Pacific Inn and Suites heeft 34 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een kluis en een gratis krant. Alle bedden hebben een pillowtop-matras. Elke kamer is voorzien van een draadloze internetverbinding. Elke televisie heeft premiumkanalen via de kabel.
Bovendien kun je op verzoek gebruikmaken van voorzieningen zoals een koelkast, een magnetron en een föhn.

We hadden een kamer met uitzicht op de tropische tuin, prachtig. Kamer van alle gemakken voorzien. Wel veel problemen gehad bij het inchecken: men vroeg om onze creditcard als borg voor eventuele uitgaven die wij tijdens ons verblijf zouden maken. Onze card werkte echter niet en dat werd als een (abnormaal) groot probleem gezien; ondanks dat wij aanboden om tot 500 dollar cash te 'betalen'; men wilde ons zelfs in 1e instantie als gast weigeren, terwijl het hotel natuurlijk al via hotels.com betaald was. Zeer onaangenaam en men ging pas meewerken nadat we erg hebben opgespeeld; uiteindelijk 100 dollar borg betaald. Geen leuk begin van een verder overigens prima verblijf daar.

Prima locatie om van daaruit San Diego te ontdekken. Naar o.a. de Zoo, het Balbaopark en ophaaladres van huurauto gebracht en opgehaald met shuttledienst van het hotel, ideaal. Schone kamer, van alle gemakken voorzien. Redelijk ontbijt met plastic bordjes en bestek.

Heerlijk hotel, niet ver van Sea World, San Diego Zoo, uss Midway, Gaslamp, Old Town en het strand. Allemaal binnen acceptabele tijd per auto te bereiken. Super mooi hotel met ruime kamers. Het is wel een gehorig hotel, wat vooral in het weekend lawaai met zich mee bracht van buren. Door de weeks was de marine aan de overkant van het water met trainingen bezig. Dit vonden wij niet heel storend, maar het geluid is er wel. Verder zit ontbijt er niet bij in en is heel duur als je dat nog bij wilt nemen. Dat is echt een minpunt. Als je dit hotel boekt, hou er rekening mee dat het twee locaties zijn. Wij zaten in de tower en het 'grotere gebeuren' was verder op. We hadden wel een lobby, servicebalie, restaurant en verwarmd zwembad, dus dat is prima voor elkaar. De starbucks en de grote lobby van de foto's zit in het andere gedeelte. De kamers zijn echt super ruim! We hadden een ruim zitgedeelte en eettafel erbij, en dat voor een gewone kamer. Uitzicht op zee was erg mooi.

Het hotel ligt midden in het uitgaansgebied; veel restaurants in de omgeving en ook de winkelstraat is om de hoek. De bediening is gastvrij en zeer vriendelijk. Het ontbijt is echter simpel, maar dat schijnt in Amerika normaal te zijn. Kortom: als je op zoek bent naar een centraal gelegen hotel met alle gewenste voorzieningen in de buurt en ruime kamers, dan ben je bij Gaslamp Plaza suites op het juiste adres!
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag worden aangerekend.

De luchthaven van San Diego ligt vlak bij het water en ten noordwesten van het centrum. Je vindt bij de luchthaven het Diego Convention Center, het PetCo Park-stadion en de Gaslamp Quarter's. De restaurants en bars van deze wijk zijn het middelpunt van het nachtleven van de stad. Balboa Park en de San Diego Zoo zijn de groene strook van deze stedelijke jungle. Op Coronado Island heb je een prachtig uitzicht op de skyline van de stad.

A Good Functional Room that did not disappoint! I had stayed there before and this hotel lived up to my expectations from my last experience. Parking and location to downtown made it very convenient! Staff was excellent and continental breakfast very good. I would definitely stay here AGAIN !!

This is a nice little hotel for a nicer price. No problems whatsoever, except that the Hotels.com listing said the breakfast includes make your own waffles, which was not the case. They just had the standard pastries, juice, cereal, and bagles.

Even though we had a non-smoking room, everyone including the front desk guy, smoked right outside the rooms and the front desk. The desk people were nice and friendly. The pool was ice cold and no Jacuzzi with pool. The Jacuzzi adveritsed was in ONE hotel room only and it was taken! "Covienient location"
Very close to train and trolly system, I walked. 2 blocks to "Little Italy" I walked. Breakfast was minimal, but enough. Staff was very friendly, price was very reasonable. Give it a try, you might like it for the covenience.

The property looks much better from the outside than what the rooms do, however for a few nights in San Diego one shouldn't expect a five star at this price. The front desk personnel were very professional and took time to give directions and explain in detail any questions brought forth. The rooms were clean and comfortable but very outdated. This place was perfect for an overnight stay. Closeby to where we wanted to go, which was the harbor, and have a nice walk to our destination. It is convenient, reasonable for the price range, even if that meant hearing the train or plane, any hour of the day.No problem for us. Location is the biggest plus and I would recommend it for those insisting […] on budget first. The breakfast was good. The usual coffee, cereal, fruit, bagels w/cream cheese, or honeybuns...no complaints here. I wasnt expecting a big breakfast buffet and what was there sufficed. Staff was friendly and room was nice. You can hear others if they are too loud in their room, but thank goodness it wasnt like that when we were there which happened to be Presidents Day weekend. Sure you can hear noise, but thats expected in a hotel. Overall...we would recommend this for those not minding to walk, explore and ignore the city noise that comes with the city. This is city life. I stayed in this hotel while attending a conference at a much more expensive hotel several blocks away. It was a terrific value: clean, safe, and friendly service. Because of its location-Pacific Highway- It was quite noisy-trains a block away, planes overhead and the noise from 2nd floor occupants walking around their room was also loud. The staff was very friendly and helpful wirh printing boarding passes. The price was very good and the Inn was very convenient to the airport

Great deal for the price- I would stay there again. The staff is friendly and the facilities are very clean. Rooms appear to be recently renovated. Location is FANTASTIC for visitng the harbor, zoo, sea world, & Little Italy!!! Little Italy is within walking distance, as are many other downtown sites. Staff at the motel was VERY helpful, especially Shari!! Shari was a fountain of information!! Would definitely stay here, if visitng San Diego!!

