Ligging.
Columba Hotel bevindt zich in Inverness, dicht bij Inverness Museum and Art Gallery, Inverness Castle en Kathedraal van Inverness. In de buurt liggen ook Eden Court Theatre en Eastgate Shopping Centre.

Dit hotel voor zaken biedt diverse eetgelegenheden, zoals een restaurant, een koffiebar/café en een bar/lounge. In alle openbare ruimtes kan je tegen betaling de draadloze internetverbinding gebruiken. "Great location."
It was good. Spoiled by difficult-to-reach room with baggage and no assistance offered. Breakfast and dinner there were only 'fair' - much better places for meals nearby. No Wi Fi connection or web availability.
"Comfortable stay"
We only had one night at the Columba as we were moving on, but would stay again. Really good location on the river Ness facing the castle. Comfortable room with everything you need and plenty hot water. Large dining room, friendly staff and buffet style breakfast with loads of choice from continental to full Scottish. Added bonus is McNabs restaurant […] on ground floor so you have the option of eating in at night if you get too tired touring around all day. There is obviously work going on, with scaffold around part of the hotel, but it didn't affect our stay. Lees meer
"Bit tatty, but good for the money"
Stayed there a couple of times. Probably used to be really plush, but now rooms a bit tatty. Mould in the grout in both bathrooms and rust on a bathroom shelf, furniture nice enough, but shows signs of wear. Dont get me wrong, not a dump and I'l stay there again for work. Just if I was expecting 4 star I'd be a bit disappointment. Center of town, […] quiet, generally the cheapest hotel I can find, free WIFI (though sometimes does not work), good value for money. "Columba Hotel, Inverness, Scotland"
It was a cheap deal made last minute because of an early start course in town the next day. If it had not been so reasonably priced, we would have be very dissatisfied, as it was we found the experience quite funny! No parking, so had to go round the block a few times to find a space, they gave us a double room instead of a twin. This rectified, the […] key to the replacement room was so bent that it took us 5 mins to unlock the door! The room was pockey and scruffy in dire need of refreshing. The table lamp did not work. Drip drip drip went the shower all night..I put a towel down to soften the sound......soon after, splat splat splat went the shower! In the morning we had our showers and could not turn off the shower. It was all very faulty towers really, but we have experienced this with Oxford Hotels before. Most of the staff were nice, especially the evening check in staff and the man in paintsplattered clothing was must more receptive than the woman at reception the next morning!!! 4 Stars ???? the hotel needs a major refurb. The bathroom plumbing was terrible...the flush tanks 5 minutes to refill, mold and mildew on the caulking around the bath tub. The labrynthian way through many CLOSED doors without an elevator, to the room, is a challenge for anyone over 60 with baggage to haul... the twin beds were super narrow....

Have stayed here a few times for work, mainly due to its location and price. Had a bar meal in mcnabs which is attached to the hotel, very good and reasonable price. My only complaint would be the shower was very poor, would have been better off standing out in the rain!

Arrived and checked in and was given room key and was advised that the car park for the hotel was a public car par which reqiuires a 3-4 minute walk back to hotel and was presented with a map with directions and a sheet of A4 paper with the hotels name on it to use as a parking permit.Went to car for luggage and upon going back into hotel was met by […] receptionist who allocated me another room as original room had not been cleaned yet at 3:30pm. Upon heading to room every floorboard in the place creaked and the decor was definately not up to 4 star standard. The room was not great either. The floor creaked and outside the bathroom door (which incidently did not close in frame) there was a dip in the floor which gave you a sinking feeling.If you sat in a chair the floor creaked.If you sat on the bed the floor creaked .Basically if you looked at the floor it creaked. Room was clean but was very outdated and the furniture would not have looked out of place in a 1970s setting. The highlight of our stay was the cooked breakfast (NOT!!!). The breakfast had been cooked to within an inch of its life and it was nigh on impossible to cut the bacon, potato scone and the sausage. TOP TIP: Stick to the scrambled egg or cereal. Overall poor. Do yourself a favour and dont go there.Certainly not worth the money. Hotel looks impressive from the outside but dear o dear the inside is awful .NEVER AGAIN!!!! Lees meer

We enjoyed our stay at the Columba Hotel. Very convienent for shopping and Eden Court theatre. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We book again if returning to Inverness

The Columba Hotel is in an excellent location to explore Inverness! The staff were excellent and helped book a great tour to Loch Ness!

