Best Western Plus Sally Port Inn & Suites in Roswell

We really enjoyed staying in this hotel. They have a beautiful room in the center of the hotel with an indoor pool, spa, workout room, gazebo, and mature plants. Everything about our stay was pleasant AFTER we checked in. The check in process took forever because the staff couldn't find our reservation from hotels.com. We had just arrived from a 12 […] hour car ride and just wanted to get to our room, instead we had to wait in the lobby for over twenty minutes. The desk clerk didn't help much by taking a personal call about sweet tea, before handing over our room keys, making us wait even longer. Our room was clean and had the most updated interior of any room we stayed in during our trip. I hoped they would have a microwave in the kitchenette area, but I suppose they don't want people cooking in the rooms since they have an in-hotel restaurant. The room had a "clean remote" for the TV, however ours had not been wiped down recently, I had to personally wipe the grime off of the buttons. We had a nice flat screen TV. The room was comfortable with a fully adjustable digital thermostat. The bathrooms were clean and had an exhaust fan that was always on. Overall I liked the room. The breakfast was comparable to other hotel breakfasts, nothing special. You could make your own waffle if desired, but the only fruit they had were apples and an orange. Eggs, meat, and potatoes were disappointing, I couldn't finish my plate, so I stuck with the apple. Juice was a nice option, but tasted like it wasn't 100% fruit, it was sweet like the taste of high fructose corn syrup; not a good option for anyone. We chose this hotel because of it's convenient location in Roswell. It is right off Main St, making it perfect for people traveling through, needing a place to stop for the night before moving on (especially if you're going South). Whataburger is next door to the hotel. The UFO museum is right down the street, we found it to be a neat attraction, and left us wondering what really ha Lees meer

I was in Roswell on business for ten days and the hotel took care of me well. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. I would stay there again.

Very nice hotel. Just wish the pool was warmer. Did not stay for the breakfast. The hotel was very clean and nice large rooms.

Overall I liked this hotel and was surprised as to how nice it was for the price. Room was modern and large. Hotel staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good. Hotel was clean. The only problem I had was no hot water in the shower. I had hot water in the sink, though. I was in a hurry to leave and did not have time to report this to the front desk. […] My co-travelers said they had hot water. They also enjoyed the pool. We only stayed one night but it was one of the nicest Bestwesterns. Only wish they had people at the desk that knew where anything around town was

Clean and neat. Breakfast is nothing to write home about.

The place is a Top Five Quality stay. Very clean and a G O O D hot breakfast.

This Hotel was OK but under a lot of construction and maintenance seemed to be lacking such as the tub wouldnt drain about 6or7 inches of water colleced when taking a shower.

Front desk unfriendly. Next room with leaky water running or something all night long. Light bulbs missing and non-operational light fixtures. Pool way too cold and salty. Out of "Breakfast on the run" supply for the 2 days.

THE ROOM WAS VERY COMFORTABLE

This is exactly what you'd expect from a Best Western in a town the size of Roswell. The rooms are clean, not fancy. The coffee is horrible, but provided. The hot breakfast was good and the swimming pool has waaaay tooo much chlorine ... bring your goggles. We stayed for the Ranch Rodeo and it's perfect, centrally located and convenient. (But what, […] in Roswell would not be convenient, really). Call the hotel first and make sure your reservation (pre-paid!!) got sent over. Ours did not, but the MOD took care of it. Lees meer

This hotel needs improvement. No extra TP No Kleenex Not enough towels for 4 people Plates of food left in hallway all day/night Swimming pool tastes like salt plastic is hanging from ceiling in pool area flies everywhere horrible smell phones did not work

The hotel is conveniently located on the main street. The room was clean and neat and the staff were very friendly. The indoor pool and spa were great! The hot breakfast was good and offered a nice variety. Some renovations were underway, but it was not an inconvenience.

The room itself was spectacular! Clean, neat, well-maintained. The hotel itself was less than that - the pool was closed for inspections (I know that has to happen sometime) and they had JUST painted, so the enitre hotel has a knock-you-over kind of smell of oil-based paint. Enough so, that I got a headache when I was in the room too long. But, at least, […] it was freshly painted and looked great! Lees meer

Generally, the hotel was clean and the personnel courteous. The reason we wouldn't recommend to others is because the breakfast food was cold and the hotel location was definitely not great.

Had requested a smoking room, they were going to give us non-smoking. Changed rooms and the room smelled like mildew and sewer. Air conditioner didn't work. Called downstairs and they sent maintenance up and he said it was working fine. Room never got below 89 degrees. Pool was out of order, didn't know this when we made the reservations. The room smelled of mildew and had a musty smell. The air conditioner didn't work properly. They had the pool shut down and we didn't know it until we checked in. No elevator-no big deal until you have 4 people with luggage. The "hot" breakfast wasn't. When I told the front desk people about how unsatisfied I was, she said to each his own. Room was very large and clean, breakfast was a nice surprise (buffet with freshly cooked eggs, sausage, potatoes and as well yogart, cereal, muffins, etc.) Pool area was closed for renovations so that was a disappointment. Great stay!

This hotel was fine for a one night stay in Roswell the night before doing a race down in Dexter (about 20 miles from Roswell). Of course you can't expect too much for a Best Western in a semi-run down city, but I think the cost for the hotel was reasonable. Just don't expect anything fancy! Really enjoyed this hotel..great breakfast buffet, very clean and comfortable room. Pool was closed because they were renovating, but otherwise a great place to stay.

We didn't know about the pool closing until we got to the hotel. We tried to get the front desk clerk to change our hotel but she wouldn't. Then she put our room very close to the jack hammering so we could be reminded how annoyed I was that I had no pool. The bedding was scratchy, pillows were good. The "free" breakfast was a joke, cold sausage, scrambled […] eggs and gross hash browns. No bagels just toast and when it popped up it went in the air onto the counter The final blow was when I had to pay $30.00 for a taxi because the "free" hotel/airport van didn't start until 8:00am.
