We spent four nights in the Hotel. Unfortunately the first night there was some sort of compressor in a storeroom quite close which made a lot of noise, but we were moved immediately when we mentioned it. We ended up at the front of the hotel which was perfect, the room was very spacious, the beds were really comfortable and its only about 3 minutes […] walk to the Matro which gets you down to the heart of things in a few minutes. We found everyone very pleasant and would highly recommend the hotel. Small bit of advice, if you are getting a taxi from the airport ask what the price should be, we were charged €27 to get there, the receptionist got us a taxi back to the airport for only €10. Very nice hotel with an interesting theme. No frills but perfect for a short city break.

great place to stay, clean rooms, and very pleasant staff could be closer to downtown, however is very close to metro station

Hotel was very good, extremely clean and comfortable hightly reccomended.

There was some construction in the neighborhood during the day. We first thought it was storms so it was not to bad, The neighborhood is great. Hertz is walking distance. in all of Portugal, narrow high heels are a problem. The sidewalks are rock/cobblestones and difficult with heels.

I visited Lisbon last week and stayed at the Hotel Florida Lisbon. Our trip was great up until when I went to the airport on the morning of Nov 24th only to find that the entire country was on strike starting at midnight. All flights were canceled. The entire country was shutdown. Apparently this strike was a planned even for several months. In fact, […] it was announced a few days prior as a definite event that any portugese person would know of. The hotel staff however failed to communicate to any of us of these plans. Upon waking up at 430am to go to the airport and checking out, it was not communicated that there was a strike. Instead, nothing was said and I took a pricey taxi to the airport to find that the airport was closed. Further, when returning to the hotel to stay another night, the front desk pleaded ignorance that they did not know anything about this until I brought up the subject. I warn against staying at this hotel if you are not in tune to speaking portugese. Stay at a better hotel like a Marriott where the staff would take a moment to inform you of any serious events that might cause you great agony, such as a preannounced country wide shut down on the day you are scheduled to fly out of the country. I really wasn't expecting much, but once I got to the hotel everyone was friendly and the room was great. I LOVED the location. The metro is right around the corner aside a Taxi stand which came in handy when I left for the airport. I loved the clean decor and well just every aspect of the room. Hotel Florida is relatively small hotel. It is rated as 4 stars hotel but I would say three or three and half stars. Hotel room we were staying was big enough for three of us but had very primitive and cheap look. Hotel and room were pretty clean but need renovation. This hotel is in excellent location with easy access to public transportation. Metro […] station, bus, hop on bus, and tourists bus stops right next to the hotel. This hotel would be 3 stars at best by UK standard. I did not sleep at all the first night as my room was located near some kind of staff lift or boiler which was really really noisy. The reception staff were very helpful and changed my room. The second room was fine and comfortable. There was a nasty smell in the bathroom so it appears they may have […] a problem with the drains or sewage system in certain parts of the hotel (1st room did not have this smell). Location was fine but better to get a bus up from the centre of Lisbon if coming back late at night. Its only a 5 mins ride. Hotel was helpful and kept my bags for half a day after check out for no charge. Didn't have breakfast there so can't comment on the food. Lees meer

My daughter and I jumped off our flight into Lisbon and caught the "Aerobus" right outside the airport terminal. It cost $3.50 Euro's per person to ride the shuttle. We jumped off at the Marques de Pompel square and the hotel was just around the round-about. The Metro station was also located right in the square which made our daily commute around Lisbon […] extremely easy. The hotel was very clean and the bathroom provided a shower that actually had room, compared to some of the other European showers where you can't even turn around in them. The only two criticisms that we had is that there weren't very many restaurants within a block or two from the hotel so we had to walk about ten minutes to find more options. Breakfast was not included in the price of the hotel, which wasn't a problem for my daughter and I but others may have issue with this. Lastly, the desk staff did not inform us that the wireless internet card we purchased for $3 Euros per hour had to be completely used up once you logged on initially. We wasted a full hour by not being aware of this information. All in all however, this hotel was a good experience. The staff was a little chilly but you don't have to interface with them very often! The hotel is in a decent location and very well kept with big rooms (for europe) and nice bathrooms. If the hotel staff had been even somewhat friendly I would definitely recommend it and stay again. Unfortunately, the all of the hotel staff aside from the housekeepers were incredible rude, unhelpful, and just plain unfriendly. From the second we walked […] into the lobby until the time we checked out five days later there was never a single smile. When we arrived it was around 9am. The man at the desk asked why we were there and gave us looks as if we were being judged. We were told the room was not ready, but to come back at 10am. This was no problem at all as check in is not until the afternoon. We asked that they hold our bags at the desk while we explored some adn this seemed to be a terrible inconvenience for them. When we came back to get our room, the same man asked a flat "what do you want?" We asked to check in again, and with a big annoyed sigh he went to the computer. We then asked him for our bags, and with another annoyed look he took us to the closet and opened it up but then just pointed. There were a lot of bags covering ours, but he had us search through to find ours and then slammed the door after us. Other things we asked the front desk were about good places for dinner (frowned, gave us one suggestion and immediately left the desk, was extremely annoyed when we asked where it was, and when we went to this restaurant it was a terrible tourist trap with 50 euro meals that looked awful), the time (the man at the desk rudely responded with "its time for you to go to bed"). Upon check out they told us that we owed 40 euros for phone calls. My sister had asked the front desk if she could use the phone card she had and if there would be any additional charges and they said no extra charge. So she used it (yes, it was used correctly) but the front desk then told us that they would be charged. The argument went on for a while and the hotel refused to show he Lees meer

