here again - loved the modern decor of the hotel and loads of good bars surrounding the area too! Lees meer
"past its best"
The Square is looking a bit lack luster, and although comfortable, isn't worth the cost. A particular lowlight for my stay was the nightclub below the square.
"Don't get a window with a view if you want to slee"
The hotel is pretty nice, but there are three downsides: 1. if you get a window facing the plaza, don't plan on sleeping at night - the music from the downstairs nightclub WILL keep you awake even if you are on the top floor - and they do NOT warn you about this when you check in. 2. the rooms are tiny, at least compared to american hotel room standards. "Late chekout - Maybe, maybe not"
OK located hotel, but rooms has limited ventilation. We asked for 45 min late tjeck out, but it was rejected. It makes my decision easy next time I am going on business to Copenhagen and it is not The Square.

Excellent location (close to central train station, Tivoli, tourist office etc). Reception v welcoming until I declined upgrade (at extra cost) to a larger room - then they rather lost interest. Had booked single superior room which was more than adequate size-wise, well appointed and warm. Not 100% clean though and they need to sort out the drains […] - a unpleasant smell in the bathroom on arrival that never really went away. "Good location, clean rooms"
Located right in front of Radhus, near Copenhagen Central Station- very convenient. The rooms are nice, and overall everything is quite tidy. The size of the bed was surprisingly small, smaller than the ones in Japan. I would say about 1 meter wide. The room itself was also quite small. There are quite a few pubs on the street, and these get quite noisy […] on Fri. and Sat. until 4 am. Lees meer

"Fantastic hotel! Highly recommend."
This is an unbelievable value considering that it is in a prime location! In walking distance from the train station, Tivoli, and the famous Stroget street with great shops. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The hotel lobby is very cool. Free internet access. I got upgraded to a better room which was much appreciated. "Well-priced and centrally located in Copenhagen"
Near Tivoli, near the walking street, and near lots of restaurants and shops. Rooms are small but clean. Showers not baths. Modern and trendy. Buffet breakfast is good. Copenhagen is pricey but this place is very reasonable.

"The Square - perfectly located and a great value"
I've seen other reviews and can assure you that I have high standards/expectations and have traveled extensively. This is a great hotel, great location, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. This is the second year I have chosen to stay here over other hotels I have stayed in previously. I arrived very early in the morning and did not expect […] my room to be ready. Not a problem! Without me even asking, they had a room available and welcomed me with a big smile and said "enjoy your stay with us". Highly recommend! Lees meer

This hotel has very friendly, helpful staff, wonderful breakfast upstairs (reasonably priced), and right at the famous "walking street." A block from Tivoli - tickets can be purchased in the hotel and charged to the room,Rooms are reasonably sized and comfortable. Beds are good. Bathrooms very nice. Wifi available in lobby, internet connection in rooms […] (not wifi). Both are free. Would stay here anytime! Lees meer

It was the perfect location for us. Walking distance from the train station, great sites, Tivoli and everything else we wanted to see. We couldn't have asked for more.

Our room was directly above a very loud, active nightclub which stayed open until 5 AM on the weekend. The noise was unbelievable. Like most European hotels, there was not enough space for our clothes - no drawers, just a couple of shelves in the tiny wardrobe so we were literally living out of our suitcases. This hotel is in a great location, with quiet rooms despite being on a busy main square. It's attractive and shouldbbe ideal, but our air conditioning did not work, so we sweltered overnight. The maintenance person was very responsive, but ineffectual. They offered us other rooms, but they were no better and were had maintenance issues such as drapes […] hanging half off the windows. The room was comfortable, clean ,had tea and coffe amking facilities, hairdryer, was warm hotel staff very helpful. I would stay here again but would not recommend facing the Town Hall.