A couple of minor complaints...rooms were not easily accessible with all stairs. Bathtub/Shower were tough to use. Loud doors/toilet. Parking was not convenient at all. Perfect location. Our view of the castle was breathtaking. Location was very convenient - great shopping in the area and variety of restaurants. "Expensive, but a nice stay."
Conveniently located, comfortable, and clean. The breakfast was hearty, if not inspired. Overall, a nice stay.

"The Columba Hotel"
Although the location of this establishment is convenient, that is where the merits of this hotel ends. Upon arriving we were assigned a room with a double bed instead of twins. When we requested to be moved, we were moved to a room where there was something wrong with the plumbing and there was a constant awful noise in the rooms. Furthermore, the […] beds were sagging and hanging towards one side. We were then moved to a third room where there was no noise - to the credit of the receptionist she did try to accommodate us. The beds were however not very comfortable as they creaked whenever you sat or lay on them. The breakfast was also not up to standard. For the price we paid this can only be labelled as a disgrace. "Columba Hotel - not worth 4* - in need of refurb"
We were very disappointed in the standard of this 4* hotel. As a Scot, I am embarrassed to say that hotels in provincial Scotland have a lot to learn in terms of what is expected by international travellers. We booked for two nights but checked out after only one. It surprised us somewhat that we were not asked why we were leaving early; is this a […] common event? Our room had peeling and chipped paintwork and mould in the shower-room (there was not a bath). The carpets throughout are threadbare, Overall, the decoration is very tired looking and in need of a serious refurbishment. The view from our room was of a neighbouring roomtop, where people threw bread to feed seagulls and pigeons - not the most scenic! The hotel does not have dedicated parking, but had some parking available in an office 1/4 mile away. The breakfast buffet was disappointing with luke warm food swimming in oil. The menu states "porridge made as you like it" - if you like it lumpy, from a small electric cauldron, then you will be happy! Lees meer

If you're visiting Inverness, try for the Columbia Hotel and beg for a front room on an upper floor. On the river, across from the Castle and next to the Eden Court Theater with a safe car park and fabulous breakfast. The dining room menu is brilliant-- food superb. Owner was very friendly but hotel was just very old and need update in many ways. Bath tub was great. But sheet was thin and slightly dump. Breakfast was great. So if you are not picky and want to save a little money, this works and I won't go back again. Wonderful location. The onlky negative was that the breakfast buffet was limited when compared with other hotels we stayed at but the food was excelent quality. The dining room staff were plentiful but only interested in setting up for dinner and not willing to assist some other guests we saw when it came to providing comfortable seating for a mobility […] challenged guest by using a table already set up for dinner. "Nice hotel but just too hot in room"
Staff efficient and friendly, reception areas nicely decorated, excellent breakfast, great location for town/shopping etc and room was ok though view from window was a brick wall. Two problems - room was too hot and window would only open slightly and about 3am the seagulls by the river bank started squawking and never stopped................

"Cama muy buena"
La situación muy buena. La cama estaba muy bien, pero el baño era lamentable. Desconchones en la bañera, grifos de dos mandos por donde se salía el agua, la cisterna funcionaba fatal, etc. Desayuno bufet completo: English breakfast.
Genial beliggenhet, hyggelig personale og koselig pub. Veldig slitent bad, trangt rom og elendig utsikt. Kjempehard seng. Veldig lytt ut til gangen. Ikke veldig imponerende frokost.

Trevligt bemötande i recptionen. Det visade sig vara en svensk tjej. Hissen gick tyvärr inte upp till våningsplanet utan man fick bära väskor 5-6 trappsteg. Saknade handdusch Men rummen var stora och rymliga. Parkering fanns i närheten. Läget var mycket bra, nära centrum.
Das Hotel ist zentral gelegen. Unser Zimmer war nach hinten und es war sehr leise dort. Das Zimmer war sauber. Die Heizung ist elektrisch und reicht nicht aus, um das Zimmer vernünftig zu erwärmen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Kosten für WiFi sind zu hoch. Das Frühstücksbüffet war ok. Wir würden hier wieder übernachten.

"super godt og centralt beliggende hotel"
flotte værelser, god morgenbuffet, ligger super centralt. Har egen cafe som er god både til drink og til spiseligt.
