Windsor Florida Hotel in Rio de Janeiro

Great value for the money. Nice premises, pool on the roof, good restaurant. Nice staff - though front desk girl somehow distracted. Neighborhood is just OK, there are better closer to Copacabana or Ipanema, but easy to access using hotel transportation. We stayed for family vacations.

Excellent service, good location. First room was in old part and the window AC was noisy, safe was broken and poor window view. We were moved into a room in new section with central AC, large working safe and better view. Pleased to find the outlets were 110v. Very nice shower. Roof top pool was clean and very nice. Superb breakfast!

It´s a very good hotel ! The room is very nice and clean. The breakfast is one of the best in Rio de Janeiro. You can get the Subway walking just 50m.

Pros: - good, relatively quiet location - convenient hotel garage across the street - reasonable breakfast - large rooms (901) - Internet ok, but to be charged additionally Cons: - it's kind of outdated and needs some upgrades - some ants colony in the shower - a/con pretty noisy and old - not recommendable for romantics!

Really good hotel in a nice local area of Rio. Feels more local and less touristic than other area close to the beach. A lot of feel priced restaurants and shops nearby. During our stay with a late return flight (11 pm). The staff let us check-out 6pm, free of charge. Really kind of them!

We stayed here over the new year period as it was cheaper than the hotels nearer the action but it was very close to a metro and only 4 stops to Copacabana. It was close to lots of shops, bars and restaurants, not posh expensive ones but real ones that the locals use - And we like that. The breakfast was one of the best in our 3 month trip around […] South America. It was very busy but they never ran out of anything and were quick to serve coffee with a smile. There is a swimming pool on the roof with views of the city. Unfortunately, a taller hotel has been built right next to this one which blocks the view of Christ the Redeemer. Great location steps from Flamingo beach and walking distance to downtown. The room was a little scuzzy, the a slow shower drain, and the breakfast was almost inedible. The staff were very helpful when I wanted to change my flight, especially Jennifer!

The Hotel was great but not near the main tourist areas. If you are there on business I would reccomend it but if you were there to sightsee i would stay closer to one of the beaches.

The hotel is centrally located and very comfortable. But what makes it outstanding is the great service. The staff is warm, friendly and more than willing to help with tips, directions and suggestions.

I have visited Rio often and stayed in many different hotels but this was easily the best. The staff were superb. I have never encountered a reception desk as helpful and every member of the reception spoke good English - extremely unusual in Brazil. The restaurant in the hotel was excellent, extremely flexible about arrangements and varying dishes, […] particularly useful for snacks in the evening and the breakfast buffet was outstanding. Though it is not in the most tourist area its proximity to the metro means that it easy to get anywhere. There are good shops nearby and a HSBC with a reliable atm and safe place to withdraw cash at the end of the street. The first room we were allocated on the evening of our arrival was small but they changed (without any sort of fuss) the next morning for a lightier, more spacious room on the sixth floor. The higher floors are lighter. There was though no problem with noise, the street is not too noisy and the rooms are reasonably well insulated. Lees meer

This hotel was great. We booked a non-refundable reservation, then did not get our visas in time. The hotel agreed to honor our fully paid reservation on later dates, which they really did not have to do. The hotel then turned out to be very clean and nice, with a lovely breakfast buffet included and a great rooftop pool. Just got back from our second stay at this hotel. Really good value for money and staff so helpful. Breakfast was splendid.

Boa , tivemos um problema relacionado á obras ao lado do meu quarto no sabado e domingo , com muito barulho e incomodo.

Em nenhum momento do processo de reserva fui informado que a cobrança seria em Dolar e que em função disso eu teria de arcar com IOF...

Sempre sao os funcionarios que fazem a diferenca. Neste hotel tudos foram muito simpaticos e ajudaram muito em qualquer coisa. O quarto era perfeito para a familia, com uma cama grande, mais duas solteiros. Os precos no Rio em geral agora e outra coisa. Quase como ficar num hotel em Oslo, carissimo.

a parte "velha" do hotel deixa muito a desejar. acredito que o "novo" Windsor será nota 10...

