Golden Nugget in Laughlin

Wij hadden verwacht dat onze kamers dicht bij elkaar lagen. Wij hadden dit bij de boeking ook aangegeven. Nu bleek dat ze op verschillende verdiepingen lagen. Op ons herhaald verzoek bij de receptie om dit te wijzigen kon niet worden voldaan. Jammer. Verder is dit hotel ons prima bevallen. Kwalitatief mooie ruime kamers voor een goede prijs.

Het hotel kan je gebruiken als tussenstop naar de grand canyon. Het is echter gelegen midden in niemandsland en kan beschouwd worden als een zeer klein Las Vegas met name een aantal grote casinohotels in 1 straat. Het was er wel verschrikkelijk warm (49°C) en de airco was dus zalig, nadeel dat zwembadwater te warm was en zeer klein. Ga even op stap […] achter de hotels aan de rivier en dan kom je een klein strandje tegen aan de Coloradoriver waar het water lekker koel is. The hotel staff was very pleasant and professional. The bed we had was one of the best beds that we had ever slept on while traveling. There is a walkway behind the hotel, next to the river, that made it easier to get from place to place.

Good size room and clean. Comfortable bed. Right on the river and on he strip. Very good value although a little dated. Wish all casinos would ban smoking!

Nice hotel with some good restaurants like Joe's Crab Shack. The primary casino though is full of smoke with it's low ceilings. They did have a separate, small, room, for machine gambling that was smoke-free. They charge too much for wireless connections to your computer. Quick valet parking service and close, self-serve garage parking.

The Best part of staying at the Golden Nugget was the fact that I lost my camera. I asked an employee and they immediately took me to the lost and found. The security there found my camera in the back. I was astonished and grateful, never thinking someone would turn it in. Just goes to show there are still plenty of good people out there. Good value for money, convenient to all amenitiies

and anywhere else for the price. The rooms are comfortable, the casino is nicely decorated, the staff is welcoming and friendly. I love this hotel!

We went during the week and the off-season, therefore we had a fantastic rate. We were very happy with our room, the service, the food.

I booked this on the day we stayed on Hotel.com I got what i thought was a good price for a premiium courtyard. On arrival they gave me a room on the third floor. It was unfortunitly overlooking the carpark. I was very disapointed, I went to the reception and asked another receptionist if that what they concidered a premium courtyard. She relooked […] at my Booking and agreed it was not what I had booked. She was very good and relocated us to a different room. which was overlooking the courtyard. So be aware of what you have booked and just check it is the correct room. Lees meer

Room was fine. Windows actually opened for fresh air until 5 a.m. when neighbors across the courtyard started talking loudly. Pleasant stay, surprised that in room coffee service was not free as in other hotels.

Room was clean but the bed sheets had holes in them. Don't get a room facing the garage - car alarms and noise kept us awake most of the night.

Excellent service and good staff. We would stay there again. Restaurants were good and the food was excellent.

I go to Laughlin often for work and have stayed in most of the casino/hotels, first time for Golden Nugget. Not a gambler so no opinion of the casinos, but clean rooms and food are important. Hotel was great for both. Steak house fine and I love Joe's Crab Shack. Room was nothing special but clean, comfortable and everything worked. If you travel a […] lot you know this is good! A fan in the bathroom would have been nice, but for the price during the week, we really had no complaints. The hotel is consistently very clean and the service is great. We appreciated the river walk.

Our room was fantastic, comfortable bed, super clean and good size. Downstairs in the casino is a different story. Now, when I'm in a casino, I expect cigarette smoke, there's just no way around it, but it was most noticeable at The Golden Nugget. I believe it's due to the extremely low ceilings. All of the other casinos have high, cathedral type ceilings […] but not this one, I'm 6' and could touch the ceiling with my hands. It made for a very toxic, noticeably smoky environment. The other downfall was the location of the hotel. It's at the end of the river walk which made it super inconvenient to get to say, the Riverside at the other end. I think next time I would prefer to stay more mid-river walk. On the other hand, the service was great, we had breakfast at Harlows and it was delish! The parking is very close and the pool and hotel grounds were very well kept and beautiful. Lees meer

well when you wake up most people like coffee well gold nugget likes to charge the room we stayed in was a boring view we looked at the other side. No morning breakfast no raido in the rooms a broken alarm clock raido did not work

Hotel accommodations met expectations. Buffet dinner could use improvement. It was not kept clean, but was rather messy with spills, etc. It could be due to the volume of customers going through the buffet., however keeping it clean should not be an option.

We've stayed at The Golden Nugget in Las Vegas several times and thoroughly enjoyed our acommodations. This one in Laughlin needs some serious work. The room needs many improvements, including clean carpeting. Both rooms seem to be very run down and the plumbing in the bathrooms needed some serious work. The GN used to be one of the premier places to stay but it is really outdated and the rooms are definitely in need of a much needed updating. Not a whole lot of choices to choose from when staying in Laughlin so I recommend GN or Aqauraius. The room is tiny, furniture is old and the TVs are the old tube 27". The floor had a huge stain in the middle […] of the room otherwise the rooms were clean. The bed is somewhat uncomfortable and small for a queen (think its a full and not a queen). If u dont have high expectations and understand the rates are very reasonable for what you're getting, i would recommend. Lees meer

Great value for a one night stay breaking up a trip from Flagstaff via the Grand Canyon to LA. Very pleasant atmosphere, enjoyed the casino and casual dining. Room was spotless, and quiet. Definitely thinking of perhaps spending a bit longer in Laughlin sometime in the future.

I was very disappointed with my decision to stay at the Golden Nugget. In Laughlin I chose the Golden Nugget because it was a brand name I thought represented quality with some luxury. The hotel was located perfectly for my trip, a comfortable mileage distance from Phoenix, providing me with comfortable drive times. Upon arriving in my room I found […] used dental floss on the carpet. Not ever a good thing. During the first part of my six state trip I became accustom to free in room Wi-Fi, free coffee in my room, and a free breakfast to start my day, a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Most hotels now offer flat screen TV with FOX News, and other premium channels. Even Super 8 in Baker City OR has all this, and at less than half the price. The Golden Nugget offered none of these things. They even wanted to charge me $1.00 for a toll free call. When asked about it the lady at the desk simply said “Oh we’ve always done that”. Well, they’ll never get a second chance to offer me a poorly cleaned room with no amenities at twice the price. I walked through a couple of other hotels in Laughlin and any of them seemed to be a better choice. Lees meer
