Prima hotel, goede service, internet uitstekend, alleen de shuttle bus rijdt niet tussen 12.00 en 15.00 uur, ook als je naar helsinki wilt moet je eerst met de shuttlebus terug naar de airport en vanaf daar de bus naar het centrum nemen. Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding uitstekend.

De ligging van het hotel is prima, dichtbij het centrum. Hoewel de receptie enigszins ouderwets aandoet, zijn de kamers modern en schoon. Het restaurant is eenvoudig, maar goed.
Ligging.
Scandic Simonkenttä ligt in Helsinki. dit hotel is een gezinsvriendelijke accommodatie in de buurt van Kamppi Center, Stockmanns en Kauppahalli. In de buurt vind je ook Esplanadi en Nationaal theater.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Scandic Simonkenttä heeft een healthclub en een sauna. De zakelijke voorzieningen bij deze 4-sterrenaccommodatie zijn onder andere een businesscentrum, vergaderruimtes voor kleine groepen en vergaderruimtes. Dit hotel met een groen/duurzaam beleid heeft een restaurant, een koffiebar/café en een bar/lounge. Gasten krjjgen gratis ontbijt. Het personeel kan op verzoek een conciërgeservice, zakelijke diensten en een geldwisseldienst regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een dakterras, meertalig personeel en een wasserij. Parkeerruimte is tegen betaling beschikbaar, maar beperkt.
Hotelkamers.
Bij Scandic Simonkenttä zijn kamers met airconditioning voorzien van onder andere een kluis en een gratis krant. Elke kamer is voorzien van een draadloze internetverbinding. Elke televisie heeft premiumkanalen via de kabel, een internetverbinding via tv (toeslag) en betaalfilms. Elke kamer beschikt over een bureau en een telefoon met directe buitenlijn. Elke badkamer is voorzien van een bad/douchecombinatie, een föhn en gratis toiletartikelen.
Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een strijkplank/strijkijzer en openslaande ramen. Bovendien kun je op verzoek gebruikmaken van voorzieningen zoals hypoallergeen beddengoed, extra handdoeken/beddengoed en een telefonische wekdienst. Een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag worden aangerekend.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.

Groot en druk hotel dichtbij centrum en haven van Helsinki. Kamers waren prima. Helsinki in de zomer een leuke en plezierige stad.

"Good hotel close by everything"
Easy access to public transportation, be it train or bus (services in general very good and widely used by all in Finland). Good breakfast buffet. Getting a taxi in the morning can be a challenge, so better pre-order the previous night. Surprisingly small and ill-equipped gym for a hotel of this size and age.
Convenient location and great breakfast but a bit on the expensive side.
1.Cleaning was perfect in room but could have been better at the area around lobby. 2.As a hotelier I dont accept the excuse of the barman "sorry Icant serve you because I finished with the orders 5 minutes ago".

"Brief stop over in Helsinki"
On my way to Italy for a months holiday, I flew Finnair and decided to break up the trip with a day and a half in Helsinki. Helsinki was fabulous even in the heavy snow and the Scandic Simonkentta was excellent. The staff were great and very helpful, the room was extremely comfortable. The rooms were a fabulous temperature which belied the heavy snow […] falls outside. "Excellent location in the centre of Helsinki"
Excellent location, if you need to use train or buses, but also for shopping etc. The room was amazingly quiet, even its location is in the middle of town centre - at least in the 6th floor.

The room was without comforts - not even a clock. It did have a soft chair, and the bed was fine. It was overheated and the thermostat did not control the temperature. And I like bar soap.

The room was very tidy and there was little street noise heard. The free wireless internet was an added bonus and the staff at the front desk were very helpful on trying to find local shops. The free continental breakfast was amazing and had anything you could think of....not basic in the least. However, if you are going to eat in the hotel restaurant […] i don't suggest ordering the shrimp sandwich, it didn't contain fresh shrimp only small canned shrimp. On the other hand the chicken pesto pasta was excellent and i would recommend it to everyone!! Lees meer

"Good class hotel"
Breakfast is good. Variety of selections. Room is clean and modern. Free wifi is a bonus. Near to the heart of shopping and entertainment. It is so convenient as the hotel is located near to the train station and shuttle bus terminal to the airport

Great location in centre of Helsinki - 5 minutes walk from central train station & bus station. Many shops nearby including 24 hour convenience stores. The hotel is within walking distance of almost all attractions (because Helsinki is relatively small) and 10 minutes to the harbour area where the cruises start. "Good hotel, breakfast good but not great."
Hotel room is comfortable and free wifi is good. The breakfast room gets busy and the while the selection is good the quality is not top class.

My daughter and I stayed at the Scandic Simonkentta in July during an usually not time in Helsinki. There was virtually no air conditioning in our room even though the front desk claimed that there was. We could only open one window so it was hot hot hot!! Otherwise, the hotel was very nice, conveniently located to everything. One last note, if you […] rent a car, there is an additional 15 euros per day charge for parking the car. The hotel is located where all the action is...Dining, Outdoor Cafes, Shopping Mall, Museums and a short walk to the Harbor. The Trolley stop is located just outside the lobby door.

The Scandic Simonkennta in Helsinki had a superb central location, its bar and restaurant overlooking one of the main squares and right by the railway and bus stations, the Kiasma Contemporary Art Museum, The Ataneum Museum and the Amos Anderson Museum. It was also within easy walking distance of many other of the main sights, such as the Senate Square. […] It was comfortably and unpretentiously modern throughout. The rooms had beautifully designed and manufactured integral wood fittings and furnishings, and was sensibly free of swanky luxuries and tacky extras such as a mini-bar or insistent adverts for Pay TV. The gym and sauna were well maintained. Prices in the restaurant were reasonable and in line with the locality, and the fellow guests international and of a pleasant demeanour. Bikes were available to borrow, and the staff was friendly and self-confident, thanks no doubt in part to Finland's excellent education system and relative social-democratic egalitarianism. Lees meer

We enjoyed this award winning hotel very much. It had all of the convienences that you needed -- hair dryer, iron and ironing board, etc. The breakfast buffet had good hours and had everything you could want. We were about 3 blocks from the train station and bus stops.

A wonderful value. Good location, very comfortable, all necessary amenities, and great buffet full breakfasts. Free bicycles when available--the perfect way to get around in Helsinki. I will stay there again when in town!

Olen erittäin tyytyväinen, Scandic/Simonkenttä lunasti taas odotukset. Parkkeerausta myöten kaikki toimi kuten toivoa saattaa. Olimme jo valita toisen hotellin, mutta laatu ja ennen kaikkea sijainti ratkaisi tässä tapauksessa. Muussa tapauksessa olilsin mennyt Scandic/Grand Marinaan, jossa yleensä yövyn Helsingissä käydessäni.