We loved the location of the hotel and the overall look and feel. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. Everything worked well. The ONLY drawback was that the bed was far too soft for my liking, as were the pillows. Some might say if the beds are not great then how can I still rate the hotel as high as I did. "Good hotel experience in a centrally located area"
The hotel staff was courteous and helpful throughout our stay. The only downside was that the room was not available until 3 pm on the Friday that we checked in; they took the opportunity, though, to try to upsell us to a larger suite. Also, the front desk staff is not knowledgeable about local events, restaurants, or bars. It would have been helpful […] to know that it was restaurant week in CPH so that we could have save a substantial sum on dinner. We found out about restaurant week because everyone else in the restaurant had the coupon. On the plus side, the hotel windows open, and the bathroom is spacious. "If they only would replace these sofa beds ..."
... it would help to not come up with doubts regarding the amount of stars (4) this accommodation is rated with. Well, the room we had was rather small, if not extremely small. I guess we had the choice of a bigger one but we didn’t feel like paying even more than we already were paying (which may have justified the convenient location but nothing else […] after that). What really bothered us was this love chair sized pull out sofa. The fabric was really disgustingly dirty and worn out. It had a multitude of holes, obviously caused by cigarettes (that were or were not allowed to be smoked in the room, we don’t know). However, we tended to ask for another room, expecting the sofa there couldn't be in such a bad shape as it was in our room but we did not bother after all. And paying more for a slightly bigger room was not the option. Maybe the other rooms are nicer - which I actually hope for the hotel - but besides that we didn't consider the mattresses to be of good comfort. They didn’t provide any support so we only could dream of a good night’s sleep as we kept trying hard having one. The halls, bathrooms and room carpets must have been redone rather recently but the furniture in the lobby showed strong signs of wear and tear, especially the red leather “tulip cup chairs”. Also worth to mention are the doors to the elevators which are somewhat of unusual for a hotel and rather dangerous because of the momentum they can get when opening and closing and because of the lack of transparency. So make sure you always stand clear of the radius of these doors. Only visual displays for each elevator indicate position and availability of the cabin. So you might keep on waiting even after one of the 3 elevators had already arrived for your disposal. Did I mention the location to be convenient? I guess I did but if you happen your room facing to the street with the dated movie theatre across the hotel, you most likely won’t need to turn on the lights in your room. “Dagmar” takes Lees meer

There is no early check so you had to wait until 3 or upgrade. I thought that was a little sleazy. If you were flying international like myself I upgraded for the first day because I had already been up for 24 hours and just did not want to wait another 3 hours for a room to be ready. Perfect location a short walk from the central train station, access to bus and bicycle transport and within walking distance to many of the popular sites. The staff was very friendly and accomodating; we received good info on places to eat and relax. The small bar in the lobby was great for taking a beer while planning the evening activities. The room […] was clean and asthetically pleasing, small but contains everything you need for a nice stay. I was surprised to find an actually comfortable bed, as most European hotel beds are like sleeping on a cement slab. Good sized bathroom and stand-up shower with large towels and plenty of hot water, toiletries and a hair dryer that works! We didn't eat breakfast there because it wasn't included in the price of our room, but there are many cafes close to the hotel. They also have a locked luggage storage room if you don't depart until late in the day. Overall my experience was very good and I would recommend this hotel to others in Copenhagen for the weekend. "Upgrade or get downgraded"
We arrived for one night and had booked a superior room, however, according to the schematic posted by the elevators, we were definitely booked into one of the smallest rooms in the hotel - it definitely was not a superior room. We think it was because they asked if we wanted to upgrade our room at check-in to a Suite and we declined (since we were […] going to be leaving at 4am for our flight). Seriously, we were on the first floor overlooking a bus stop. The hotel and rooms are very clean and the location of the hotel could not be better. Just make sure that you get what you pay for. "Adequate"
We booked at very short notice but still expect good standards for the price you pay. There was a burn mark in the middle of the carpet, the towels were rather rough, nice view of concrete out the window of the back of the hotel and there was two single duvets on the double bed. Not exactly great for a romantic trip away!! The room was always well […] prepared each day and there were no real problems. Just nothing to write home about. Lees meer
"Small room in a commercial environment/No wi-fi"
Location is good if you want to shop at international stores but the whole Radhuspladsen square is very busy and very commercial -- the opposite of what Copenhagen is about. The room was dirty and very small. The bed and pillows were way too soft.We stayed there for 2 nights and it was enough. They had no WI-FI and just one computer at the reception […] for the customers. If I went back to Copenhagen, I'd stay in one of the very nice neighborhoods of the city, on a quiet and charming street as everthing there is cyclable or walkable. Lees meer