Hotel Florida is a nice clean hotel with large rooms and nice bathrooms. Good Air Conditioning, which was necessary for our late Sept visit. We made the mistake of following the advice of the staff and walking downtown on the first day. It's a 15-20 minute walk, which isn't bad, but when added to the hours of walking you're going to be doing to see […] the downtown area- it's too much. Instead take the metro 2-3 stops (very easy)- it's very worth it, saves your legs for the nicer and more interesting areas of downtown. Lees meer

Do not book it inclusive of the breakfast instead grab a pastry and coffee at the pastelaria down the street. Service and place was great. Would not compare it to a W or the likes but for a city hotel it's got everything you need.

This hotel was so modern and clean, we could not have asked for more. The rooms are rather tiny but for a city hotel, I wouldn't expect much larger. We were surprised with a huge balcony off of our room with a view of the city that we absolutely loved. The rooms were clean and cozy. There was also a safe for us to use for free that was very useful to […] put our passports and other important stuff in. The free breakfast buffet is also clutch when getting ready to head out for a long day of exploring. The location is also great being so close to the Marque de Pombal metro stop - the location could not have been better. I stayed in this hotel in September for 3 nights. the 1st night we were taken to our room which was pokey, the bed had a dip in the middle, the toilet smelled of sewage and the lift (which we were next to) rattled the room all night. When we complained about the standard of the room we were moved to another room for the rest of the stay and were startled […] at the size difference. the room we had been moved to was 1/3 bigger than the previous one with a far higher standard in the finish and bathroom. So I would advise that anyone put in rooms next to the lift (rooms ending in 21) immediately as for another. Other than this (and the fact that check in moves at an astonishingly slow pace) I would recommend this quirky hotel - it was well located with a nice breakfast and a laid back feel that made for a lovely stay Lees meer

Friendly staff. Family rooms good for 4 people. Very good extensive breakfast buffet included. Huge double beds. Mini gym. Safe provided in room. Very pleasant experience for 3 days which our kids loved too. Good location just away from old Lisbon, but only 4 stops on bus. Metro outside. Local bus #22 (terminus) to airport next door.

this hotel has style and is nicely decorated but when we arrived our room smelled really strongly of chemicals. We did not spend much time in the room but after a couple of days the smell wore off to reveal a sewage smell. We were leaving the next day so did not asked to be moved. breakfast ok

Gostei bastante do hotel. É bem confortável e fui muito bem atendido, exceto em uma situação: eu saí à noite, voltei às 4h e o hotel estava fechado! Apertei um botão de emergência que não funciona e então tive de socar os vidros para que alguém me ouvisse. Outros pontos que podem ser melhorados: a iluminação do quarto (muito intimista para o meu gosto) […] e a banheira, que tinha uma tampa que era praticamente impossível de ser removida com as mãos, a não ser por quem tem unha grande, o que não é o meu caso. Très bon hôtel, bien situé à proximité des sites touristiques et bien desservi par les transports en commun. Superbe vue sur la Place Marquis de Pombal depuis la salle de restauration...