This property is an excellent location for any San Diego based activities. It is one block from the San Diego Bay and one block to get onto Hwy 5- we had to be in San Diego for oncology appointments at Balboa Naval Hospital and found this location and price to be very convenient and affordable. The property is well maintained, carpeting all looked very […] new and very clean. the staff, especially the front desk, Shari and John are knowledgeable about the area and very helpful. We will book there again whether attending doctor appointments or picking up friends flying into San Diego. The airport is less than a mile, BUT we never heard the planes. I stayed at Pacific Inn for the recent convention. It was in a very convenient location, only 2 miles from the convention center. Price was reasonable. Downsides to this hotel (which is really more of a motel) are the train tracks behind with loud train horns at night/ early morning and the general lack of amenties (no business center or computer access.) Neighborhood was nice, Food places close. 1 block from the water with lots to see. Close to lots of stuff in SD. Train and trolley 1 block away--cheap transport. Staff was very friendly,nice and helpful. Printed out my departure air-pass for me. Breakfast was great, not ritzie but great. Room clean and well supplied. Needed extra towel and blanket--no […] problem. Price was awesome--I registered way early. Bed was comfortable. AC-HEATER worked great. Recommend to a friend? The people were very nice and very helpful! I wanted a fridge in my room to help save money on food on this trip but I didn't have one in my first room. So she moved me to a different room with a fridge and a microwave! Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and the free breakfast and wifi were such a bonus! I'd stay here again!

YES trains, but can't beat the location. Walking distance to Maritime Museum, Seaport Village, Little Italy, and probably a lot of other stuff we just didn't see. Thought I read somewhere that continental breakfast was make-your-own waffles, so was disappointed when it was cereal, bagel, orange, apple, etc. But still, LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!

"Good location, bad rooms"
Stayed at the Pacific Inn for one evening and it wasn't that great of a stay. . . The parking for the place is a bit small, and the parking lot was up an incline, so if you are in any type of sport car, expect it to get scratched going up the hill. The room felt humid, which seemed to be from its proximity to the water, which I guess was okay / expected. There […] were ants crawling around on the counter of bathroom. And after returning from dinner, there was a rather large roach in the shower. We had to get the front desk attendant to come in and dispose of the roach - pretty gross. . . Hotel was advertised to have a hot breakfast with a waffle machine, but when we went down in the morning, they only offered pastries. We were VERY pleased with the Pacific Inn and Suites in San Diego. We had taken the coaster down in preparation for an EARLY morning flight. Easy walking distance from the Santa Fe depot, two blocks to Little Italy for dinner and close to the airport for a cab ride. The price for all this was unbelievable low.

The location was good for walking tours and driving to/from San Diego. However, hotel is overpriced for room condition and overall maintenance. If you want a quiet nights sleep you might grab a few hours between midnight and 4 a.m., this is when the trains do not run (main line is next to hotel) and the airport is closed.

Thoroughly enjoyed staying at this Hotel. Excellent rates, great location, friendly helpful staff. Included breakfast was OK - loved the fresh fruit. I could never reccomend this hotel to anyone because it was very noisy. As we walked to our room, we passed several open doors with young kids drinking and belting out obsenities. People were out most of the early morning both nights of our stay, talking very loudly and disturbing other guests. "Poor service"
The front desk lady overcharged my card- twice- and was very rude to us about her mistake. The next front desk worker was nicer- but did not know how to program the key card..... the rooms were clean and well sized and the location was good, but don't let those workers at the front desk get a hold of your credit card!
For a downtown San Diego event this hotel is great value. We had an event at the Symphony Hall and this location was great for that.

Great staff - very helpful! Room was exactly as I would expect for the price. Very clean and comfortable. The only disappointment to me was the size of the bathtub in my King room. It was smaller than my too small bathtub at home, and when I am on a business trip, at the end of a very long day, all I can think about is a long hot bath.....I barely fit […] in the tub and took showers the rest of my stay. Otherwise, the bed was very comfortable, I had wifi for my itouch and ereader and got enough tv channels to find something to watch. good location; breakfast above the average of this kind; the train running nearby will stop around 11:00pm, so not that bad as stated by others.

This hotel is quite simple, but the best part is that it is very clean for an inexpensive room. Trains/trolley are noisy, but that wasn't an issue for us and they don't run very late in the evening. Several restaurants are within walking distance. It was perfect for our short stay.

"Just right"
We stayed here the night before an early flight. We had our two cats with us. No extra pet charge, no hassle getting a reservation. We got our early wakeup call as ordered. We heard one train whistle and no airplanes. Although it was not luxurious, the hotel was clean, convenient, and I would recommend it to others.

Place isn't fancy but staff is very friendly, room clean. The quality of the breakfast was quite a surprise - excellent for a continental. "Great Overnight Hotel"
Front desk staff was friendly and we got an unexpected upgrade to a King room. The room was nothing fancy, but was clean and even though it was a "smoking" room, it didn't smell like it was. The hotel is conveniently located to both air and sea ports, which was the main reason we choose it. Also it was inexpensive. The hotel was clean and offered a god level of amenities such as a pool, outdoor tables and a continental breakfast. However it is adjacent to the main railroad tracks and the trains blared through until 1 am and started up again […] at 6 a.m. So if you like trains this is the place for you. Lees meer
