Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites St. Paul NE - Lake Elmo in St. Paul

There was nothing particularly wrong with this hotel, just not what I expected from Holiday Inn, which is usually quite nice. Staff just weren't very friendly or helpful. Many things were broken... my hair dryer, elliptical in the gym, key card entry locks. I found the room to be quite noisy, I was frequently awakened by the noise of running water in […] the neighbouring room and I am not a light sleeper. Location was fine for my purposes and was easy to find. Swimming pool was better than average (large size, plenty of lounging area). The hotel itself was fine - small, but fine. The room smelled like smoke when we first walked in, but to the hotel's credit, they immediately sent up a air purifier while we went out to dinner. We have stayed at Wildwood twice before ... love it. We normally split the room charges and that always seems a bit confusing to them. but we get it done!

This hotel is much nicer than I expected. The beds were comfortable, the decor pleasant, and the location very convenient to 494/694/94-so you can get just about anywhere from here! The only drawback-and the reason for the slight downgrade, is that the walls & floors seem to transfer sound. I loved this hotel! Clean and spacious. Beds were very comfortable and I loved the patio door w/gate that opened onto the pool area. Room service was quick and not horribly expensive like a lot of hotels can be. We will definitely recommend this to friends and family and will be back ourselves.

The pool area was beautiful. Bathrooms were huge. Can't say enough about this wonderful hotel and customer service. Beds were wonderful. Absolutely a perfect hotel experience.

The room with a king bed was large as was the bathroom. Very clean and comfy. We only stayed one night and the walls were thin enough to hear someone snoring next door throughout the night and conversation from the other side the next day. So, nice but not as quiet as expected.