Equipe atenciosa, hotel charmoso, quarto confortável. A localização não é das mais bonitas, mas não tivemos problemas e tem todo o necessário próximo. Foi ótimo!

O Hotel é ótimo! O quarto e banheiro são muito bons, limpinhos, e reformados. O café da manhã muito bom. O atendimento geral também foi ótimo! O Hotel fica localizado numa região não muito boa "visualmente" (tipo região central), em contrapartida, a região oferece muitos benefícios como mercados, bancos, lanchonetes etc. Um excelente benefício é o Metrô, […] que fica na esquina e nos livrou dos taxis para ir às praias e aos pontos turísticos. Apenas uma nota negativa a registar: a piscina constante da oferta estava inoperacional devido a obras, não nos tendo sido oferecida qualquer alternativa, o que foi uma pena dado que o tempo esteve um pouco instável impedindo-nos de observar os […] locais mais emblemáticos e aquela seria uma boa alternativa para ocupar melhor o tempo. Excelente atendimento, tanto na portaria quanto no restaurante, Pessoal educado e bem treinado. trata-se de estabelecimento limpo, muito bem localizado e de boa categoria. Hotel bem localizado, acesso fácil aos transportes urbanos, ônibus, metrô, com facilidade de deslocamento aos pontos turísticos de interesse. Funcionários prestativos, ótimo café da manhã.

O servico e a limpeza eh nota 10 dez,mas o apartamento tem camas minusculas e nao tem ventilacao propria ,somente por ar condicionado,alem disto as portas sao finas e ouve-se tudo do lado de dentro e de fora.Para o padrao Windsor isto eh pobreza.

Precisa modernizar os quartos, no meu tinha aparencia de velho. Muito boa ducha, ar bom, mas TV pequena.

Foi uma estadia maravilhosa, recomendaria para meus amigos.

Bom dia! Apesar do pouco tempo que estive hospedada neste hotel, pude observar uma alegria e bom humor dos funcionários que ali trabalham, o que deve ser um reflexo de que são bem tratados e consequentemente, transmitem isto aos hóspedes Obrigada Maria Inês.

Hotel com serviços, limpeza e conforto no quarto muito bons. Restaurante excelente. Recomendo a todos!

The staff is very professional and friendly. The hotel itself is quite big and not at all "boutique" hotel asformer pictures simulated (they seem to have taken them out now), but all in all the hotel has good quality and great breakfast, situated very closely to the underground station in a nice and quite safe area and therefore we would come back there. […] The building is currently enlarged, so people might hear constructions works but we cannot complain, there was no noise when we stayed there. A nossa estadia no Flórida foi perfeita. Já conhecemos o Hotel de outras ocasiões, e por isso, a nossa escolha... A localização é muito boa, próxima de tudo, praia, metrô, ônibus em toda parte, centro da cidade, monumentos, entre Pão de Açúcar e Corcovado, Lapa, restaurantes diversos, enfim, o que mais podemos querer, nada. Serviço excelente no Hotel. […] Maravilhoso, o Hotel há muito, muito, muito tempo que já é 4 estrelas. Procurem informar-se direitinho, e vamos mudar isso. Quarto 532, nota 10. Hotel excelente, atendimento excelente. A 50 m do metrô Catete. Comércio local excelente.

Localização boa, perto do centro e perto da zona sul. Quarto confortável e silencioso,banheiro bom. Café da manhã razoável. Recepção atenciosa. Não querendo comparar com hotéis de categorias superiores. Por mim ele fica bem em 3 estrelas nota 10.

Seria excelente se trocassem o carpete por piso de ceramica ou madeira, para facilitar a vida das pessoas alérgicas. O restante é excelente.