Personalen var trevlig och hjälpsam och hotellet fint. Kul med filmtema och filmcitat på varje våning, samt att rummen hette som diverse filmstjärnor! Rent och fräsht! Promenadavstånd till det mesta. Något tråkigt område att gå ut och äta frukost i, samt svårt att hitta supermarkets. Men i det stora hela ett toppenhotell! =) Med tanke på det låga priset […] och det vi fick för det spelar frukostsituationen en mycket försvinnande roll. Helt klart prisvärt! Lees meer

Vi vel absolutt anbefale dette hotellet! Vi fikk ett stort rom, men det var nok siden vi hadde med oss et barn! Veldig hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening! 10 min gange til sentrum! Prøvde ikke frokosten på hotellet, men det ligger andre alternativer i nærheten! Flott opphold for en rimelig penge. Kommer gjerne igjen:)

O hotel tem ótima localização, boas instalações e o café da manhã também é muito bom. Fiquei muito satisfeita e o único ponto negativo foi que cheguei por volta das 10h da manhã e só pude fazer o check-in às 13:30h. Isso é a regra e está descrito no site, no entanto, a falta de simpatia e vontade de ajudar especificamente de uma das recepcionistas foi […] o único ponto negativo que pude observar. kaikki toimi kuin käkikello: huone sopivan tilava, palvelu ystävällistä ja tehokasta, aamiainen (ei sisältynyt hintaan) runsas ja monipuolinen. käytimme julkisia ainoastaan "turisteillaksemme", muuten kävelimme joka paikkaan.

Hotel con rapporto qualità prezzo bassissimo. Pulizia camere ottima, spazio camera ZERO. Personale ottimo ma in compenso 100 euro sono esageratamente troppi

3 godt voksne, ett par og en "allene" - snitt alder ca 67 (!) komt til et stilig, rent hotell med bra beliggenhet og positiv betjening. God, innholdsrik frokost. Hele hotellet var preget av filmhistorie, vi bodde på hhv Audrey Hepburn og Spielberg rommene, dobbeltrommet hadde også en liten forstue med sofa og TV. Metro og start/stopp på sightseeing […] busser like ved. Gangavstand til "Gamlebyen" - ca. 15 minutter med flere "vannhull" underveis. Anbefales! Lees meer

Meget bra standard på rom, senger og bad + service. Overhodet ingenting å klage over. Når prisen dertil var lav og beliggenheten sentral, blir hotellet et funn. Frokostsalen og frokosten var også meget god. Vi var der i to omganger med 1 ukes mellomrom. Stort rom første gang, litt vel trangt andre gangen, men greitt nok.

Très bon hôtel, très confortable, et doté d'un excellent petit déjeuner. Malgré quelques problèmes au niveau de la chambre (mauvaise insonorisation, mauvais coulissement de la porte de la salle de bain (du moins dans notre chambre)), l'hôtel, en général, reste pour le moins accueillant, accessible, et le personnel très sympathique polyglotte. Mais c'est aussi parce qu'il est près du coeur de Lisbonne que son seul inconvénient est d'être bruyant. Il gagnerait à être muni de doubles vitrages Sinon la salle du petit déjeuner offre une belle vue sur la ville. Confort, décoration, équipements tout est très bien.

All things are good. But some unpleasant smell from the air conditioner, Luckily I can open the window for ventilation.

Informo que ja havia me hospedado no hotel Florida pelo menos 4 vezes desde 2007.Mas relatarei o que aconteceu desta ultima vez. Chegamos as 8:30 da manha no hotel e nos informaram que só haveria quartos vagos a partir das 11:00 até ai tudo bem , pois isso geralmente funciona assim mesmo .Retornamos no horario combinado e tivemos que aguardar no saguão […] do mesmo até as 13:00 para conseguir a chave de um quarto. Nos colocaram em um quarto horrivel atras do elevador , onde era impossivel descansar com o barulho que o motor do mesmo fazia . Só conseguiram nos trocar de quarto no dia seguinte , onde após mais uma noite em claro tambem tivemos que ficar cerca de 2 hrs aguardando pela liberação do novo quarto. Portanto minha dica é , se a idéia é descansar, evite o Hotel Florida. Lees meer

Väldigt trevligt hotell med rolig inredning inspirerad av olika filmer. Tunnelbana finns precis över gatan vilket var väldigt bra. Frukosten är lite dyr men det finns massor av cafer i närheten där man kan äta frukost annars. Rummet var jättefint och fräscht personalen på hotellet var också väldigt trevliga. Jag kan rekommendera hotell Florida till […] alla som ska till Lissabon. Lees meer

Hôtel bien entretenu à 2 pas du métro et environ 15 min à pied de la vieille ville. La chambre était confortable et propre. Décoration moderne dans un style "film américain". Malheureusement, l'accès à internet est payant. Très satisfait du séjour. Y retournerai en cas de nouveau voyage à Lisbonne
