This hotel is ideal for young spring breakers, it probably isn't the nicest hotel you'll ever stay in but it was a lot of fun! They have security and a hot tub, I appreciated both of these aspects.

for the price that we paid, it was fine, but the room looks next to nothing like the pictures. I stayed in a King Suite and it looks like they're just hurrying to finish up renovating for Spring Break. There was a shoe print in the center of our coffee table (not ours), the same shoe print was visible in different areas of the of the room. Still the […] view of the little piece of bay is nice and I'd consider staying again for the same price. The didn't have our reservation --- said they were full. The girl that got the reservation put it in for the wrong day. Thankfully I had our confirmation. Told her that it was their problem not mine. Finally got a room. Not all the lights worked and the tv controller didn't function.

We primarily chose this hotel so we could fish on their dock when it was dark out, but the front desk couldn't figure out how to turn on the fishing lights. Bed linens were very used, making us feel uncomfortable in the bed. Two soda machines were inop. No ice machine on the first floor.

The hotel was under construction, so there was some construction material in the side of the parking lot , all of the rooms were not ready at the time, but the room we had looked like it had just been recently updated with new ceramic tiles , and fixtures. The view we had was of the bay, u could sit on your roomy balcony complete with a table and chairs, […] and watch the fish jump in the bay below. Housekeeping came in each day with fresh towels and cleaned the place by sweeping and mopping the tiles and cleaning the shower and toilet and lavatory , The room we had was complete with a mini fridge and microwave , 2 tvs. and a fold out couch. Each morning we were allowed to have a breakfast , where u could choose from toast, waffles , cereal , r oatmeal , with coffee and r milk and juice , or course it was fix it yourself , which was ok . The hotel was a little run down and out dated. However they were redoing the rooms. THe staff was amazing. It was cold so swimming was out of the question however the town had a lot to offer as far as off season activites.All of it was very close by. I would love to go back again.

Good stay, rooms with the bay view getting remodeled so at some times it was noisy. But overall room was large and clean.

My wife and I attended a wedding in Martindale and we were very pleased with the value of the Howard Johnson. The continental breakfast and room location were very nice. The staff was very friendly and understanding.

They gave me a handicap room and the to shower I had to bend down or sit In the handicap Stoll shower is way to small. Ac compressor making a lot of noise couldnt even hear tv in room. Roomservice didn't clean out room nor change towels.

Had a good time, very clean, had no problem, and for a cheap price. The only thing is that the lady at the front desk was very awkward, she didnt smile or say much.

we have stayed at this hotel for many years. This was by far the worst condition I,ve seen this place. breakfast was late, we had to call management to get some breakfast. we decided to stay another day but booked another room in another hotel. Never again.

First off when you read negative reviews about this " hotel & resort" trust them. It was the worst "hotel" I have ever stayed at. The room smelled so bad we had to go buy febreeze and air freshner ASAP. It was not clean, pool/ jacuzzi was dirty, parking was absolutely a nightmare and reduculous (layed out weird and super small) & linens were stained […] and just looked dirty also were very worn out. The room hadno hot water after the first day. Would not get matunece tgere fir 2 days to fix it. The reason we stayed was it was a holiday weekend and everywhere else was booked or way over priced. We payed a lot for this place too. I have no clue how they call it a hotel & resort ( the reason i use quotes) at best it is a 1 star Motel. I was only able to sleep as I brought our own pillows, sheets and blanket. The only positive ( if you wanna say that) is there was no bugs but I don't know how, it was so gross. I will never refer anyone here. I would want my dog to stay at this nightmare "hotel". Lees meer

Was not pleased at all, room was not clean even after it was cleaned. Pictures on the internet did that place justice. View wasn't to bad. Room smelt like mildew... served it's purposeas a place to sleep.

Room was dirty with hair all in the bathroom, the comforter smelled of cat urine and sheets looked if they haven't been cleaned. We checked out the next morning and had payed for the 3days. I will Never stay there or recommend.

Initially room that was given to us we were disappointed due to toilet was soiled. So with that said hotel cleanliness was disappointing. But the mgr upgraded our room to bayview, which made up for that. But this is my 2nd time staying there and well the 1st visit was good, that's why we decided to stay there again. Convenient located whit nice view to the bay and good size / layout of the rooms with an affordable price. The walls had chewed gums. The pillow cover’s had hair. The floor is a tile floor and it wasn’t wipe correctly. The breakfast room is very small & all they serve is cereal and walffels a very bitter watery orange juice and cofee & milk.

Worst hotel on the Island, been there many times, this was the worst. Front desk rep was rude; towels were dirty; room smelled like backed up sewage. Maintenance and cleaning crew were as helpful as they could be but could not override management. Will never stay here again.

For the money, great stay. We had a water veiw room (1st floor) which makes a big difference. Don't go to "Free Breakfast" hungry because you will be disappointed (during summer season).

This was a good value. A comfortable, convenient place to go back to after a day at the beach. It's not luxurious, but it has everything you need to unwind after a day in the sun. The brochure of the hotel makes the place look beautiful, the words in the advertisement are not even close to what it say's. That place needs a renavation, and staff that really care about there customer's.

Not very happy, couldn't get more bath towels unless you exchanged them. Bathroom sink was clogged. Pipe was leaking in the closet. Didn't smell very good. So I wouldn't recommend it to any one, unfortunately.

The room was a bit dirty when we arrived. I believe there was spilled beer by the phone and it was fresh. I'm thinking room service didn't wipe down tables. Other then that, great service and location was great as well.

Staff was slightly rude and obtrusive. Pool and hottub full of sand, but to be expected considering proximity to beach. Not bad for a quick and cheap getaway.
