BEST WESTERN BUFFALO RIDGE INN in Custer

An average but clean and comfortable motel convenient to all the sights in the beautiful Black Hills of Dakota. Breakfast was OK and we had no complaints during our 3 night stay.

This hotel is mid-range as far as amenities. The breakfast was average. The rooms are alright although the beds are a bit too soft. The location is outstanding for trips to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Deadwood, and other nearby sites. The town is a little short on dining facilities compared with Keystone, but the food we had was very good.

We were very pleased with the location & upkeep of the Best Western motel in Custer. The complimentary breakfasts were great, Laundry room was handy. We were within 30 minutes of most things that we wanted to see. An hour for others, but still close enough. The rooms were clean, but smelled like someone smoked in our non smoking room, and i'm sure you […] have no control over that. Febreeze worked. Staff was great. Friendly & helpful. After reading the reviews, my husband and I chose to stay at this particular Best Western. We stayed in the suite, which was quite spacious. The bathroom was very clean and the tub was sparkling! A clean and fairly modern room, very friendly and helpful staff, and a pretty decent breakfast. Swimming pool and spa are heated and indoors. Very easy walk to restaurants downtown. What's not to like?

This is good place to stay for visiting all the sites in and around Custer. The hotel room could have been cleaner. It sort of smelled bad when we got there. Morning breakfast bar could last a little longer for those traveling with children. Shampoo, soap was not replaced daily as it should be. Bedspreads looked quite old, could be updated. This hotel was beautifully nestled in the foothills of the mountains and close to many attractions including Mt Rushmore, Jewel Cave National Monument and Custer State Park. Very disappointed in the hotel. The outside needs a paint job. The AC was above the bathroom, near the sink, and was loud. The hair dryer was ancient. The pool hardly lived up to its billing. The worst -- the breakfast. It was sloppy, the yellow eggs looked like flying saucers (there was 1/2 left when I went up) & were rubbery, and it was crowded. This motel is in the middle of the Black Hills. It is just a few miles from all the major parks and attractions of the area. The motel room was quite spacious, very clean, with all the bathroom amenities we needed and had primo coffee for the next morning (a real plus). Three of us stayed in a room with 2 queen beds and we had plenty of room for bags, […] 'stuff', and lots of places to sit and use our laptops (with the free Wi-Fi). They had a great location in downtown Custer. Several restaurants gave discounts if you told them you stayed there. I felt that it was a safe and cheap location for my family to spend time in the Black Hills. The free breakfast was alright and the staff were very friendly.

Would stay again and would recommend to friends/family if they want a great location for getting to Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer Park. Great Prime Rib at restaurant just in front of the hotel. Accommodating and friendly staff. Rooms are nothing to brag about, but clean and functional. This hotel was excellent in every way. The room was large and comfortable. The breakfast menu varied from day to day. They staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful - even to the point that one of housekeepers brought her truck over to jump start our car.

Nice room in a nice motel. Friendly staff, and a nice pool.

it was a pleasure staying for a week-end. the staff were very cordial and helpful at all times and the coffee and juice machine were always available in the lobby which is very handy for guests. i will definitely return next year and i recommend the motel to anyone.
