really good

very clean and competitively priced hotel. smelled like pizza though due to the attached pizza restaurant.

Friendly stuff, nice bus transportation to airport and back, nice location near train station, good pizzas in the pizzeria, price of breakfast was quite high comparing to what it included

We stayed at the Hotel Fly Away the night before we left Switzerland. We chose the hotel for its close proximity to the airport and the free shuttle bus to and from the airport. This worked out very well. The staff was friendly and efficient. The rooms were clean and large (compared to many other hotel rooms in which we have stayed throughout Europe.) There […] was no bath tub, only a shower. (Which was fine for us, but may not work for other people.) There was one strange thing: we were told upon check-in that the only room left was one without a telephone. Shuttle service was VERY convenient. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Small neighborhood restaurants are within walking distance so you don't feel pressured to eat in the hotel's restaurant (a little over priced!). The train station was only about a 5 minute walk and an easy ride into Zurich. Tickets can be purchased at the hotel desk.

Comfortable bed, good free shuttle service to the airport, wifi in the rooms which connected first time at a decent speed and a good choice of food types in the hotel - what more do you need from an airport hotel.

They went out of their way to accomodate me when I made a mistake in my reservation. Genuinely cared about me and my convenience. Great hotel and restaurant. Best part the staff! Nice Job!

Spent 3 nights here. Would stay here again. Room was fine, clean, mini refrif bar. Our particular room - bed was bad. Felt springs & 2 people fell into middle. Other than bad bed, room was fine. They did immediately bring a comfort crate to help make bed more comfortable but it was not enough for restful sleep. Also a bit inconvenient was having to […] inform reception the night before what time if you wished to use the free shuttle. We were on vacation so hated to be pinned down. But I think things were slow so this probably would not be a problem if hotel were full. Did not eat breakfast for extra charge so can't say. There are 3 grocery marts within walking distance. The Migros has a food restaurant where you can eat in or take away. Not open late. Think closes at 6 PM. Didn't use but I think you can use a close by sister hotel for free swimming pool or exercise. Nice area. Shuttle makes it conveniently possble to get to airport/train station. You can actually walk (minutes) to a local train platform if you miss out on the free shuttle. The Hotel was okay as far as convenience and comfort goes. My biggest complant would be that the night staff desk clerk was rude and unaccommodating. Plus the free Wifi was spotty and stopped working by morning. Also, would of been nice if they had let us know in advance that there was a free shuttle service. We ended up taking the bus from the airport […] and wandering around for a while in the cold dark streets before stumbling upon it. However, none of these things would prevent me from recommending this hotel or even staying here again. Stayed two nights to visit Zurich and then fly home to UK; to these ends the hotel proved usefully located near Kloten SBB station and of course the shuttle to the airport, also had nice restaurants on site avoiding need to wander in the freezing cold outside! will stay again.

The bed was very uncomfortable and you could hear through the walls. Supposed to be a complimentary shuttle to the airport, but we were charged $5. Cheap compared to a taxi, but shouldn't have had to pay, but it wasn't on my printout, so what could I do. There's no attendant early in the morning and we were accidently locked out of the hotel while we […] waited for the shuttle in the cold. On 07 Feb, I arrived at the hotel at noon although check in was not until 1400. The first thing out of the man's mouth who was on duty at reception was "you didn't request early check in, you have to request it." I told him I didn't know for sure what time I was going to arrive, thus had not requested early check in. He said there were no rooms available. […] Before I could even say that was alright with me that I would wait the two hours for the room, he became arrogant and condescending with me. While continuing to harangue me about being early, he did give me a room, but attempted to make me feel like I was causing him massive grieve to do so and that I was not really welcomed at the hotel. The maid had to go back down to the desk to get my room card re keyed as he didn't do it. Everyone else at the hotel were very pleasant to deal with and went out of their way to welcome me. However, the man I dealt with in reception should not be on the desk dealing with customers, he completely turned me off about the hotel and left me with a sour taste. I will not stay here again. Good hotel with free shuttle to the airport. has two restaurants that are run by Italian's. Very good food. Nice rooms and staff. Only slight negative is the buffet breakfast was not of the same standard.

used a spare blanket which made me itchy in 5 minutes. There was hair from past users. yuck.

It's wonderful that Hotel Fly Away Zurich Airport provide airport shuttle that bring their guest from airport to hotel & hotel to airport. The Bahn station is only a 3mins walk from hotel & the train will bring you into the city in 10mins. The supermarket Dennser is also only 3mins walk from hotel & there is a Cafe/Bakery opposite the hotel to buy affordable […] breakfast if you do not want to go for the hotel buffet breakfast that i think is expensive but Yummy. The girls at the Reception desk is very friendly, attentive & helpful. & the in house pizza restaurant serve very delicious & affordable pizza. I strongly recommended this Clean, reasonably priced & Extremely well located (with amenties nearby) hotel to whoever is visiting Zurich! Lees meer

The original room they gave us had a strong chemical smell. They were doing some special cleaning in a couple of rooms on our floor and that was where the smell was coming from. When we asked to move rooms, the person at the front desk appeared to know all about the bad smell and was annoyed that she had to look for another room for us. She said the […] hotel was fully booked for the night. She gave us another room, but obviously someone else had to get the bad smelling room. The room we finally got was very warm and you couldn't do anythinng with the thermostat to cool it down. We asked for a wake-up call for 6:45am and we got our wake-up call at 4:45am instead. slow shuttle

Recommended for one night. It is close to the airport and the train station.

