Mooie moderne hotelkamer. Ontbijt was goed. Hotelpersoneel was erg behulpzaam: op de dag van vertrek moesten we eerder weg dan dat het ontbijt mogelijk was. Speciaal voor ons werd de ontbijtzaal geopend en konden we weliswaar niet uitgebreid, maar toch wat eten. Ligging van het hotel is super. Vijf minuten lopen vanaf Puerta del Sol, met een pleintje voor de deur. Klein minpuntje: ondanks de rolluiken hoor je wel goed wat er op straat gebeurt. Zou er zelf wel weer heengaan.

Ligging.
Hotel Atlantico Madrid ligt in het centrum van Madrid, op loopafstand van Plaza de Callao en Puerta del Sol. In de buurt bevinden zich ook Plaza Mayor en Plaza de Espana.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Dit hotel voor zaken heeft een koffietentje/café en een bar/lounge. In openbare ruimtes is een gratis snelle internetverbinding (draadloos en via kabel) beschikbaar, terwijl de accommodatie over een computer met internetverbinding beschikt. Dit hotel met met 4 sterren beschikt over zakelijke voorzieningen waaronder een vergader-/conferentieruimte, een technische helpdesk en een technisch supportteam. Het personeel kan op verzoek hulp bij excursies/tickets, bedrijfsgerelateerde dienstverleningen en hulp bij excursies regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een dakterras, een conciërgebalie en meertalig personeel. wij hadden een kamer aan de gran via. Het uitzicht is top: je kijkt zo alle shops in en ziet mensen voorbijkomen. Je hoort de straat wel ook snachts, maat er is een elektrisch rolgordijn dus dat helpt goed. Het ontbijt voor 9 euro is zeker de moeite waard, Lekker en mooi uitzicht op Gran Via. Het allermooiste hier is de locatie, je zit echt supercentraal. […] Onze kamer was mooi gedecoreerd, groene badkamer met aparte tegels en bloemengordijnen. Het hotel ligt écht middenin het (commerciele) centrum van Madrid, op steenworp afstand van metrostation (Callao) en grote winkels en gezellige pleinen. Van buiten ziet het hotel er prachtig uit! 's Avonds is het ook heel mooi verlicht. De receptie is wat klein en er is maar één lift waar je soms wat langer op moet wachten. Maar desalniettemin maakt […] het hotel zijn reputatie voor 4 sterren wat mij betreft helemaal waar. De geboekte kamer was weliswaar behoorlijk rpijzig maar had dan ook een tweepersoonsbed, een (klein) balkon met prachtig uitzicht over het centrum en een mooie badkamer. Alles was schoon en dagelijks is de kamer keurig schoongemaakt en opgeruimd. Op de badkamer was een aantal handige zaken aanwezig. Bijvoorbeeld een scheersetje, tandenkit (met tandenborstel en tandpasta), een lekker geurtje voor man en vrouw en bodylotion. Al met al niets te klagen. Verder was het ontbijt prima. Het hotel ligt aan de Gran Via in het centrum van de stad. Alle bezienswaardigheden zijn op loopafstand. Mijn kamer (eenpersoons) was aan de kleine kant maar netjes onderhouden. Ik miste alleen een makkelijke stoel. Op de 9e etage een mooi terras, bar en salon een fijne plek om even te relaxen. Zeker de moeite waard.

Ideale ligging midden in het centrum, zeer dichtbij twee metro stations. Eigenlijk was alles prima op orde, het enige wat een klein beetje tegen viel was het formaat van de kamer. Dat had wel iets groter gemogen. Al met al echter niets te klagen.

Uitstekende service door het hotelpersoneel. Fantastische kamer met veel comfort en rustige ligging, weliswaar zonder uitzicht naar buiten omdat er shutters achter de ramen aangebracht waren die niet open konden en uitzicht op een blinde muur is niet echt interessant. Ontbijt was erg uitgebreid met warme en koude gerechten.

Nothing to fault. A very comfortable hotel situated at the very heart of the city, close to many of the city's historic sights. Our room was comfortable and the staff always helpful. Great value for money.

Beyond my expectations. The bar is really a lovely lobby, with seating on a terrace with terrific city views and an interior that is very beautiful. It's sort of a lobby in the sky, minus the distractions of people checking in and out. Also, the breakfast is delicious, served until 11:00 a.m.; can easily take the place of lunch.

My husband and I stayed here about 18 years ago, so when I returned to Madrid with my friend this is where I went. I was not disappointed. The surrounding area is a bit hectic, but the hotel was well located. The location of the hotel is most important to me in terms of proximity to museums and restaurants. it is good value, and the breakfast buffet […] was well worth the price we paid. "EXCELLENT except room decor"
Once you walk into the room and get over the ugly yellow bedspreads, you begin to notice the attention to detail and thought that has gone into your room. The bathroom amenities are the BEST that I have seen--toothbrush, razor, soaps etc--in case you have forgotten anything. "The best place to stay in Madrid!"
After researching more hotels than I care to mention for my trip to Spain last week (Feb. 15-20, 2012), I came across the Hotel Atlantico. After reading the reviews, I decided this hotel was going to be the winner and oh was it!! The Hotel Atlantico is located on the Gran Via between two Metro stops ("Gran Via" and "Callao" - only minutes away walking) […] that will take you anywhere your heart desires in the city. The Gran Via is a great street full of shops, places to eat and only a short 10 minute walk to the Puerto del Sol or the Plaza Major from the hotel. (If you're planning on traveling by the Metro (which I highly suggest because it's efficient and FUN!), you can go down into the "Gran Via" station or the "Callao" station and use the electronic kiosks to purchase Metro tickets.) The hotel front desk staff were amazing and full of suggestions for places to see and restaurants to go to. They also speak impeccable English if you're a bit rusty on your Spanish. If you arrive early (before noon), go ahead and check-in but don't count on your room being ready (as check-out is noon). In my case, my room wasn't ready yet so I left my bags with the front desk staff (they will give you a numbered card so you can claim your luggage when you return) and took off to explore the city. When I returned, my room was ready and I couldn't have been more pleased. The room was large by American standards with two twin beds, night tables on both sides, a small sitting area, a full-size bathroom including a double sink, and a flat screen TV. (Quick note, when you walk in the room, you must place your room key into the slot above the light switch just inside the door. This will allow you to turn on the lights.) The room also had a stocked bar with a small fridge. On the 9th floor is a great little hotel bar along with the business center that has free internet service along with copiers (great for printing your boarding pass for your return trip home). I booked this hotel based on TripAdvisor reviewers. I was in a single room and it was plenty big for one person. The bathroom was a combination tub/shower. Good light. Javier, who works at the front desk (and I suspect is a manager at the hotel) was incredibly helpful. He did a little research online and marked the route for me on a map to the nearest […] Citibank. He also helped with where to go to get a phone and other inquiries. The top floor terrace and public rooms are a great place to spend some time. All in all, I could not have been more pleased! Very happy with hotel. Arrived at 11.30am and were checked in to 2 out of 3 rooms within 10 mins. 3rd room available after 1/2 hour. This is our third year to take a city break and the first time we got availability to rooms prior to 3.00 pm. Reception staff were excellent - friendly and helpful. The rooms were very spacious, clean and very comfortable […] and the bathrooms very clean and big. Check out very professional with a room to leave luggage. Only issue I had was with breakfast. The hot plate was limited and not very warm. Cold plate, juices, & cereals good. Toaster a disaster!! Very convenient to the old town and tourist bus tours.