This hotel was at the lower end of the price range in this region, so considering that it was fine. The room was mostly plain white walls, no bath tub, small tube tv. Train station is only a block away, and free shuttle to airport.

We enjoyed our stay. This hotel was close to airport and the train to downtown Zurich.

Very handy to airport, nice rooms, wifi worked in the rooms unlike most hotels that advertise wifi included. Did not get to try restaurant as had to leave early morning. Pizza restaurant in Hotel was great, very friendly staff. All in all, good place to stay.

Took the shuttle from/to the airport, didn't have to wait too long at airport, and it was right on time the next morning. Got in later in the evening, but pizza restaurant was still open and had good pizza. We had a rental car, arrived late but still found plenty of parking. Hotel is close to the airport. Front desk staff was helpful & spoke English. Room was comfy, although we only spent a few hours there as we had an early morning flight.

Stayed here because of the great reviews. So convenient to train and airport. Ideal. The little town, Kloten, is charming. The rooms were quite warm and on the uncomfortable side for sleeping. Wish they would do something about air conditioning and it would be PERFECT.

Lovely, spacious room with classy furnishings including a cute little love seat and a modern, artsy lamp. Very helpful staff. Delicious food at the hotel restaurant. Though restaurant prices are high, I think they are typical for Zurich. Close to airport and convenient hotel shuttle. Other than that, really nothing to recommend this ordinary hotel. Service was poor, even by cold european standards. Argued about whether breakfast was included, although it clearly indicated on reservation. I chose to go to airport instead of arguing over whether I should get coffee.

This was a very comfortable hotel! It wasn't too big, the staff was very helpful, the two attached patio resturants provided delicious food, prior to our flight back to Chicago - plus they offer a free shuttle to and from Zurich International Airport. This is a great property!

The hotel is very close to airport and provides transportation to the airport. We made a reservation for the 7 AM trip when we checked into the hotel, but when we came down in the morning to leave, we were told they were overbooked. Perfect location. Lovely town with a rural feel. Airport transport easy and at no cost. Staff helpful and restaurant very good. Room well equipped, right down to an umbrella in your room for your use!! I would definitely stay again!

We used this as a jumping off point to tour Zurich one day and Rheinfalls the next day. It was ideal. Clean and affordable, comfortable beds and very welcoming and nice staff people. Free internet was a bonus. The breakfast was way to expensive - but there is a GREAT cafe just up the street. Switzerland is very expensive but beautiful. We kept to a […] budget by buying sandwiches at the local store and bringing a cooler for drinks for lunch and then meal sharing for dinner. While the food is expensive, they do have large servings. I would highly recommend this hotel for families traveling and looking for a central location for other nearby towns. Lees meer

They were very friendly at the front desk. Excited about our trip and giving us advice on where to go for the weekend. Very helpful and motivated to give great service.

This hotel is ideal for those flying in or out of the Zurich airport. It's in the center of the village Kloten, which means there are a lot of amenities nearby - restaurants, two large supermarkets, other small shops, a playground, and a nature walk are a short walk away. The hotel maintains a free shuttle bus to the airport, which runs every 30 minutes […] and takes less than 10 minutes to reach the terminals. Fly Away is much cheaper than a comparable hotel in Zurich proper, yet you can reach the city in 15 minutes by train. Breakfast is buffet-style and costs extra. And yes, be prepared to spend a lot on food in this country - prices are vastly higher than, for example, Germany or the U.S. If you want to avoid the high restaurant prices, the nearby supermarket comes in handy. Although Hotel Fly Away does not have all the amenities of many "business hotels" in the U.S., the comfort level is solid and the employees very helpful. We also found that despite its location, Hotel Fly Away is quiet, guaranteeing a good night's sleep before or after the long trip. Lees meer

The hotel was very close to the train which can take you to downtown Zurich in 10 minutes. There are several good restaurants near the hotel as well as the two in the hotel. Breakfast was expensive for what you got - CHF18 each day. A complimentary bottle of water was only provided the first night, all other nights you had to buy water. There are a […] couple grocery stores within walking distance. The bed was just a thin, lumpy mattress and I ended up leaving after a week with a sore back. The rooms really had no air conditioning, not what I am used to in the States. Opening the balcony door allowed for some breezes which helped cool the room at night. The people at the front desk were helpful to me but no one mans the desk betwen 11pm and 6 am. Wireless was free in the room but an access code was needed from the front desk which expired after several hours so I had to get it renewed. No big deal though. Lees meer

This is located within a few blocks of the train station, has a free shuttle to the airport and was the perfect place to start our European vacation. A first class Italian restaurant on the property for dinner was wonderful. There is a great bakery down the street where we started our day with fresh crossants and capucinos. K & C, CA

Excellent small hotel for a stay before going to the airport. The rates were very reasonable and the staff very friendly. The hotel has a cute pizzeria and cozy restaurant. The pizza and salad is very good. The house chianti was excellent and very reasonable. I would stay there again without hesitation.
